My husband and I had been meaning to do our backyard but we did not really know much about landscaping design. I set up an appointment with four local landscapers to give us some ideas and quotes and although Brad (the owner) wasn’t the lowest quote or the highest we decided to go with him. Brad really took the time to get our vision and incorporate our expectations with our budget. We liked that he knew so much about plants and what would go best with our vision. He was always available to talk to us, through email or phone. Brad was even able to make last minute changes to our plans before our final plans were drawn up, which was very convenient and thoughtful of him. The best thing about getting a chance to work with him was being able to have him give us the positive and negative’s of our choices. Most landscapers just want to do what you want, without thinking if it’s the best thing or they want to sell you on what they think is best. Brad was able to balance his experience with our demands. We were very happy with the design and knowing that if we ever decided to make changes to it he would be available to help us make it work. You will not be disappointed, he’ll work hard to guarantee you get what you want. We are super excited to be working with Roger Pitkin on the nitty gritty part of the next phase.

We hired Brad Gore & Roger Pitkin to do the landscape design and installation of our entire property (a new build). We were living out of state at the time so we needed someone who could work well with us via email, phone calls, etc. From the very beginning, it was apparent that we were in very good hands with both Brad & Roger. Brad’s knowledge, experience and overall wonderful attitude made the process much easier for us. We never felt rushed and he really listened to how we wanted our overall landscape to look. Brad was willing to work with a list of plants that I wanted incorporated into the overall «look» and was able to point out plants that would not work in our particular climate — always with a suggestion that worked just as well. He came up with a beautiful design and he kept it within the budget that we gave him. The schedule that he provided was completely met. Once the design was completed, the installation was turned over to Roger Pitkin. Roger and his crew just completed the job and it is just beautiful. Roger was wonderful to work with and his employees showed up each and every day ready to work. They were professional and very polite. Roger was on site every day and was always available to discuss any issues. His knowledge of plants and landscaping was extremely beneficial. It was also great that Brad had no problem coming back over twice to talk with us about something that we wanted to change a little. I would highly recommend both Brad & Roger. Every time I look out of my windows at my yard I am totally happy.

Brad Gore… what can I say, his designs and expertise are second to none! From the moment he initially met with us, he is nothing short of outstanding. The way he listens to what we wanted, to him putting into design is amazing. We wanted a design that was simple, beautiful, elegant and easy to care for, and he delivered! From the selection of plants, the design of the hard scape to the design elements, he hit it all.
When we initially made contact with him, he showed up when he said he would, listened to us and did the perfect design. He made two subsequent visits, one with a preliminary plan, to see if his design was what we wanted and another with the final design with full plans (lighting, drainage, irrigation, etc).
Would I deal with Brad again, most definitely! Would I recommend him, without hesitation!

Roger pitkin’s crew just finished up the landscape and we couldn’t be more pleased. Roger was hear everyday with his crew. He even came by on New Year’s Eve after the snowfall to check on the drains. Attached are some pics.

Brad Gore did a beautiful design of my patio, including low seating walls, a decorative rock wall and wainscot on the house, fountain, lighting, decorative walls, patio cover. It was a large plan. He also planned the garden, telling me which plants to buy and exactly the kind of drip emitters to use on each plant. The results are beautiful. Roger Pitkin executed his design and I recommend him for the work. At one point Roger and I decided to modify one of the decorative elements and found out that Brad was right all along. We had to redo that part. I learned from this not to doubt what Brad tells you to plant or install as he puts a lot of time and effort into his design. and has years of experience. He is also very perceptive at understanding what you want and what will work with your house and yard. He is easy to work with and a very nice personality. I recommend him highly.

Hired Brad to landscape my back yard. He was easy to work with and had a variety of wonderful designs/​ideas to choose from. He is very knowledgable about all of the plants native to California. My back yard looks beautiful and am very please with the work they did!
