This has become our«go-to» spot. I love their food. I have tried pretty much everything since we go there go much. From everything I mean the lollipop chicken, angel hair sushi roll, spicy edamame, teriyaki chicken, pyramid desert and many other appetizers and entrees i cant think of from top of my head. Place is beautifully decorated and the servers are nice. Food comes out in a timely manner. The suggestion I would make would be only to desert menu. The desert looks great but for the price is very mediocre tasting.

Moca is a high quality restaurant w full bar in woodbury. I come here often for bday lunches w co workers and also get take out frequently. Moca has a beautiful décor, I love the cherry blossom tree and the whole lay out is fancy. They have a large selection of sushi and delicious entrees. I’ve had the Mangolian chicken, general tso, Korean ribs, shrimp tempura, sweet potato rolls, Thai n miso soup. They also have the Chinese soda w the marble on top. They have a larger selection for dinner so I plan to tackle that part of the menu soon :-p #yelpislife

Mocha is a asian fusion restaurant woodbury. I am a non sushi eater, so my focus is on their cooked products. I have had their shrimp tempura on more than one occasion. It always satisfies. I had a lunch special on this occasion that combined their rock shrimp, shrimp tempura with short ribs. The meal was decent but for some reason my cooked foods arrived long before my friends sushi/sashimi lunch. On this occasion, the manager took our order instead of the waiters. In the end, my food was cold as I politely waited as she starved. So she ate my rock shrimp. When the manager realized a mistake was made we wrapped her food to go. As a concession the manager gave us a $ 10 discount which really made little difference. It was a bad lunch. I admittedly had a few good meals from Mocha, however this may be the last. Since replacing Nissen, there seems to be a clear and present downward spiral. After all, there are a few other local options.

Had a pretty bad experience here for lunch. They brought out my friends meal and never brought out mine I waited about 15 – 20 minutes to tell them I never got my food and the man who I believed was the manager apologized and I told him to just wrap my food to go I just lost interests after that. The food is good here don’t get me wrong not amazing but good, and the manager did take money off the bill which was $ 10, but the service here wasn’t that great.

A very strong Asian fusion food spot in Woodbury that while located in a strip mall, is surprising in both the size of the seating areas and the décor that leaves you with the impression you’re in a stand-alone restaurant. We came one evening with a couple of friends and their small child. I wasn’t at all offended that they stuck us in the«family» section of the restaurant. In fact, our very young eater was in excellent form as were the other children during our stay. I imagine that had we come as only couples sans kids, we might have enjoyed a better table near the very chic bar located up front or off to another section. Drink orders came quickly and of course, they were smart to bring our young eater his meal first to keep him occupied. Our food arrived promptly afterward and everything was very good. Not overly priced for the north shore of LI, it will definitely become part of the rotation of fine restaurants we enjoy close to home.

Rarely give a one star review. Would give a minus star review if I could. Showed up right they opened. The silverware was dirty, the plates were chipped and had food residue on them. Plenty of people working when we came but service was painfully slow. Water service did not exist. The food was bland and nothing special. I don’t see this restaurant lasting very long if my experience is not unique. I would go else where for food.

The sushi, Peking duck, spare ribs, were very good! The duck fried rice and Lo Mein were so so. The service was not that great. Very noisy !! The restaurant apparently caters to large groups? Not impressed. Management needs to step up their game. PS a gum chewing hostess is not professional.

Do not go here. Waste of time, money. While I was in a date with my wife, I heard workers scream and fighting in the back apparently throwing things at each other and walls and floor — we actually got scared. Food isn’t terrible but as Asian food goes, it is way over priced although we knew that about this place. Would never go back

Big Parties Beware!!! The food at this restaurant was good and the service was fine; nothing special. The big surprise came at the end. Despite their own menu claiming to charge 20% for parties of 6 or more, we were charged 24%. Rather than screw over our waitress we paid that amount but addressed the issue with the manager at the front of the house. She fully admitted that she was the one who upped the service charge to 24% and claimed that it’s within her discretion to charge whatever she wants to her customers. We reminded her of what her menu stated and she could have cared less. She just lost 9 customers over 4% and a bad attitude. Update: promptly after posting my review I was contacted by management. They apologized for our treatment and offered $ 100 credit and asked that this review be updated. Unfortunately when we contacted them for the credit they told us another member in our party who also complained already received the credit and updated there review. Unfortunately due to the short sighted business decision(of not honoring the $ 100 credit which would have been good will) I am writing to update my disappointment in managements poor decision making played out a second time. Needless to say over $ 100 bad impression I will not be back to this business. Plenty of dining options in the Woodbury/Syosset area so I urge people to go elsewhere where your money will be appreciated.

Overpriced. Mediocre food. Disinterested management. My experience at Moca, in the space formally occupied by Nisen, consisted of very few positives. Our waiter was very nice and did a great job. The restaurant is spacious, trendy, and has very comfortable chairs. The salad with ginger dressing had good flavor and, really, none of the food was that bad. Overall, though, this place was disappointing. The prices were exorbitant relative to the quality of the food and the portion sizes. The sushi was particularly overpriced and the quality of the fish tasted extremely average(the tuna was below that standard). The other sushi restaurants in the area(e.g., Kashi, Sawa, Kumo) have just as high quality fish, if not higher, at more affordable prices. Also, the mango chicken dish I tasted was no better than a Chinese take-out option for a fraction of the price. During this one particular occasion, the duck dish appeared small as well(the person eating it had the same dish there a week prior). The manager ended up coming over and was notified. He went to the kitchen to «check» with the chef and ended up not returning to our table the rest of the night. He didn’t mind chatting it up with another table beside us, though. If there’s nothing you can do, the polite course of action is to at least return to deliver that news. My family literally lives 2 minutes away from Moca and were hoping this would be their regular modern Asian restaurant to frequent on their own and with friends – I guess they will keep looking. I’m not a big fan of Toku in Manhasset, but it is probably a better option than Moca(although my recent experiences at Toku have been pretty bad as well).

Ate here for lunch with some co-workers today. The interior is decorated very nicely and looks a lot more upscale then I was expecting. The food is pretty average, nothing to write home about. I had the sesame chicken which I thought lacked flavor, but the chicken was done well and had some nice crispness to it without being too doughy. For around $ 12 you get a bowl of soup with the lunch specials and green tea is included at no charge. Not a bad spot for lunch and the service was fairly good as well. Food came out quickly and we didn’t have to wait long to get our checks.

Came here for lunch with coworkers to treat the new staff. As soon as we came in we were immediately greeted and seated. I noticed the place wasn’t crowded which was great for us because the service is usually slow here. Gotta say this venue is fancy and has a beautiful ambience to it. Great spot to go on a date! Anyway, since the firm was treating, I ordered the Kitchen bento box which included miso soup, short ribs, chicken teriyaki, shrimp shumai, vegetables and brown rice. When my dish came out I was impressed by the presentation, beautifully organized. Check out my picture I posted! Overall great experience, service was dependable and the food was just right. A bit pricey to come here every week but I would definitely go back. Btw I highly recommend the brown rice, very unique.

My family and I went to MoCA for Christmas dinner. We made a reservation and arrived early, so we waited for our table at the bar. I tried to order a few mixed drinks off their cocktail menu for everyone, but right off the bat I spent over 5 minutes standing at the bar without the bartenders so much as look me in the eye. Once I ordered the four drinks, it took over 10 minutes to make three of them, during which time the bartenders were constantly interrupted by making drinks for other patrons. I finally asked one what happened to the last one, and they had forgotten entirely. It took close to five minutes to make that one drink. I was very disappointed by the inefficiency and seeming carelessness of these bartenders. After we were seated, an appetizer was brought to our table by mistake, a bass rather than a cod. We did not suspect, and ate the dish before it was brought to our attention. When the bill arrived, the restaurant tried to charge us for the mistaken dish — another discourteous move. Fortunately, our waitress was excellent and very nice. The food was otherwise good-tasting and well-presented. However, the very poor service at the bar and the punishment of the customer for a serving mistake, leave me with a bad impression of this restaurant.

Everything I ate here was phenomenal. Absolutely no complaints. The service is friendly and quick. The restaurant is clean and pretty. The food is so fresh and worth the price. Try the sushi pizza, it’s surprisingly amazing. The lycée martinis are addicting, it’s easy to have three by the end of the night. The Thai crab cakes was my fave. Also, fried Oreos are a must for dessert. You can pretty much pick anything on the menu and can’t go wrong. This is a great sushi spot to bring a group of friends. Will be back for more! There’s a back room for a private group dinner. They have karaōke! So much fun.

Yeah! Amazing! My girlfriend and I came by recommendation of a friend. I have never in my life had service as fantastic as this ever! Our servers name was Tayla. From the moment we were seated she greeted us in a way that didn’t make us feel like customers. She made us feel like friends at a dinner event she was hosting. The food suggestions we were offered were incredible and we didn’t ever feel like we had to look for our server because she was always available when needed. Our busboy was on top of making sure that the dirty plates were constantly replaced with new ones and that our water glasses remained full. The atmosphere was perfect. There was live music. A table for 2 was nice and large. You can bet that I will be returning to this restaurant very soon. This restaurant is a bit pricey but worth every penny. Great food! Better service! Beautiful atmosphere!

I tried the lunch special menu today. The wanton soup is a more western interpretation of this dish but it was pretty tasty. The main course was a Thai chicken and rice dish which was delicious! The service was very good. The décor of the restaurant was nice. All in all, highly recommend!

What a great looking restaurant! Woodbury always surprises me, from the outside I thought Moca Asian Bistro would be a typical small Asian/fusion style restaurant. Inside, I see high ceilings and beautiful appointments. And the bar! I swear, the bar as well as this place, If I closed my eyes I’d swear I thought it would be in NYC. I also noticed a large party room in the back with a sliding door for privacy? That was packed on a Monday night? Very very nice. I’ve said this before, those all you can eat Chinese food restaurants in Long Island are all but gone. Long Islanders want Asian Bistro, Asian Fusion a more healthier version of our beloved American/Chinese food. Welcome to Moca Asian Bistro (And what’s with the Moca? Is it like chicken skin colored Moca? haha) My brother law & I ordered an amazing crab roll starter. Nice flavors, I’m impressed. I want Noodles for dinner. Oodles of noodles for me please! I see Pad Thai, Udon Noodles, Korean clear noodles, lots noodle choices. I ordered the Seafood Noodle bowl which had shrimp, scallops, whitefish and I think Calamari. My bowl comes out and its very very… safe. All the fish were cleaned, I’m sure the noodles weren’t hand pulled out back. I had to ask for Sriracha, It was a nice bowl of noodles but I needed some kick. And the price! My bowl was normally priced, on average $ 15. You can eat here for a family of four without alcohol for under $ 100.(I had a Sapporo) Moca Asian Bistro is a nice place to bring your large family or first date. I was impressed with the décor, I think you will as well
