King’s Cupboard

It’s a shame that more people don’t know about this little store, because there is nothing else like it in this food wasteland that is the Woodburn/​Hubbard/​Canby area. They carry a wide variety of whole food pantry staples (no produce or meats), most of which are available organic. Many things are available in bulk quantities and their prices are reasonable. Whole Foods and New Seasons have nothing on their selection of grains, legumes, nuts, dried fruits, and sweeteners. They also carry a good selection of healthy oils, canning supplies, baking supplies, raw organic cocoa powder, some essential oils and soapmaking supplies, kitchen items, juices, teas and natural sodas, and a lot of other misc things for the whole foods crowd. There never seems to be much of anyone in there –I hope they will be able to stay in business in an area where people are conditioned to buying really awful food at Safeway and Walmart.
