Tokyo Hair and Nails

I recently moved from Winthrop, but for the 4 years I lived there this was my go-​to nail salon. Always had great service and if I called ahead for an appointment they got me in right away. Pedicures were very thorough and relaxing, and the majority of the time I got cnd shellac nails. They always looked great and there’s a large selection of colors to choose from. Definitely recommend!

I do not consistently get my nails done. I have never been a girl who pampered herself. So when I go to a salon I am pretty fussy. I usually just indulge in a pedicure in the summer months or if I vacation in the winter months. I have experienced several different salons from metro west to the north shore, depending on where I am working at the time. I must say that Tokyo Nails in Winthrop is by far the best I have ever been to. When I experience a different salon I always compare it to Tokyo. Lyn, who is the proprietor asked me my name the first time I came into the salon. I am amazed how she always greets me by name when I drop in for my pedi. She has this amazing ability to make you feel so welcomed when you walk in. I am never disappointed when I leave there. Today I just had a pedi in this pretentious salon in Danvers (only because I was given a gift certificate) I wish I went to Tokyo! I also must say I have never posted a review of any business but I feel compelled to relay this info.

I was very pleased with the service. The salon was neat and clean, and the owner did a fabulous job on both my mani and pedi. I will now be going regularly that I have found it. I also thought the price was extremely reasonable for both services.

Winthrop is full of nail salons. Unusual for such a small town! Tokyo is the best by far! They take their time and get the work done right. I don’t come out of there smudged, uneven, or with my nails wet. They truly want your nails done right! Other salons shuffle the customers in and out as fast as possible. Obviously more customers means more money. Here they give you time at the dryers and uv station to let your polish set and dry and they don’t rush the process. Does it take a bit longer? Yes, sometimes. Is it worth it? ALWAYS :) The affordable price is another reason to stop in. All in all a great place to have your nails done when perfection matters.
