Break Time Billiards & Sports Bar

Seemed like a cool place but is a bar you have to join for $ 3 a year. But we just wanted a few beers and after verifying we wasn’t from Winston Salem they let us drink.

I really hate writing bad reviews… but I have a huge issue with this establishment. Not only did they have Groupons available for purchase, but as of TODAY they are still advertising the Groupon on their website (I have a dated screenshot, as proof). I purchased my Groupon awhile ago and it does not expire until January. I called up there to see if today would be a good day to redeem it (in case of a crowd, etc.). I was told that they no longer accept Groupons and that I would have to go through Groupon to get a refund. I asked if they would allow me to use the money that I paid towards a service, and I was given the same answer.. That they do not accept Groupons anymore and I will have to go to Groupon for a refund. THIS IS RIDICULOUS!!! Whether you are a public or private establishment, have had issues in the past, or whatever… you need to honor what you advertise or offer. Or arrange with the 3^rd party (Groupon) to reimbursement everyone who purchased a voucher. I should not have had to call up to the business to find this out. If I didn’t think to call up there, I would have wasted my gas to go across town, only to be turned away.
If I have ANY issues with getting my money back, I WILL be reporting them for false advertising… to the BBB or whomever I need to. Yes, it’s only $ 20, and it’s not about the money… it’s the principle. And I did not appreciate their matter of fact attitude.

Break time is the bomb! Daily drink specials, tons of pretty nice tables, darts, golden tee, and food (which I haven’t tried…) The place is clean, the music is loud, and there are a bunch of tvs to watch your favorite games. What more could you ask for in your local pool hall?
FYI– 1. Your favorite bartenders name is Matt! Seriously.
2. Be prepared to buy a $ 3 membership. BreakTime is a private place.
