The Diner

Food was good. We had the fried catfish & fried green tomato sandwich. Service was great. Very cute, clean place.

Breakfast was very good. I had sausage, bacon, toast, eggs, and potatoes. All was tasty. I smelled the cinnamon rolls and couldn’t help take one to go. When I got the chance to eat that it was very yum. I also had a fruit cup that I took with me and enjoyed that too. The staff was very friendly and welcoming.

Very nice clean spot. Friendly staff! Will definitely go back when I’m in Wise. Only reason we didn’t give a 5 is because we wanted waffles and the maker was broken.

This place has potential… But not quite there yet. We went for breakfast. Small breakfast menu. Place was nearly empty but somehow service was sort of slow and food was semi cold. Over easy eggs were hard cooked; biscuits and gravy were cold. The bacon was excellent. French toast seemed ok (I’m not a big fan of it in general). Even the breakfast sandwich somehow was not hot.

After many years of just sitting and slowly deteriorating The Inn at Wise has finally been restored and is open for business. We recently visited the smaller diner part of the Inn for a sandwich and were sorely disappointed.
There are two sections to this, the main dinning room which is upper casual dress and the smaller section which is walkin. The food was average at best and high priced for this area (which was expected). The service however was horrible for the expectations we had. Our orders were wrong, and there were four waitresses standing around talking while we had to flag down a waitress that was not our own for refills on drinks. The one we flagged was very helpful and nice but for a diner of this price and stature the poor service was inexcusable.
The poor service coupled with mediocre food was a shame, I only hope that this was just a fluke in getting started and they smooth everything out soon. Our area needs a nice business like this should be and hopefully it will be able to open the door for many more. Sadly at this time I cannot give it a higher recommendation.

The diner at the Inn at wise is a great place to get good food. I had the chicken tenders and they were excellent. The waitress was doing a great job also .when they made the tenders the breaded them right then. All of their food is fresh.
