Dined here on 2÷24÷16. While the service was friendly and good(there weren’t that many people there) I would say the food was a bit disappointing. We started with the fried goat cheese appetizer. It was barely warm and hardly any of the fig glaze so they were bland. I had the«filet» — it did not resemble other filets I’ve had. It was pretty thin and wasn’t melt in your mouth buttery. Also, a little to much sauce — over powered the flavor of the meat. The potatoes seemed like just a boiled potato, sliced thin and stacked like chips. No seasoning and there was no salt or pepper on the table. The broccoli was al dente, but flavorless and a little cold. I won’t speak for others in my party but I’ll say I was disappointed after reading previous reviews. Not sure I will try again.

Food is great but what makes this place amazing is the staff. My daughter had brought her diary but her pen did not work. She asked Sarah the waitress if she could borrow a pencil. Sarah could not find a pencil so the manager went to CVS to buy my daughter crayons! This is the meaning of above and beyond. I’ll come back here over and over.

I have been to Thirteen a few times now and I really love this place! I am a huge fan of their sister restaurant(13 Even) so when this location opened I knew I had to come check it out. This location is really big and open and they have a nice bar in the middle. I really like the indoor and outdoor setup they have here and it’s especially nice when the weather is cool outside. The staff has always been really friendly too. I have been here for happy hour and brunch. Happy hour is half priced drinks and a couple of items on the menu are half off, I know the curry shrimp is because I ordered it and I also think the chicken wings are and one other item I can’t remember. The curry shrimp is really good and a bit spicy which I loved! The shrimp was sautéed in curry seasoning and served with spicy cherry peppers and Naan bread. I had a mule drink that was also really delicious and really refreshing to help cool off the spicy shrimp. When I came for brunch the place was pretty packed, but we were still able to get a table for 2 pretty quickly. They don’t have unlimited mimosa or bloody mary deals but the prices per glass were very reasonable. I had one of the best bloody marys there for brunch(ok I had 2) lol they were perfectly spicy as I requested and they weren’t shy with the vodka. For food we decided to try a couple items and just share them. We started with the biscuits & gravy and it’s unique because it’s bacon gravy not sausage like most places. The biscuits were super soft and buttery and the gravy was so good we almost licked the plate’s lol! Then we got the Fried Green Tomatoes that are topped with bacon, a fried egg, and served with fried potatoes and the Shrimp & Grits. The shrimp is tossed in a chorizo tomato type sauce and it was a little spicy but not too much. The shrimp & grits were both of our favorites and the fried green tomatoes were good but it was kind of a plain dish for us and was missing something but I am not sure what. I think the potatoes needed something like some peppers and onions. Overall though everything was delicious and we pretty much cleaned our plates. I definitely need to go back and try the dinner menu soon!

Pretty good tapas. We had 4 appetizers and a bottle of Malbec. The crab cakes were small and disappointing, the shrimp curry was pretty good served with pita bread. The scallops were delicious but small and the friend chicken biscuits were amazing! The best part of our meal was the bread pudding. I can almost say the best I’ve ever head served with ice cream and brandy, do not miss this!

2÷11÷16 — Thirteen is a great number and an even better restaurant. Before we got to the door, the door opened and we were greeted like we were friends they were waiting to see. Our server, Miriam, was our tour guide for the evening. The restaurant inside is beautiful but we wanted to take advantage of the weather. The bar opens to the outside so it felt like we were still part of the action. It was Happy Hour(4−7pm) so all $ 7 glasses of wine were $ 5. We ordered the Canyon Road, Pinot Noir. Miriam gave us a few menu suggestions, some of her favorites. She didn’t miss a beat and we took all her recommendations. We ordered the Curry Shrimp sautéed in house-made curry seasoning served with spicy cherry peppers and warm Naan bread.(which was on happy hour special $ 5) and the Peanut Hummus served with Naan, carrots, cucumbers and sweet, spicy cherry peppers($ 7). For entrees we ordered the Pork Chop, 14 oz. house-cured, butter and sage braised bone in chop served on parsnip mash and apple butter with grilled garlic asparagus($ 19) and the Grouper, Onion crusted sautéed wild grouper served atop roasted garlic polenta and orange kale with vanilla beurre blanc($ 26). I’m not a dessert person but after Miriam mentioned their Bread Pudding… House made with challah bread, dark chocolate, white chocolate and cherries. Served warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and caramel on top… we were SOLD!($ 8) The staff at Thirteen is AMAZING! There were only two tables outside and they made sure our waters were filled, our plates were taken away, asked if we needed more wine, even if we needed the warmer to be turned on, etc. Super attentive!

After having this place bookmarked in my head I Finally had a chance to stop in. I’ve driven pasted it over a dozen times and from the exterior it’s quite chic. We decided we wanted a quiet wine and tapas night since we had dinner at the house. Walking in the place is quite lovely and you’re greeted by several friendly staffies. She gave us the option to sit in or out in-which they have a covered patio area outside but it’s all screened. The night was rather cold and windy so for the sake of my hair I decided for us to sit in(yes my hair is a factor) :)~The waitress seated us close to the bar which surrounds interesting scenery, which I thought was fancy. We started off with the Civello white wine which we kinda did a point at the menu and choose one. What I was fond of was by each selection of wine is a lovely description on how the taste of the wine will represent. Several Citrus flavor and fruit flavored seem to be on the menu. With that said it was difficult to imagine what that would taste like so that was a bit different. The bottle came and was presented well. The waitress was very attentive and checked on us quite often. She had the idea that we were going to order dinner but we explained we just wanted wine but caved once we saw a picture of the hummus and veggies. The hummus was quite delicious and very filling. The pita was warm and melted in your mouth ! The hummus had a scrumptious zest to it. I really didn’t want to share but out of courtesy I did… hehe The presentation was everything! I can’t wait to come back and stay for supper.

Thirteen is the perfect choice for casual dining, small plates, the most hospitable service you can find, superb cocktails, wine, and a few selections of craft beers. The location is excellent. The interior is cozy with a beautiful bar that connects to the outdoor area that is a little oasis with string lights and some nice greenery to surround you as you dine. The food is phenomenal and the cocktails are made flawlessly. And I honestly feel like I was talking to long lost friends when I conversed with the staff at Thirteen and it made me feel very welcome and comfortable. They have one of the best happy hours. From 4pm — 7pm every day(except when they are closed on Monday). They offer ½ price drinks and $ 5 bites. This is a crazy good deal and I loved the Vodka Moscow Mule and the Manhattan that my husband and I ordered. You get to choose the liquor that you prefer in your Moscow Mule and they use a fantastic ginger syrup that I believe is made in-house. It’s one of the best Mules that I’ve had. We ordered the Fried Chicken Sliders and they are one of the best dishes that my taste buds have divulged in. The chicken is fried and tossed in a Sriracha maple syrup and then put in between two house-made cheddar biscuits that are out of this world amazing. The best part is, they come with a side of piping hot, perfectly seasoned sweet potato fries and a spicy mayo dip. My husband and I split it but one person could easily have this as a «light» meal. Brunch is served Sundays from 11am — 3pm and you can get $ 15 unlimited mimosas or $ 5 Smirnoff Bloody Mary. A little bird-y told me that they are also revamping their menu to include more savory and healthy options for brunch as well. All I can say is, I can’t wait to try out everything and anything from Thirteen.

They have an excellent brunch here. We ordered the Crab Eggs Benedict on arepas and the egg sliders with bacon and kale. Both came with home fries. Both dishes couldn’t have been approved upon. The Hollandaise sauce was extremely fresh and home made. The«Patio» cocktail was worth the $ 10 price tag. The staff is very engaging and the owner was onsite and talked to each of the guests at least once. Happy Hour looks great as drinks are half price and wine are $ 5. The craft beer on tap is an eclectic collection that, while only having six taps, satiates the maximum variety of palates. The Fathead Blueberry ale will have to wait for our next visit. My observation is that this is a solid independent restaurant with a hands-on owner who exemplifies the significance of the owner as the first and last make-or-break factor in the life of a business.
