Friendly owners and staff. Cute tasting room. White and rosé wines are nice, but the reds just weren’t to my taste. If you’re a Seahawks fan, you’ll love their 12th Blend!

This winery is so cool. The folks that work here are so nice and the owners are so sweet. I love the space and most of their wine. I only had 6 tastings. You can sign up to volunteer to bottle wine in exchange for wine too. How cool is that? I signed up and can’t wait to come back to trade my time for some wine!

Eye of the Needle is a wonderful family owned local winery. The owners Lauren & Bob are so friendly and outgoing, ready to share information about the business and their community service. The venue was perfect size for the Unilocal Elite event that I attended here. I love that they create blends and make their own wine every-other year. The 12th Blends — which I have seen in the store — are a philanthropic effort by the winery to support Northwest Harvest. Each bottle purchased result in a meal donated to feed local folks with food insecurity. It’s a wonderful endeavor that yielded over 100,000 meals donated last year. The wine is fantastic and I came home with 3 bottles to enjoy at Thanksgiving.

Eye of the Needle is one of my fave Woodinville wineries. They’re always super friendly… sometimes a little buzzed(because wine). Their wines are delicious, a good mix of whites and reds to sample, and completely affordable. The Eye(their red blend) and Sangiovese are my faves. And if you join the wine club, you get to call yourself a Private Eye! Plus get complimentary tastings and other perks.

A lot of the reviews for Eye of the Needle Winery specify that the tasting is free. However, their tasting notes say that a tasting costs $ 5. We bought a bottle of wine though and we weren’t charged a tasting fee, so I’m not sure if the tasting is actually free or not. Proceed at your own risk. At any rate, my girlfriend and I were not really expecting much at this tasting. The wines were cheap, the tasting area was in a nondescript warehouse, and the other couple tasting wines seemed pretty trashy. On top of that, our server was giving us really small pours of everything. We were not getting positive vibes about this place. The first few wines were not well balanced, and we were thinking that we wasted our time by going there. Then, we tried their Kitchen Sink blend. I was shocked. This wine was a blend of five or six varieties. There was no way that it should taste good — but it did! What a pleasant surprise. We got a bottle of this wine for $ 12, and we limited ourselves to only one bottle, because we had already bought several earlier in the day. While most of the wines aren’t that impressive, if you want a good table wine, I’d recommend trying the Kitchen Sink blend at Eye of the Needle.

Free wine tasting! Overall disappointing though. They didn’t have their Syrah which was the one we were interested in. They had Halloween decorations up, but not much of an ambiance beyond that. Our dog was allowed in their tasting room. This is part of the Woodinville wine warehouses go if the tasting is free… but I would skip otherwise.

Had a fun time tasting here. Ended up loving their wine and picking up a couple of bottles. Knowledgable, friendly staff. Oh and yeah, free tasting :)

Wonderful winery. Very drinkable wines. Their library collection had some of the best wines I’ve tasted in Woodinville. The owners are also very friendly. Will definitely go again and take many friends.

I absolutely loved this winery. I thought all of the wines were delicious and they were such great deals! We left with 4 bottles — harvest write, rose, private eye, and sangiovese. They also served this extremely delicious parmesan cheese with the wine and I just loved it and wanted to keep eating more! The staff was very friendly as well. The interior does look very different than other wineries and is an open room with a couple little tasting tables, but it worked.

Decided to stop in here because we heard other people laughing in there, and thought a good time must be awaiting us in there! Not a whole lot to be seen in the tasting room but there is definitely a lot of space, some chairs/furniture would be a good start. Tasting is FREE which is awesome. The only wine we liked was the Private Eye and we ended up leaving with a bottle. The other wines were $ 11 which is a pretty good price. The people in the tasting room were really friendly and the guy, Nick I think, took us in the back and showed us how they make the wine and the works. Pretty cool because they definitely do it differently, but I will leave that up to you to ask and find out exactly how ;) Definitely worth stopping in and tasting for FREE.

Pretty good wines, with one that was exceptional(Private Eye I think was the name…) The tasting room felt more like a booth at a fair than a welcoming place to enjoy a sip of vino. Which reminds, me a sip is about all you’ll get(the pours were a little stingy). The wine that I really liked was only available for tasting and pre-order. If you pre-ordered, you were supposed to get free membership in the Private Eye club but when I asked what that was, no one seemed to know or was interested in finding out. If you’re going tasting in the warehouse district, it wouldn’t hurt to stop in because they do have some good wines, but I wouldn’t plan on staying long.
