I had one of their Mexican salads which had bacon, chicken, avocado, raw onion and some other stuff. I actually enjoyed it a lot! It was very good. Will be returning!

This place isn’t fancy but the quality of the food is excellent. The quesadilla Los Alamos and the Especial Alambre are two of my favorite dishes but I’ve never had anything that I didn’t like. This place is easily my favorite Mexican food place in the St. Louis/Metro East area.

This place has the best traditional Mexican tacos I’ve ever tasted. They used to be very cheap too, when they first opened. They had to raise their prices a bit to stay open but I still consider it worth the trip. I travel hours just to get real Mexican tacos with traditional corn tortillas and Carne Asada beef with onions and cilantro diced to a fine perfection, and this place has it. Squeeze the lime onto the tacos and spoon a little of their green salsa onto each taco, then dip it into their red salsa. You will have an unforgettable experience. My only complaint is that you have to eat the tacos after you’re done with the chips, because while the salsa is delicious and the chips are crunchy, they will pale in comparison to your taco meal. The drink specials make the trip worth it but don’t expect the margaritas to be the same sugary concoctions you’re used to drinking in American bars! The margaritas are cheap, tart and salty, which is just how I like them. I have to admit that the tacos are the only thing I ever eat here, so I don’t know about most the other dishes. My girlfriend recommends the fried ice cream though, and the banana plantain dessert was similarly delicious!

We love this place and try to make it there at least once a week. The margarita specials on the weekends make it well worth the trip. Definitely splurge for the guac and cheese dip! Alamos dip is cheap and delicious. We love the staff, too! :) They make regulars and newbies alike always feel welcome.

Do not and I repeat, do not eat here. The chips and salsa were bad, the margaritas nasty, the Los Alamos dip tasted sour, and the chicken wings tasted old, had freezer burn and I even found feathers on two of the wings. Felt bad for several hours after I got home. Finally at 11 pm threw up and now the diarrhea has started. This place is bad news.
