We are traveling from Boise, Idaho to Truckee, CA and I goggled restaurants along the way. Found This gem & weren’t disappointed. Melissa our server was awesome. She had a wedge salad split for us in the back. The small pepperoni was big enough to satisfy our lunch & pizza cravings. The crust was this and delish. The two guys in the kitchen are doing a beautifull job. Go. It is worth it.

Stopped in on a Friday night for dinner as we headed to Reno, bartender let us sit wherever we wanted very laid back atmosphere. Bartender /waitress brought menus by soon after and took our drink order, very friendly and had good suggestions. Ordered garlic knots and wedge salad to split with the wife, salad came first which was good not exceptional. Our garlic knots were taken to another table so we received our pizza and appetizer at the same time, not the end of the world but not ideal. Garlic knots were tasty and hot, marinara sauce very good. Ordered Nevadan pizza(chicken and jalapeños) and it was pretty good but I’ve had better pizza. Overall a decent dining destination. Atmosphere again was relaxed and definitely local which is great in our book. If your driving through Winnemucca give this place a shot especially if you like carbs!

I’m town for a dirt bike race. Staying overnight so we needed to grab some dinner. Found this spot from my beloved Unilocal app. Right from walking up this place was a hit. Cool temps don’t make sitting outside doable but the outside patio is set up perfect for when temps are warm. Plenty of parking I must also add. The décor of this restaurant is awesome. I had a beer which was tasty and cold the wife had a glass of wine which she also enjoyed. Our server was on point with everything. We ordered a pizza the ‘owyee’ I butchered the spelling. It was delicious and i am glad we ordered more than we needed cause I’ll gladly have the left overs. We got a medium which has 8 slices, not pan crust but not thing either. Just right. I love a locally owned spot in any town but his is a hit on all accounts. I would recommend this to anyone in the area or driving throu. Cheers.

Be sure to save room for the Brownie Blitz dessert! We had the Family Salad(very fresh and more than enough for our group of four) a Sweet Sarah Pizza and Spaghetti Americana. Everything was delicious and the service was excellent.

This was a solid pizzeria with really friendly staff. The pizza was good, but not awesome enough for a 4 or 5 star rating. $ 3 microbrews are a nice bonus, too. Their Large pizza easily fed my family of 4. They don’t offer a Combo, unfortunately, so if you try to make your own on a per-topping basis, it can get pricey real quick. We, instead, had a pizza with chorizo, mushrooms, and something else. It was good… more cheese than I’d expect, with a decent sauce and crust. One tip… they have jalapenos in oil and vinegar that are really great when added to the pizza… get a side of those!

This place is FANTASTIC! Garlic knots were amazing. Had the Hunter’s Haven and the Paradise — both were delicious. Service was exceptionally good. Loved it!

Now, I’ll freely admit right off the bat that I may have made some errors in my ordering. I did not get the pizza. I had gone there expecting to, but other stuff on the menu sounded tasty, so I figured I’d give other options a try. I probably should’ve stuck to the pizza. First off, the space is really nice. This is the kind of place that, if I lived in town, I’d probably go to regularly to chill at the bar, and sure enough, there were many locals doing just that. Always a good sign. They also had some decent beers and wines available, which was good to see. There was only one waitress and one bartender, though, which was not enough. Saw some people waiting around forever and getting very frustrated. I was in no rush, so I didn’t mind much. May have just been a fluke because someone called out or something. I ended up going with a Screaming Chicken panino and a house salad, which sounded like a nice meal. Unfortunately, it was hit and miss. The salad was just romaine, some diced under-ripe tomato, some bland shredded cheese, and some very stale croutons(it was nice that they toast their own bread for them, but unfortunately they were gummy-level stale.) It was also absolutely drenched in dressing, to the point where I had a soup left on the plate after I ate most of it. Definitely ask for dressing on the side. The Screaming Chicken was, unfortunately, pretty bland. It had some very nice components, the bread was great, it was pressed/grilled perfectly, the chicken was nicely cooked and sliced… but there just wasn’t any flavor to the cheese or the«spicy mayo spread». They actually may have failed to put the spread on, in hindsight, because it was very dry. Overall, the sandwich just needed… something… to give it a zing of flavor, and it would’ve been great! Maybe if they’d used pickled onions? Mustard? As I said, the components were good quality and put together well, it was just lacking in flavor. Overall the prices were reasonable, and I’m going to give them the benefit of the doubt and do 3 stars instead of 2, because the pizzas I saw come out looked very good. I’ll give them another shot if I’m in town again… but next time, I’ll definitely stick to pizza.

My daughter and I were passing through Winnemucca today and stopped at Winnemucca Pizzaria. We had the minestrone soup with meatballs, the garlic knots, and the Carne Asada salad… everything was delicious! The soup was full of veggies, the broth was flavorful, and the meatballs were tender and tasty. The garlic knots were perfectly baked so they were crisp on the outside and soft and chewy inside. The solo sized salad was plenty for the two of us with our other food; it had the right ratio of toppings to lettuce and the zesty dressing was the perfect complement. The service was attentive, and cheerful. Our waitress went out of her way to make sure our meal was just what we wanted, and she wrapped up our leftovers to go. Overall a great experience. We’ll be back! Shauna C.

We were traveling through and wanted to have some pizza so we tried this place. The patio looked inviting so we sat there. The service was a little slow at first but we learned that a couple of the staff were out and they were running on a skeleton crew. I have to say taking this into account they really rocked it! They were very nice and helpful. The pizza was amazing! I have to say I was not expecting this from Winnemucca. I have not had pizza this good in a long time and I live in a larger city. They use excellent quality cheese, and the crust is awesome! We had the Trifecta and the Sweet Sarah. Both amazing! I will be making a point to stop at this place in the future, definitely worth checking out if you are passing through.

Irabian/ISIS head cook was only issue we had. REFUSED to put onions on ¼ of the pizza. Ssid” I can only do half of the pizza or it all! B. S!!! Great customer service. We will NEVER go back just because of that situation. Waitress was great and food was wonderful. But we refuse to give our money to companies that have no sence of the correct way to treat a customer. Too bad, we have a new cabin close by and would of definitely gone back!!!

Had to try it after reading the reviews. Great little restaurant with a covered outdoor seating area as well. Décor is dark but cheery. Wait staff was pleasant and prompt. We ordered the Owyhee Pizza, canadian bacon, green peppers, pineapple, marinara sauce and a mozzerella cheese blend. We asked if we could have black olives instead of the green peppers. We were told no problem. Pizza came out hot and looked wonderful. A thin crust, perfect amount of sauce, and a good amount of toppings. It was very tasty. When our bill came I looked at it and had a question. Why were we being charged for olives. We had asked about substituting and were told no problem. I had looked prior to asking and did not see a no substitution fee anywhere on the menu. The waitress told us that this is the way their system worked. You can take items off but if you add anything there is a charge. We asked why we were not told that up front, she didn’t have anything to say to that. We pointed out that it would have then been cheaper to have ordered a build your own pizza and she said yes it would have. So why didn’t she say that at the onset. It wasn’t a huge amount of money, but it was the principle of the thing. She went and got her manager and she told us the same thing. No apologies or offer to take off the extra fee. We went ahead and paid it. As we were getting up to leave, the waitress came by and asked us if we would like a dessert on the house. So they did try to make it good. It’s just that we were already on the way out the door, so kind of a weird time to ask. Definitely would recommend the pizza. Just be aware of making any substitutions and check to see if it’s cheaper to do a build your own.

My colleague and I went to Winnemucca for work and heard great things about this pizzeria. The menu was full of amazing sounding pizza, so much so that we could not come to a decision. So, we did the next best thing and asked our server. She asked if we were getting pizza and if so that we should get the garlic knots over the pesto chips. Second we narrowed the pizza down to jalapeño chicken. I don’t even think I have the words to state how incredible it all was and at such a great price! The jalapeño was just enough spice that I could taste it all the way down! The garlic knots had just the right amount of garlic. It was crispy on the outside and soft in the middle, the perfect combination! We are going to be visiting Winnemucca for work quite a bit in the future and I know that this will be a place we will be coming back too!

During our big road trip we stopped super hungry in Winnemucca trying to find a nice place to eat. Since we were in the mood for pizza«Winnemucca Pizzeria» sounded pretty nice to us. All I can say is that the food is one of the best Italian food I have ever eaten. Also the waitress was super cute and nice! Don’t miss out and go there :)

Winnemucca Pizzeria is my favorite pizza in the whole world. I’ve been a billion times but I guess I’ve just never thought to give it a review! We were back in Winnemucca for the day so we met up with friends for lunch at the Pizzeria. It was delicious as always. Our favorite pizza is the Quinn River– with whore sauce, carne asada chunks, red onion, and jalapeño slices. We didn’t have that today, however. We had the equivalent in a calzone but with chicken instead of carne asada. And knots. And the kids had a pizza with pepperoni, sausage, and mushrooms. It was all delicious. Their crust is hands down the best I’ve had ever. Soft on the inside, slightly crisp on the bottom. The pizza sauce is really good too. Our friends got cannelloni which I’ve never had there. They let me have a taste and OHMAN have I been missing out. Tender pasta filled with chicken, bacon, mushroom, and melty cheese and then topped with Alfredo sauce AND pesto. Super rich but so, so good. And BESTPART they have Icky on tap. Except I couldn’t have one today because I had to drive back to reno right after dinner. So instead I had coffee(they use a French press! Fancy!) and it was good and did its job. If you are passing through«The ‘Muc» you really have to stop at the pizzeria. You won’t be let down.

We were searching for something to bring back to our hotel room and the Unilocal rating for this place seemed great so we gave it a shot. Once again, my fellow Unilocalers didn’t let me down. The Great: + Some cool toppings and interesting combinations available. + Our Nevadan pizza was awesome, and we rarely get white pizzas. It was garlicky, spicy, and delicious. + The staff. The lady I placed the order with(and then met when I picked up the pizza) was both friendly and helpful. Awesome. The Average: o A moderately expensive pizza. But, well within the normal range for something of this quality. o The house salad was A-OK, but they didn’t put the dressing on the side. The croutons were a bit weak(stale-ish, but tasty). We ate 2⁄3 of the pizza that night along with a bottle of red wine, and finished it for breakfast the next morning. Thanks Winnemucca Pizzeria… you made our night truly relaxing, which is exactly what we needed after 12 hours of driving.

A fantastic pizzeria. Driving home from California to Utah we decided to get lunch in the small town of Winnemucca. We decided on pizza and saw a Pizza Hut just off the main road… lucky for us the Pizza Hut was closed! Since Pizza Hut was closed we turned to Unilocal and found this great place. We arrived right before it got really busy. We were quickly seated and given our menus. They have a great selection of pizza, salad, calzones, pasta, and more. I ordered the«Lots of Knots» appetizer and was seriously impressed with it. You get 12 bread knots, covered in parmesan, butter and garlic for around $ 5. Those of us who shared them were all impressed. I ate about 8 or 9 of them and was already about full. Then the rest of the food came out. The pizza was awesome. It has a great traditional soft crust. We had just a simple pepperoni and marinara pizza and were very impressed by it. Others in the party had calzones, pasta, and salad, and I didn’t hear a single negative comment about any of it. The service was impressive as well. From what I could tell there was only a single waitress working while we were there. After we arrived quite a few groups came in. She worked hard and fast and we never felt neglected, even though it was just her serving 30+ people. It honestly made me wonder how service can be so bad at places with nowhere near the customer to server ratio. She did fantastic and really made what could have been almost justifiable bad service into great service. Overall the pizza here is fantastic. Stop by here if you’re passing through town and need a good meal. It’s not a quick in and out stop, but it’s worth the time spent.

I love that this place opened up a few years ago, not an easy feat in a town that has more fast food/chain joints than local places to eat, not to mention 3(now 4) major chain pizza places(Round Table, Dominos, Pizza Hut and Papa Murphy’s). The atmosphere is trendy and more updated than most every other sit-down restaurant in town too. They have a really nice sized patio area to take advantage of with heaters and(some) cushioned chairs. Unfortunately they don’t offer a full service bar, a bloody mary would be an awesome addition if available, but nice beer and wine selection(fat tire for instance, not just Coors and Bud). The pizza, while you spend a bit more, is worth it for the atmosphere and also supporting local. My favorite is the Owyhee, a Hawaiian style with green peppers. The menu also includes plenty of other Italian staples like lasagna, calzones and spaghetti etc. Also a few types of salads that come in a solo/individual size or a table size(comes on a pizza tray, to give you a size reference). I enjoyed the Winnemucca wedge salad along with my pizza last visit and it was simply refreshing; a nice hunk of clean, crispy iceburg lettuce, creamy ranch and a ton of real(!) bacon chunks. Overall, its a great place for social gatherings between adult friends, but also for families as they have a little kids corner with toys to help keep the wee ones occupied. If you head in on a Friday night, you’ll see lots of locals enjoying the end of a long work week.
