Awful when me and my friend sat ourselves because there was no one working hostess both, we were greeted with a rude waitress who asked not what we where having but if we were eating or not. When my friend said no and I said I’m not sure yet she looked at me and said yes or no? Then she threw the menu down in front of me and walked away. Needless to say we got up and left. And I personally handed the menu back to her and she rolled her eyes! I came safely say I will never ever ever be back regardless of how the food is not that I would know…

Worst food ever! Placed smelled like a dirty mop, should have walked right out. Got food poisoning from this place! Who ever would give this place more than one star is beyond me. Place is a joke, amazing how there still on business!

Tried the Tanner Tavern for the first time Friday night. The bar tender only seemed to care about the regulars and flirted with a few middle aged men while she was supposed to be getting my beer. The food was decent but pricy, and I liked the set up. Overall not a bad place, but not a great experience because of the bartender.

Didn’t quite know what to expect when we walked in, it was really dark and only one bartender and no servers on with a full bar on a Friday afternoon. Service was a little slow at first, understandable given how the bar was full. Once the bartender came over, he was really friendly. I had a SW Chicken Sandwich. A little overcooked but still very good. All of the other dishes coming out looked good as well. I will be back.

Great pub food. I love their appetizers, especially the nachos. The potato skins and the calamari is also quite good. Definitely worth checking out.

I really wanted to love Tanner Tavern but I left feeling down after my visit. I went up to the empty bar, took my jacket off and sat down. The bartender came around, never greeted me or said hi but just asked me what I wanted to drink. After receiving my beer, she then promptly stated«That will be $ 6.50». I had to request that she leave the bar tab open as I was meeting a friend and we would be eating. When other customers started showing up, I realized that I was getting this cold shoulder treatment because I wasn’t a regular. The bartender was nice to everyone else who arrived and didn’t ask them to close out their tab immediately, I also noticed that she said hello to each and every single one of them. Once my friend showed up, we order an appetizer and a pizza to share. The food was OK but nothing special, maybe we just didn’t order the right things? The bartender never checked in on us on how the food was, also when she dropped the check off at the end she never said a word to us. What I do like about Tanner Tavern is that they have a great layout of their restaurant and bar. There is ample space at the bar, they do not squish in a ridiculous amount of bar stools. Their space is very open and has a nice vibe to it, there also is another side of the restaurant which is more of a lounge area for music and poker playing. I also thought the women’s bathroom was very nice and clean, which is weird I know but when you go to a lot of bars/taverns the bathrooms are normally gross and small. The waitresses and the front desk staff(who interchanged) were super nice and friendly, it was just the women bartender who was very cold. It was apparent that she had regulars that she liked and if you were not one of them you would get bad service.

Gave this another shot. But it still hasn’t gotten any better food-wise. The wings came out cold and soggy. Eventually the waitress came back and when we told her we didn’t want them because they were not good and Also came out cold, she took them but came back a few minutes later with a steaming plate — I think they may have been microwaved. We sent them back again, but they still ended up on the bill. Nice. Maybe if you just want to stop in for a beer. And if you like bud light, otherwise, not a great selection.

Once I ordered burger sliders. The«sliders» were literally one burger cut up in fours, so it looked like a little triangle of meat on a little bun.

I honestly wouldn’t recommend this place at all. Probably one of the worst taverns I ever been too. We order a pizza and waited over 30 minutes for that and it wasn’t even that great. Our server was a nice girl, but the wait time is just terrible for food, and it was not even worth the wait. The location is not the greatest and the place itself. I wouldn’t want to come back and bring my friends.

Just moved to Woburn. Tanner was one of the first places I visited. It was a Monday night and relatively slow. Wasn’t expecting much but have to say the burger was great, sweet potato fries were awesome and the waitress, Deidre, was personable and pretty damn welcoming to this new guy. Definitely going back… actually.. did tonight anyway and again.. very good!

Have been here 4 or 5 times now. Burgers are good. Steak tips good. Bartenders friendly. Disappointed in chicken wings though they seemed to be Tyson’s or something premade from freezer. Would also like to see more interesting variety in draft IPAs.

Although the dance club music running through the ceiling speakers is WAAAAAAAYTOOLOUD for a pub, especially one without a dance club, the food and overall pub atmosphere is just what you need if your night is aimed towards a good beer selection and a simple but well served selection of apps. Buffalo tenders were very lightly coated and cooked perfectly. The lack of a thick bread coating(like the 99) was a welcome surprise since I do like seeing what I’m eating. The hand formed sliders, although simple were cooked perfectly, and served with home-style onion rings. Again, very little batter coating. Good stuff — we’ll definitely be back.

Hearty portions of 99-esque fare, dumbed down and dirtied up, but enjoyable nonetheless. It’s a blank tavern, oddly dismal even with the chipper host/server at the door and a handful of TVs behind the bar. It’s so nondescript, I could probably ask a kid who’s never been inside a pub to draw what they think it’d look like, and whaddya know? Spot on. There’s a part of me(a big part) that wishes I’d ordered seafood instead of my BBQ turkey tips. I don’t know why, the options just sounded more appealing. But the gobble echoed true; the turkey who lost won eventually. And for a $ 12 plate, it was sweet and meaty and tasted just fine. The side of zucchini(or choose your own daily vegetable) is tender and well-seasoned. Not that anybody is accusing Woburn Center of hiding away culinary gems from the hungry masses, but should I ever pass through amidst a fear stomach grumblin’, I wouldn’t not stop by Tanner Tavern again. Take that as you will.

Decent place to grab a few beers, watch a game, the food is okay, the atmosphere is generic but pleasant, but the key is to go Thursdays, between 5PM and 9PM. Why? $ 1 Oysters. That’s right, $ 1 oysters. How can you say no to $ 1 oysters?

My friend and I had been looking for somewhere new to try, and we were roaming around downtown Woburn, and this caught our eye(s). It looked very promising from the outside, and a quick glance inside showed it to have a nice set up, and not be very busy. We were seated right away, and our waitress recited a huge list of beers on tap. Really great selection! We were also informed that pizzas are half price on Fridays from 4 – 8. Excellent! We asked about the sizing and since it sounded like a small pizza we decided to try two flavors: potato artichoke onion(wow!) and hamburger onion. Don’t be fooled– the food is plentiful. I didn’t find it small at all, and we ended up halving our pizzas to take home to eat later. My pizza was the potato artichoke onion and it was awesome. So delicious! It’s sauceless and really tasted like a cheesy potato dish. My friend got the hamburger onion and it was pretty good. I found it a bit greasy, but I may have been spoiled since mine was so good. The prices on everything were great. We spent around $ 23. On Saturdays, their promotion is half priced hamburgers. We may try to make a special trip to try that out one of these Saturdays!
