First time there last night and I have to say this one is of the best Generals Chicken I’ve ever had. The food was freshly prepared, the chicken was tender and the sauce was to die for. The price was very reasonable. I would have given a 5 star but the Lo Mein that I order did not come with the fried noodles.

This place is shabby and their full bar must be the real source of their income. I get the impression the place is a «meat market» on weekends… complete with live bands and/or karaōke. The restaurant itself has only booths(the tables of which are too low) and a small counter area. The TV in the restaurant is usually blasting some Mexican soap opera or a game show. The menu is extremely limited for a Chinese restaurant and most of the food is adequate. What makes this place for me is their egg rolls. They are HUGE, crispy, and stuffed with meat and veggies. I call them Chinese burritos. I’ve only seen this kind of egg roll in one other Chinese restaurant and that was in Lincoln City. The wait staff is friendly but it’s a bit disorienting(no pun intended) to hear Spanish being spoken in the kitchen instead of Chinese in a Chinese restaurant. I wonder if they’ve ever given any thought to serving Chinese/Mexican fusion food?

I tried to give this place a chance since a few of the recent reviews stated that their food got better. I can’t help the fact that I’m a foodie, so naturally growing up I’ve had real Chinese food so I know what the standards are…& sorry to say, this was below par. The sweet & sour shrimp were just deep fried shrimp with clunky batter topped with a generic sweet & sour sauce. That is not what that should taste like if it were authentic. The egg roll had way too much celery in it, & it overpowered the taste of the entire egg roll. Basically, it’s super Americanized trying hard wannabe Chinese food. The tea smelled funny too, so I refused to drink it. Will never come back ever again. If you’re looking for good authentic Chinese food, do NOT go here. I didn’t even finish my food. If you really want to settle, go to Panda Express instead.

Not bad at all, and I’m pretty rough on bad Chinese food. The menu has all the usual breaded and fried suspects, but if you avoid those you’ll get some decent Chinese food

Great service and some of the best Chinese food I have had In a while! Was very reasonably priced for the quality/quantity of food.

Under new ownership now and the food is actually pretty good. There is usually great service just because it’s always pretty empty. There’s a cool retro bar/club in the back that caters to the Latino population in the evenings with live music and stiff drinks. I go there pretty often and like it just fine for what it’s worth.

Have not been there for years. Used to be rife with Mexicans, drugs, greasy krapp food, and other Woodburn problems.
