Called in inquiring about purchasing a watch. I was put on hold for 10 minutes before the call was disconnected. Drove to the store to find there was only one customer and two reps. Was not greeted except for a simple«Hey» from one rep who took over for the other. Informed them that I had called in about the watch to see if it was available and how much it would be to purchase, and also let them know that I was hung up on. The rep did not take responsibility for the disconnection and simply stated the price. Agreed on price and was ready to buy it when I was told it was being held for a customer for 5 more days. Inquired as to whether the customer had purchased the item already and was told no they had not. Offered to purchase the watch and was told that management said that couldn’t sell it since it was on hold. Who turns down a sure sale, for a promise to purchase? Not impressed with customer service or the nature of the«sales» representatives in this location. Will definitely not return, and encourage others to consider their options when it comes to buying products from this retailer. This happened around 8:00PM3÷7÷16 so I’d encourage management to at least review this with the team so that another potential customer is not lost due to apathy.

I had a great experience with Simply Mac. I took my iPhone in to have its screen repaired. The technician(I think his name is Cyle) was super helpful and let me know exactly how much the repair would cost and how long the repair would take(3 – 5 business days). I expected to get it back by Tuesday as Monday as a holiday but was pleasantly surprised when they called Monday evening, giving me plenty of time to head to the mall and pick it up. The price was exactly what I had been quoted before and my phone is in excellent working condition; couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

I recently purchased a Mac Air from here but before doing so I had a lot of questions and everyone I talked to at the Winston Salem store was extremely helpful and went out of their way to help me make an informative choice of which Mac to purchase. I traded in a previous Mac and got what I believed was a fair price. I will continue to frequent this store.

I’ve been using Mac Authority(now Simply Mac) for 4 years since I started college in Winston-Salem. Every experience with this place has left me angry and frustrated. A few good employees, but most of them are terribly rude. Most recently, brought my 2011 Macbook Pro in for repair since Apple offered an extended coverage for«video issues». At first, they didn’t even know what I was talking about when I referred to the repair extension program, I had to have them google it. They took the computer and a few days later I got a phone call saying that the computer would in fact need a new logic board(which should be covered by Apple) but that it also had a swollen battery. I asked if I could have the logic board replaced under the extended program, and the man on the phone said my computer wasn’t covered in the extended warranty. «Isn’t it an early 2011 Macbook Pro?» I asked, «Yes, but this one isn’t eligible». Weird, I thought. I came in to get the computer a week later, after buying a new computer, because I wasn’t going to spend the $ 600+ to get the logic board replaced. I signed the release papers and grabbed my computer, and I noticed that the bottom of the case was suddenly bulging out. It wasn’t like that when I turned it in. I took the computer back to the front desk and pointed it out. The employee rubbed the case with a cloth, and handed the computer back to me, just staring at me blankly. I was flabbergasted. I didn’t even know how to reply to that, so I just left. I came home and checked the serial number with Apples website. Sure enough, the computer IS covered under the extended repair program. So frustrating, I’m never using Simply Mac again, I’m just going to take it into the Apple Store in Greensboro from here on out.
