I do all my local shopping here. The people are so nice, especially the meat counter. Yes, I have be careful with the produce I buy, but you can’t beat the prices for local shopping in Winterset.

Good prices and love that they match HyVee’s sale prices. Awesome meat counter! Produce is not the best. I use the WIC program and have had to argue with one particular checker over every item on my WIC voucher. She refused to let me buy lettuce with my fruit and vegetable voucher and also told me I could not get chocolate-flavored PediaSure when they were out of vanilla. As soon as I got home I called the WIC office and was told I was correct in both cases. Now if I see her I avoid her line at all costs. This same checker also forgot to put half my bagged groceries in the cart on one occasion and I got all the way home before realizing it. Sorry but this particular employee makes me strongly consider going to HyVee!
