If you’re in the Dells area and love wine, this place is DEFINITELY worth the visit. Is about 10 miles out from main attractions but the drive felt very quick and was easy. The inside is small, but absolutely gorgeous. The people are very very friendly and knowledgeable. I went on a Wed afternoon in June, so wasn’t too busy and I didn’t have a wait. The sampling was fun, they provide a list of all the wines and give a little sample of each one. Overall I believe there 13 wines and 4 wine Slushies to sample. I tried each one! All free. They also offer a menu where you can purchase a glass for about 6 or a bottle for about 13 to take outside to their beautiful deck. Would absolutely do again.

Complimentary wine tasting… and you get to try quite a bit of wine. The staff was very friendly. The fruit wines were quite tasty! Their grapes and fruit primarily come from California. Wines are reasonably priced. They have a very nice deck.

Stopped at the winery after a weekend at Chula Vista with family and friends. It was a little hard to find, and easy to miss if you weren’t looking for the sign. However, once there, we had a great experience. Their small store has lots of goodies that were hard to resist buying. They had dip samples that were very tasty set up in the cooler room area. They offer free wine tasting, and you get to taste each wine they have in stock, which for us was about 12, plus the wine slushies. It’s a very small sampling of each wine, but enough to know if you enjoy that wine or not. The person offering our wine sampling(Dan I believe?) was very knowledge about the wine and very personable in general. The winery also offers a small food menu and outdoor seating. Their outdoor seating can be covered, so it’s still toasty when it’s cold outside. Patrons are free to explore the grounds and view where they grow the grapes and view where they make the wine. In summer, they offer free concerts outdoors as well. You can buy a bottle of wine there and enjoy it outside listening to music! They are open year round and recently partnered up with the Dells trolleys and other local wineries. For $ 55, you are taken to 3 wineries and a distillery for lunch. Definitely checking that out next time! The Dells coupon books do have a coupon for the winery, and if you stay at Chula Vista, or visit the water-park, your water-park wristband has a coupon on it as well.

Take the short drive and visit this winery. The ambience is very serine and the staff are extremely friendly. The gift shop is a bit overpriced for the items they sell from other places I have been, but they offer a great selection. Their wine has a unique taste and some of the flavored wines will surprise you so give them a try. Also make sure to give the slushes a shot! Will come back here again when in the dells.

I’m all about free wine samples which they offer here at Fawn Creek Winery, but I was pretty unenthused by everything else there. Let me start by explaining the positive part of my experience there: the free wine samples of course, the secluded area with descent scenery and that’s about it. Of course the main attraction for my fiancé and me was the free wine sampling in which we were able to taste — test about 12 of their wines and 4 of their wine slushies. I’m sorry, but those wine slushies were disgusting; if I want wine then I’ll drink wine, but if I want a slushies I’ll go get a blue raspberry one from an Icee machine. The wines were descent, some much better than others. They had a mixture of wines, ranging from dry to sweet to extremely, over-the-top sweet. My favorite was the semi-sweet riesling which is actually a new one for them, as is the moscato. I’m a huge connossieur of moscato, but this moscato was sooooooooo sweet that it tasted like candy. I have a sweet tooth, but damn, it was too much. They had some fruity wines as well which were good, but again they were way, way too sweet. Other than the actual wine, the venue for taste — testing seemed odd. And the other thing that I really wasn’t fond of was that they don’t make most of their wine there because their vineyard is so small. It seemed like the wine was a bit inauthentic. I can’t say I’m a fan.

This is a very nice spot, with the tastings out back on the deck and a pretty view to top it off! The owner was actually offering a tasting right as we walked in, so it was perfect timing. He offered a large variety of tasty wines, including a few slushie wines, which were interesting and really good(perfect way to cool off with a sweet drink in the summer!) I really enjoyed how friendly the owner was and all the information he gave everyone regarding each of the wines, and the building too! We bought a couple bottles of wine and l am looking forward to returning there again!

One of the worst experiences I’ve had at a winery. It was as if I was an inconvenience to them because I asked to do a tasting. I can’t quite remember the name of our server, Kristin maybe? She never had a smile on her face, seemed as if she hated her job, and we were bothering her for being there. The wine was okay. Some of them I got a headache from just putting my nose in the glass. They smelled and tasted like a melted jolly rancher. I did enjoy the fact that you can taste all their wines complimentary, and the location was very beautiful. Overall it was not a great experience, but I did buy one of their wines, summer sun or something? I most likely would never go back there.

Great. No other words needed. Free tastings(13 wines and 5 wine slushies), live music and good appetizer menu. Came here with 12 adults and the little ones. Staff was welcoming and inviting so we came back the next day. Bottles of wine were priced fairly. Great deck to spend the afternoon on. Highly recommend.

Excellent service. Reasonably priced wine. Took my mom there for her birthday and they gave her a crown. We bought a case of wine and got two free wine carrying bags and four free logo wine glasses. Will definitely go back!

This is the best place around to relax, have a drink, listen to some music, and enjoy yourself. Crisp delicious wines enjoyed with a delightful micro menu make this just the right spot to sit and chill out for an afternoon. It’s casual, and comfortable, and heck, after sampling 12 or so wines who wouldn’t want to sit on the spacious deck and chow down on a ginormous big buckin pretzel??? There is a wonderful gift shop featuring sauces, glasses, dips, soaps, clothes, jewelry, and lots and lots of WINE!!!

We visited Fawn Creek on February 23, 2015. We had a great time with Melissa. The owner even came out and chatted with us. We visited other wineries that day, this one was by far the friendliest… great experience! Can’t wait to go back!

You’re guaranteed tipsy fun at Fawn. Checking out attractions other than duck touring and beer drinking in the Dells and came across this winery on Unilocal. At first I scoffed. Good wine in the Dells? Ha. I decided to take a chance at FCW. Upon parking(free, btw), you immediately can tell it’s mega adorable. Looks like someone’s country house dedicated to wine. Lots of grassy areas and trees, so you won’t get claustro. Inside, there’s a store and outside, a huge deck for drankin’ and music listenin’. We put our names for free tastings(yes, free!) and wait about 40 min before we’re called. FYI, expect a wait on the weekends. The lady doing the tastings was not only knowledgable but engaging and hilarious. She involved us and another group doing the tasting with us. Pours were small but you literally taste like 14 wines in addition to spiked slushies they call Bitch Bags. My kinda bag! They don’t wanna have to call 911 to wheel you outta there, so I understand why it’s only 2 sip pours. Prices are insanely cheap and practically begging you to buy a bottle. We get bottle of their Pinot Noir which was great, especially for $ 12! You can pop your bottle on their deck or order by the glass, eat grub and listen to music as they have free jams daily. It was almost closing time, so we took our party to go. Anyone visiting the Dells should definitely take the 10 min drive north of downtown and visit! I know what I’m doing next time I’m in the dells.

I went here with 2 dear friends that I rarely see and it was fantastic. I was a little unsure about our gal that was giving us the samples I could not tell if she was annoyed by us, if she just had a bad attitude or what but then she would make jokes so it was a strange experience but when you are drinking wine with friends who cares!!! After the wine tasting we went out on their beautiful deck and enjoyed a glass out there while a one guy band played some good music. It was the perfect place to go to have a glass and catch up with old friends or for a peaceful date with the one you love!!!

Adorable and cozy winery. Offer free tasting of every wine they make… so a lot! Really nice and knowledgeable staff. Cute gift shop. They even made a gift basket for what exactly we were looking for from scratch at a reasonable cost. Definitely will go back in summer!

This place is a must if you’re in the area! They offer an assortment of wines, both red and white. The tasting is FREE! You are able to sample approximately 10 wines. The staff is great the shop inside has great gift ideas for that wino in your life :) If you’re here on the weekends during the summer, they have a live band playing you can bring a picnic basket and just hang out listening to music. Romance is in the air I can smell it already… Oh, and the staff here are very knowledgeable and friendly!

I have nothing but wonderful things to say about the fine people at Fawn Creek Winery! Jim gave us our tasting, had a great many interesting things to say about their operation and the grapes that they are now growing(and plan to grow). They have a wide selection of gifts for sale as well as crackers, cheese, sausage and chocolates. Then, there is their patio, where they happened to have live music going and you can purchase cold beverages to enjoy with options from a limited menu at a table outside and enjoy the afternoon. We became members of their Case Club — we’ll be back for more!

Family owned and operated vineyard since 2011(at least officially). The wine tasting is great, they give you a sample of everything they sell. Ended up leaving with 5 bottles and took a walk through their young vineyard. Live music on the weekends. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Would definitely come back next time we’re on the area.
