Very interesting chain restaurant. Very appealing unique surrounding and décor and very comfortable. Warm feeling. The drinks are definitely not a chain menu. The signature cocktails are far from ordinary and the story behind the black diamond is awesome and needs to be heard first hand. The food and the service is the reason I can only give this establishment a 2. First the food, descent selection of entrees and small bites. I personally had the appetizer pimento cheese dip and did not think the tortilla chips that came with it made sense. It’s a cold scoop of pimento with brittle chips. It’s so cold and clumpy the chips break while trying to scoop unless you use a spoon and that take forever as well. I’ve tried several of the steak selections and they all rate about a 3. Prepared nicely but cooking time and temp is based off the chef that night and the quality is dependent on how busy they have been and wether than have had time to marinate or not. Salads are all very very good and soups usually taste fresh. Define you good salad and soup restaurant. The service is the tough one and why the rating is low. Don’t get me wrong there very friendly and personable. They can all carry a conversation and they never make you feel rushed but… Unfortunately there bad habits are easily seen. They gather in groups when there slow and chatter and gossip right in front of you. Continuously sneaking there cell phone out and looking at it and using it. Then touching our food plates, glasses and utensils. Watched several play with the hair and not wash hands . These aren’t all huge red flags but perception is everything. You can be nice and polite and then be unsanitary. I will come for the 9th time soon and see if it has changed based off shift, time of day etc.

I dined at Firebirds for an early lunch on a weekday. We were the first customers in the door right at 11:00. Immediately when you walk in it’s hard to ignore the awesome bar right in front of you. I definitely wouldn’t mind hanging out there for a few hours. We were greeted warmly by the hostess and promptly seated. Our server arrived immediately and was very professional and friendly. Firebirds is super classy. We honestly felt under-dressed, even for lunch. The entire restaurant is nicely decorated and very appealing. We ordered the ranch rings as an appetizer. They make a tower out of the ranch rings… I don’t get how it doesn’t fall over! The rings were crisp and had very good flavor. Panko breadcrumbs make for a much better onion ring. I had just a plain olé cheeseburger for $ 10.95…which is a tad on the pricey side for a burger. The burger was pretty good. meat was cooked nicely and to the appropriate temperature I asked for. The bun was a very nice quality… I think possibly a brioche bun. Toppings were good. Overall I enjoyed our experience at this restaurant. I don’t mind paying a little more money for a very memorable experience.

I ordered a hamburger medium and received an over well done burger on a bun that was solid toast. Service was awful — we were first of three groups to be seated and the last to be served. I suspect my burger spent 30 minutes under a heat lamp. Never going back.

I ordered carry out. The steak was not cooked as ordered. Instead of medium-well, it was medium-rare. They left out my sides. I ordered carry out specifically so I wouldn’t have to spend time at the restaurant and could go back to my hotel to relax. Instead I got an inedible meal for almost $ 40. The manager made this right. So impressed with the service and the new meal.

We waited 45 mins for our tablr, which was fine they were busy. Our waitress didn’t act interested. When they brought our food they laid 8t anywhere on the table, did not asked whose food was what. The prime r8b my mom ordered was blackened on the outside and raw on the inside. No one asked once the food got there if we needed anything, I went and got the waitress. Not im0ressed

Update: 180 degrees from last week. Absolutely awesome night and steak. Michael(Regional) called about our experience, listened and offered a gift card. I never expect one-sometimes just listening to the customer is enough but, he generously offered one. We went back tonight. Andrew, the Mgr, met us & just wanted to make sure he had the whole picture. He listened, we felt heard, just a wonderful man. We were seated with Nichole. She was absolutely great. Because of tonight’s experience, we’re booking a party and asked for her as our waitress. This was a great night. The food was spot on — the service — the people. Last week was obviously just an odd, one-time thing. I recommend this place!!!

Great food! Wonderful drinks! The wait staff that served us was superb! We had the filet and shrimp and it was to die for. It’s a tad pricey, which is why four stars instead of five. It’s also a bit loud in there. Hard to have a quiet conversation.

This place has great coconut shrimp! My husband loves the ribs and I loved my salmon. The staff is nice but sometimes feels rushed. I love the wine wall they have floor to ceiling! Afterwards it’s nice to stroll around the shops recently added too to relax.

This place should have four dollar signs! $$$$. We took our family of 5 and the cheapest thing on the menu was $ 12 burgers. Didn’t expect those kinds of prices. The burger didn’t taste like a $ 12 burger — had better at Five Guys, but it was still good. Everyone liked the food. The service was ok. The wine bottle walls are pretty cool. Would not recommend for kids. This was our first and only visit to Firebirds. Looks like a great place to take a date on a 10 year anniversary, but my wallet can’t put up with going weekly or monthly. Ouch! Giving lower rate for the high prices.

Get the sesame crusted salmon!($ 21) Yum ! Crispy on the outside and moist on the inside with spicy sauce to dip it in. It also came with mashed potatoes and fried spinach. The fried spinach reminded me of kale chips. Also I love the mango Mojito($ 10) here! Very minty with plenty of lime. A little pricy here but worth it to come celebrate an occasion^^

They had a nice bar and a great atmosphere in the restaurant. They also have outdoor seating. A great place for a date night or a well mannered group of friends. I would dress nicely and expect to have great service. The food was fantastic, my friends had steaks, while I enjoyed a chicken Caesar salad. They had great appetizers and everything was lovely.

I’ve been putting this review off for awhile and have finally gotten to it. I’ll say this first off I’ve been here a good amount of times and every single time it’s been consent and tasty. There most recent addition is the beautiful bar area with bottles being lined up based on color. My favorite appetizer is the lobster spinach queso dip. Trust me just try it because it is loaded with lobster meat and the flavors are blended well. I can’t speak for any other menu items, because I always get the same thing every-time. The Firebirds Chicken paste is the best pasta I’ve ever had. Loaded with chicken bacon, sliced tomato, cajun sauce and lots of other ingredients this dish adds a mild heat to a common dish. Service has always been good. This is honestly my favorite place to go to in Winston and I highly recommend it.

To me Firebirds is more of a 3.5, but I acknowledge that I am far from their target customer and I have no issues returning here on a somewhat frequent basis. Last week, we enjoyed quite the decadent meal here. We started with the onion rings, coconut shrimp, and a bottle of St. Suppery(I did mention it was decadent, didn’t I!). Both apps were absolutely delicious. I daresay that they were the tastiest renditions of those ubiquitous dishes that I recall tasting in recent memory. The onion rings were the triple threat of crispy, well-seasoned, and not greasy. I almost wish we didn’t end up ordering them because now I know how tasty they are and will be tempted to get them again in the future! The shrimp came with a delicious slaw which complemented the dish nicely. For lunch, I had the Firebirds salad with salmon, which I have had before and quite enjoy. The husband had the lunch trout with sweet potato(waffle!) fries, which he liked, just felt the coating on the fish was a titch on the soggy side. The disappointment at the table were the fish tacos my MIL ordered. She was not impressed and I can confirm, they were bland and uninspired. The sautéed veg side she got was also forgettable at best. Overall, I am impressed that a restaurant which caters to meat eaters can satisfy picky Pescatarians like myself. Other positives include the consistently pleasant service, patio, and wine list(½ price on Mondays). P. S. Before I went the way of the veg, the petite filet with a loaded baked potato from here was my go-to celebration of good times meal.

Great service! Good food. Coming off a long day, I opted for a martini and prime rib. The martini was everything. The prime rib was cooked perfectly. Pretty good… for a chain restaurant.

So we went here yesterday for dinner for the first time. The wife and two daughters. The bar gives a wonderful impression as you enter the restaurant. All the bottles color coordinated and nice wood and stone décor. The same beautiful décor runs throughout the restaurant. There is a great wall full of wine bottles that is pretty visually appealing. Prices seemed to be a little steep, our table really didn’t have lots of food and the bill was over $ 100. Daughter 1 had a fried chicken salad and iced tea. Daughter 2 had the chicken wing appetizer plate and a Coke. we had the aged ribeye and 12oz prime rib and 2 glasses of wine. The food was really pretty presented and the flavor of the prime rib was great. It came with a really good au jus. The ribeye was kind of disappointing. Over a third of it was fat! And I don’t mean the crunchy kind of fat around the edges but the big globs of white fat. My wife was really disappointed. I noticed they were a little high on their wine prices as well. one of the bottles that I have in my own personal cellar for the price of $ 36 was listed for $ 82. A touch on the high side. Overall I would say the experience was good, and I would return. I won’t put it on my favorite rotation though.

This place is upscale and it has a nice outdoor patio with an outdoor fireplace. Definitely a date night spot. The serving for the dinner portions are pretty big. Ordered the coconut shrimp on cole slaw and steak fries. It also came with a ceasar salad. Their salad was good with fresh lettuce and light sauce. Their coconut shrimp tasted very coconut-ty but a little overcooked. The shrimp were the medium sized butterflied shrimps and it came out really hot in temp. The streak fries that came with it was good and the coleslaw was lightly sauced also I wasn’t really amazed here but the food was good. The atmosphere definitely was really good here and the server and host were nice.

I met a customer for lunch at this restaurant. Professional and attentive wait staff. My burger was delicious — I had the bleu cheese burger and it was cooked as ordered and the bleu cheese was creamy and melted just right. There could have been a few more mushrooms, but that is just being picky. The only negative part of my experience was that our server appeared to have been cut from the floor and got a little pushy toward the end of our dining experience when she decided that we had been there long enough. She kept on walking close to our table and eventually sent another server over to say, «your server asked me to check to see if you were ready for me to get the check.» — which was pretty transparent. I compensate servers when I stay at a table a long time and tipped her 40% on the check — she did not even thank us. However, the food, atmosphere, and service all the way up to the end was strong enough to maintain 4 stars. Definitely come here, but just make sure that you don’t stay longer than an hour.
