I live in San Francisco bay area and a big fan of BBQ. I have tried several BBQ places throughout the country and this place is definitely one of the best. The ribs are excellent, pulled pork melts in your mouth and the tri-​tip is heavenly. I really also liked the salad and the beefy beans. The server was nice and friendly, service time was fairly quick and the restaurant was clean and well decorated. I stopped by this place after a long drive and the food here really took my road trip to another level. Oh, and if you like hot sauce, you must try the super nitro, I haven’t had anything hotter than that in my entire life.

I’m giving this place 4 stars for the mere fact it’s in Winnemecca NV (I’m sure I spelled that wrong). Pulled pork was very good, but not so good later that day… I would still stop again

We had a FANTASTIC BBQ meal here. Tri-​tip sandwich was right on the money for me. Loved the various sauces. Everyone in our group of nine people raved about their meal. Wait service was possibly the best I’ve ever had. Almost worth the five hour drive from SLC to go eat there again. Next time I’m driving through, this is an attraction

None of us were impressed by this place. The service was mediocre at best and we could literally see our food sitting under a heat lamp for almost ten mins. I ordered the smokehouse Bc I wanted to try all the different meats. It came with ribs and pulled pork and tritip. The tri tip was more like meat shavings than actual tri tip. The pulled pork was severely dry and the ribs were beyond salty. The plates come with a heaping amount of fries but sadly they fall short as well. We ordered sweet potato fries and they gave us the regular, told us it would be 3 mins hey didn’t arrive until we were already done eating and waiting for our check. The bathrooms were not very clean. Will not be eating here again.

This place rocks! Started with the Turbo Nitro wings, dang those buggers are HOT, best spicy wings I’ve had in years. Nachos were good and plentiful. The BBQ was outstanding, the highlight being the ribs, don’t miss those. Tall draft beers, tasty cobbler and great service capped off the meal. Don’t pass this place by if you visit Winnemucca.

Passing through town and saw road signs for The Pig. I’m a sucker for bbq so I had to stop in. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Even scolded the wife for considering fish and chips in a BBQ restaurant. Had the BBQ pork ribs, they were pretty good. Not the greatest I’ve ever had but the quality was maybe a 7 out of 10. I give them four stars for atmosphere and staff otherwise they may have snagged a three.

Checked Unilocal for a BBQ Place to eat at on our way thru Winnemucca to Boise and found this place. What a cute place with great atmosphere. Debbie took our order pronto and the «cold» beers. Don’t worry about trying to see the TV they have at least 8 of them .
The food was great. But here is the ultimate highlight. My husband left his fanny pack slipped over his chair and walked out forgetting it. Debbie came running out with it to flag us down. OMG we were so happy to get it back. What a honest person she is. Thanks again Debbie we hope to see you again sometime.

This place is great. Real dive bar with awesome food. The prime rib sandwich was cooked perfectly and the different sauces really add to the flavor. Wife had order of wings they were huge and had good flavor. Service was quick and to top it off very friendly. Beer of course was cold.

As previous reviews have stated The Pig BBQ is worth the stop. We were on our way from Sacramento to Boise and stopped here for dinner; I’m glad we did. The service was very professional and friendly. The barbecue was good, but not noteworthy. I enjoyed a Coney Island hard root beer with my pulled pork which was extremely satisfying. Watch out drinking these they are 5.8%. On a side note, we did order some sweet potato fries which we enjoyed, but felt the portion was weak leaving us somewhat dissatisfied.
Bottom line, we would definitely come back for more of what The Pig has to offer!

Just passing through town & craving BBQ. I got the monster wings and pig skins. Hubby ordered the big pig burger. All were excellent!!! I ordered to go and it was hot with wonderful favors. Great hospitality!!! The hostess was really sweet and a man that helped me was genuinely caring and professional. He may have been the Owner or Manager. I have enough leftover for breakfast! I highly recommend this BBQ Joint!

The ribs are legit! I’m telling you what I smacked the half rack with no problem they were Hella good… the sides tho… let the whole dish down big time. The beans are not the business and the potato salad has pickles. I’ve personally never had it like that and I didn’t like them at all. but the ribs… omg the ribs

Cool place, great stop on the desert trek across Nevada to get to Park City. Ribs are AMAZING. BBQ sauces served on the side, as they should be, to dress the beautifully smoked, dry rubbed ribs. Big portions. The chipotle dipping sauce for the fries is killer! Service is great too!

Fall off the bone ribs and chicken. You pick the sauce and go for it. We did the combo ribs and chicken which fed the two of us and we still took some home! Will go back for sure. Good service too.

What a find! On our way home from Lake Tahoe, we spotted the billboard, and chose The Pig in lieu of the other choices of fast food, fast food or fast food. To start, the service from our server Kandeane was amazing — warm and friendly. Husband got the fried mushrooms to start, and he said they were great. We both got the Smokehouse for entrees. He got coleslaw as his side, and the smoked sausage as his optional meat, and I got the pigtail fries and pulled pork. The pigtail fries were AH-​mazing (so good that I wish I had room to eat them all), and the pulled pork had flavor for days. The ribs were the star though! The beans that came with the platter were excellent, too, but of course, I gave priority to the meat!
In short, if you’re passing through, do yourself a favor and stop in at the pig. A warm welcome and a killer meal is waiting for you!

Two weeks ago I was delivering three large pallets of Christmas packages for a company that had gone under and I offered to help.
So on way back to Sparks from Battle Mountain (wow long haul lol), I saw the sign from the road. I pulled in and gave it a shot.
As you walk in the door, your nose will take in the delicious scent of barbecue, not over whelming but just comforting.
I sat at the counter, ordered the rib sample with beans. I forgot to take a pic but those ribs were so good, I’m writing this review three weeks since.
Stop by during your long drive and refuel with a delicious affordable rib barbecue. Oh, good for watching sports also.

If you are stuffy and dull-​then you should skip this place.

Best BBQ? Not in my experience. However it was very good
The beans are tasty, the ribs were tender and has a good rub (tip: order your sauce on the side, the ribs are good without it)
The coleslaw is better then most I’ve had.
My only irritation was being tempted with homemade peach cobbler… but they were out!
Oh well. Great service, busy place and a good meal.
