Ace Hardware

The Ace brand paint is very good. I purchase items for my home and business here once or twice a week and I have to say the people are always friendly and know their products. They also sell wood heating fuel for winter which is a nice touch and convenient. The Ace rewards card is a great way to earn money off on future purchases.

Went there today to buy a little pocket knife for my keychain. The one I used to carry broke so the blade wouldn’t lock, it sort of flopped backwards, which is no good if you want to cut open a carton or something. The knife I had before the broken one ended up in the trash can at TF Greene Airport when I forgot to take it off my keychain to leave at home. When I went through security, the TSA Agent looked at me bemusedly and asked «What are you? Stupid?»
So I went into ACE Hardware today to replace the knife. They didn’t have exactly what I wanted but they did have a mini box cutter for $ 4, which will fit on my keychain and will come in perfectly for cutting the straps on new cartons of copy paper at work.
Ace is in a big parking lot with a Geissler’s, Dom’s Restaurant, and a side entry to Subway. The store was neat, had a lot of stuff on the shelves, and the guy at the register was polite and nice and called me by name (I guess he read my ID badge).
All in all, my stop there worked out great.
