Cappi Painting and Decorating

Experts to the core. We have rounded corners and every edge is perfect. The crew fixed cracks in drywall, and repaired holes prior to painting the entire first floor, second floor hall, and ceilings.
Excellent advice about colors, an accent wall, and how to make it all look pulled together. The crew was on time every morning, laying drop cloths to protect the carpet & railing, then throroughly cleaned every night before leaving.
We were impressed with the overall professionalism from quote to completion. John Cappi followed up on his crew and made sure that we were satisfied.

After listening to the owner praise his work and balking at the high price quoted for a small job, on the recommendation of a trusted friend we hired John Cappi and crew to paint our living room ceiling. At first glance the job was good enough but after it dried we noticed how «wiggly» the line between ceiling and walls were. Paint from the ceiling had been brought down onto the wall color on all four walls and repaired nail pops were not sanded down smoothly so the paint lines in the room are crooked. I aksed the crew to remedy this while they were here and they did remedy the problem on one wall but left the other three as is. I asked John to come and take a look and he made excuses, staying the line was not straight to begin with (it WAS before they went in and repaired the nail pops) and that this was «typical» of any paint job. He offered to put up blue tape and paint a line, but the issue is the nail pops were not sanded down correctly. I refused that band-​aid offer as I am certain my husband and I can do a much better job, as evidenced by all the rest of the painting in the house. John then began to tell me that I was «wrong», that the lines were never straight to begin with etc. I would NOT hire this company again. The true measure of a good contractor is how they deal with problems and accusing the customer and making excuses only shows the lack of integrity in the business. If the work cannot speak for itself then move away, quickly!
