I was in the area for the holidays and desperately needed my hair cut. I chose this place because it’s an Aveda salon and I love Aveda products. Unfortunately I will never return to this place. I had my hair cut by the owner of the salon and it didn’t go well. First off, I don’t think he meant to insult my hair, but he did. Then no matter how many times I asked him to fix my bangs, he still didn’t get it right. Second, this place is very overpriced for what you get. A simple trim should not cost $ 60. Lastly, they ask you to put a credit card on file in order to hold future appointments. I’m sorry, but that is not a good business model. Save yourself sometime and money and choose somewhere else to get your hair done.

I saw Ruby for a facial & reflexology session. The atmosphere was very tranquil & beautifully decorated. The facial was one of the best I’ve ever received. The reflexology was a wonderful addition to the time spent in this relaxing place. I absolutely recommend Ruby at De Rouge!

This salon is a class act-D.C. in Winchester. Yet never a wait, and no complicated juggling of clients. Just a relaxing experience by a master of his art (Daniel) in a tasteful, comfortable and friendly environment.

I’ve had my hair cut, colored and highlighted by Daniel and have always been extremely happy with the results. The entire team at the salon is professional, welcoming and very talented. I’d highly recommend this salon.

I’ve returned several times because I like Aveda salons and their products. The salon is absolutely gorgeous and the ambiance can’t be beat. The staff is friendly and welcoming (I got my hair cut by the owner). Also, this is Winchester – it’s not like you have an abundance of choices when it comes to high end salons. I’ve been coming to this salon for a while and have had my hair cut and colored here – but I think I’m finally done. I have never been impressed with what I end up with.
When I had my hair colored months ago, it was the opposite of what I asked for – in fact, it was exactly what I said I DIDN’T want… so I spent +$ 150 for a color that I had to fix with a $ 15 of at-​home hair color. But yet I went back, three or four more times and got a cut that was good, but not great. The final straw was when I asked for a specific hair cut and even brought in a photo. The style I ended up with was NOTHING like I asked for. If I want to get a cut/​style/​color by someone who completely ignores my wishes, I won’t pay top dollar to do it; I’ll just go to Hair Cuttery.

Awful! The owner is the head stylist and I question his knowledge on cutting hair. He insulted my hair and said it was very sad. (Not sure what that even means). He didn’t listen to what I wanted and I walked out of there with a jagged haircut. I returned a few days later and one of the other stylists fixed his mistakes the best she could without cutting more off. Very unhappy with the «head stylist» Shant be returning.

I’ve had my hair done 3x now at this salon. They are all very nice people but they are consistently running late. Like REALLY late.
The first time the appointment was so late they sent the massage therapist to give me a complimentary hand massage while I waited. That’s the main reason I went back is because they actually felt bad every time for being so behind.
1^st trip: I cannot remember the ladies name who cut my hair but it was good. Not the best cut I’ve ever had but it was a decent cut that lasted probably 6months before needing cut again. To be honest I normally get my hair cut 1−2x yearly since it’s so expensive.
2^nd trip: Kira did my color and I loved it. It took forever but it was worth it. I was supposed tongue a hair cut that day too but since the color took to log I had to leave to get my kid. She made an apponent for the next week to do the cut so I was happy leaving the salon.
3^rd trip: didn’t happen because Kira unexpectedly left the day before my cut. I was super bummed and hesitant to let the new person (been there all of two days) do my hair.
3^rd trip rescheduled once comfortable with owner offering to do my hair. I had hair half way down my back and I went in with a picture of LONG hair cut. Sadly I came out with my hair at my shoulders. It’s a great cut if I put the time in to make it curly everyday but with a 1 year old it’s too much, so my hair is on a pony tail daily now.
1. I want dog I knew where Kita went so I could go to her again because she is FANTASTIC.
2. I really wish I hadn’t ever gone back and had driven back to ashburn for a hair cut by someone I know and trusted.

Ruby is wonderful!!! She is very sweet and does a good job. She takes her time with you and makes the experience relaxing.

I absolutely love this salon. The people are friendly, attentive and helpful. The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting. I always leave perfectly satisfied with the service I have received. For my most recent cut and color, I waited almost 6 months because I live in Chicago, but I knew I was going to be in the area and really wanted to get the kind of quality service I have come to expect from Daniel at De Rouge. I was not disappointed! Totally worth the wait. I am willing to pay for really great hair and I like knowing I’m going to leave feeling like I’ve gotten my money’s worth. I get that kind of satisfaction from De Rouge every time. Daniel is the kind of professional that has the confidence to make you feel instantly at ease and he has the skill to back it up. He is equally as adept with my best friend’s naturally curly locks as he is with my straight, fine hair. He’s fantastic and this is a lovely salon.

Kira colored my hair and did a great job! I sent her a picture of what I was looking for and she had the color spot on. The color was full and absolutely beautiful and I have received many compliments! Kira is very professional and definitely knows what she is doing. I highly recommend her for any hair coloring and/​or cutting needs.

Another great haircut and a great smile from my hairdresser if you want a good haircut in this Winchester area please let them cut your hair she does a great job and really takes extra effort

You’re really not sure what your hair looks like until two weeks after you leave the hair specialist two weeks one by and my hair still look great I’ll be back again

The staff are friendly and they do hairstyles great! Kira is wonderful. I love Aveda products both the makeup and the hairstyling make me feel pampered and fresh. Im originally from NY and I feel like Im home when Im there. If you want quality care come here!
