Got there before the end of happy hour and ordered a drink. Ordered three appetizers that were delicious. Unfortunately, the service was terrible. We never saw the waiter again until we were ready to leave. Water glasses were empty. Oh, and the waiter had on so much aftershave it took our breath away

Delicious food, great atmosphere, and friendly, courteous staff. Can’t imagine a better place to grab a bite to eat in the South Portland area. A+

Happy hour; Ribs and sauce: plum sauce $ 5: dried and meat was tough to cut off the bone. Salt & pepper fried calamari strips $ 6: lightly fried and garnished with red onion. Served with chipotle remoulade: this could have been fried a bit more. They were limp, but sauce was flavorful. Wings: comes in different flavors: sweet & spicy plum, hot. Both were flavorful. Served with carrot and celery sticks and ranch dressing. Fish tacos: blackened cod with chipotle remoulade, fresh cabbage, pepper jack cheese, pico de gallo in flour tortillas. Served with fresh salsa: bland. Dessert: strawberry shortcake: strawberries were fresh, whipped cream was lightly whipped. Shortcake was a little hard. Great value but food not exceptional. Service was just phenomenal. Will be back if in the area.

Nothing too impressive about this bar other than its the closest one near my house. The service is usually good but is sometimes very slow. It’s got a huge dance floor!

Was at the hotel for the day for a conference so we decided to have lunch in the restaurant instead of the buffet. The waitress mixed up my order completely. When my food still hadn’t arrived by the time my friend finished her lunch I cancelled my order because i wouldn’t have time to eat before getting back to the conference. It didn’t seem like the waitress was very happy even though I’m sure she bought my order to the table next to us. They did still make my sandwich and brought it out to me as I was leaving. They did expect me to pay for the bowl of chili they brought me instead of the cup I ordered as the side to my sandwich. Pretty lame, I really just wanted the sandwich. The few bites I had of my sandwich were good, wish I had had time to eat it as planned. So fine food I’m sure(my friend said her burger was mediocre) but service was skewed that day.

The food was not the greatest. This fish and chips had stale coleslaw and lettuce. Do not order dragon rolls or tuna. Sushi tastes like it was made days ago, crumbled and wasn’t a pretty presentation at all. Calamari was delicious but again, stale lettuce. The service was crappy. He spilled food while serving our dinner. We were sitting alone in this empty place for long periods of time. There was hair in our food and they didn’t compensate us when we received our bill. We had to reason with the waiter! On top of that, I did not get everything I ordered. I was missing a soup. At the end of our perfect night, my friends and I walked out of there disgusted.

Stayed at the holiday inn next door and had a couple of free breakfast buffet coupons and our kids ate for $ 3 each. I was pleasantly surprised at the amount of food being offered: eggs, bacon, oatmeal, potatoes, waffles, crepes, fresh fruit, and juice just to name a few things being offered. Will come back again when in the area.

So I had a gift certificate for this restaurant. I called and asked if I could use my gift certificate on take out(I needed to head back to the office). They seem put out with me but allowed me to order anyhow. I ended up ordered for the whole office so it was a large order. When I showed up, the manager slammed the food down and put his hand out for the gift card. Did not say a single word to me. I left feeling uncomfortable. When I got back to the office, one mile away, the food was all cold and soaking wet. I dont know why my turkey sandwich was wet. No one my office had a good meal. We threw the food out.

Note: This is for the bar. Not a «restaurant» for those over 25, or those not drinking copiously. Unwelcomed is the best word to describe how we felt. The waiter hesitated to give us beer samples and appeared impatient even though he had very few customers. When choosing the side for our burger, we asked which was better – the fries or the tots, only to be informed they’re both frozen. Wow. To his credit, he agreed to replace it with a salad. When the bill came, we pointed out kindly that we had been charged regular price for the drinks, even though we’d been told by three people it was Happy Hour. He told us Happy Hour pricing only applied to the food. «Hmmm,» I said, «That’s odd. Sounds like you might want to talk to your co workers and get on the same page.» To this he insisted, «I know I’m right.» I hated leaving such a small tip, after waitressing for many places in my college days, but he simply didn’t care. I was trained that the customer was always right.

My husband, granddaughter and I stopped in the B3 Bistro when we were in town for a softball tournament. It was Friday evening,(7p) June 20, 2014. We were famished; had been packing all day and took the two hour drive over. When we first walked in, the first red flag was there were only about three tables of people in the large dining room. Friday nite and should have been busier. We stood waiting to be seated, several waiters looked at us but never said welcome, we will be with you in a minute. Second red flag was getting our waiters attention.(all eve) To order, to bring our drinks, to get water. He was MIA most of the time. It took about a half hour from order to receive our food(not good), I had the hamburger, It was good, but not fab. My husband had the fish tacos he said were also ok. Granddaughter had fish and chips with halibut. The fish was so over battered, then over deep fried, it really ruined the expensive halibut. We did share a chocolate desert that was great(it came from an Oregon bakery). We never did get our bill, so we waited quit awhile at the register. Needless to say that night we were all feeling a little ill. The next morning my husband was very sick(for two days), my granddaughter was only mildly ill, and I felt ok. I called the B3 the next morning just to let them know they might want to check into that issue. Needless to say, we wont be back. Service was slow and lousy, food overpriced and food not worth it.

This is a review for the restaurant and not the detached bar on the other side of the building. Overall, it’s a nice place that feels like it’s a bit in the middle of nowhere. The times I have come here, this place was empty. Usually that’s not a good sign, but in this case, just enjoy the extra peace and quiet. The restaurant retains that freshly-renovated look and service has been consistently excellent. The couple of times I’ve been here I really enjoyed their bacon-wrapped pork tenderloin and sausage, the calamari, and the classic meatloaf. For the most part, the food really hits it out of the park, but they seem to have one herpy-derpy chef that messes up some part of the meal. For example, the Jack Daniels dipping sauce with the two-way pork was atrocious to an otherwise flawless preparation. Another day the meals were great except the crème brûlée was a disastrous let-down. If the owners would hunt down and fire the saboteur in their midst, this place would be a 5 star hit. Food: 4 Ambiance: 5 Service: 5 Value: 3 TL;DR: Great hotel restaurant

Wonderful breakfast, nice waiter. Quiet and clean. Will come again. $ 8 for the breakfast special was a good deal for a hotel restaraunt

Here’s the deal: it’s a hotel restaurant, I know that comes with a certain stigma, but it was good. I was looking for a place to grab breakfast before shopping at Costco nearby. The space has been remodeled. I had the Eggs Benedict and it was better than I expected. The service was good. My husband enjoyed his breakfast. We will return.

they had me at wine, balsamic, cherry reduction… They delivered, the steak was terrific, ironically I felt it was a good thing that the asparagus was overcooked and mushy, no guilt to leave it on the plate, more room for the steak and the nicely done mashed potatoes. Did I mention the basalmic reduction? Oh my… Oh my. I ordered the flat steak medium and it was cooked to a perfect medium. My wife had the rigatoni and really appreciated the symphony of flavors including hazelnuts, cranberries and spinach. The Unilocal deal got me in the door, the food will bring us back. I have no problem with Five stars for the food, but having to pay extra for a salad and no table cloths for a $ 50 meal makes it tough to justify. The mushy asparagus made it no contest. We are eager to try the bar fare at happy hour and will keep this place on the list of places for special occasions. The fact that a place attached to a holiday inn can serve up this quality of grub shatters my stereotypes of restaurants attached to mid class hotels. By the way, I should shout out to the service… To notch, good sense of humor, attentive but not intrusive…

B3 replaced the Garlic Onion restaurant in the Holiday Day Inn. We had a Unilocal deal($ 20 for $ 40), which was helpful! The drinks we had were great and so was our dinner. My boyfriend highly enjoyed his halibut plate. The décor is modern with a nice ambiance. There is also a bar across the hall if you want to watch games or listen to music.

From the moment I entered the new Boone Town Bistro and Bar I was immediately greeted and welcomed by the staff and the new modern and comfortable décor with a relaxed atmosphere and spacious seating areas. Just what I needed! What also caught my eye was a few select desserts in their display case that simply intrigued me. They looked delicious. I was also impressed to find a nice assortment of entrees, burgers, sandwiches and pastas to choose from, all of which made it hard to choose from since they all sounded very good to me. We had a large group of us dine in the restaurant so I was able to see a good sampling of many of these offerings first hand and simply put, the menu and items selected by our group were enjoyed by all. From fresh salads like the Romaine Caesar, gourmet burgers, fish & chips, Cuban style sandwich, this hearty and delicious looking Mac n Cheese and my own choice, a succulent salmon salad which I thoroughly enjoyed to several unique and inspiring dessert options to make you think twice about saving room for them, the dining experience was quite simply fantastic and our group agreed. If you haven’t been to Boone Town Bistro & Bar I would strongly recommend it. Fantastic food, terrific menu and prompt service.
