All food was fresh and had many home made items such as the cucumber salad and croutons on salad. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Would revisit without hesitation. And they offer some gluten free items like cookies and a bread choice.

The food is so delicious, my breakfast was just the way I wanted. Such a great hometown feel. Everyone is so friendly. The coffee excellent. Do yourself a favor and stop by for a great breakfast. They do have free WiFi.

Not fast food, but the best sandwiches in town. I have had the BLT and the spicy Italian and both were excellent. This is the go to sandwich place in town if you have the time.

I went with my daughter for brunch one morning. We ordered huevos rancheros. It turned out to be scrambled eggs with not much pizzazz or flavor. It was pretty spicy too. Nothing to write home about. Coffee is just ok

Eh alright coffee. Had a soy vanilla latte — not flavorful at all. Took a while too, but in all fairness they have a sign that says they«prepare food from their hearts and it’ll take time». Two coffees, fifteen minutes, $ 8 for ehhh coffee.

I went to Joanie’s this past weekend and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I was with a pretty large group and every one of them was more than pleased. It was so good, we decided to go a 2nd time. The 2nd time was even better than the 1st. Unfortunately the power went out that day but no need to worry, the staff did an outstanding job of making sure everyone got their meals anyway. I would recommend this wonderful establishment to anyone. Dawn makes one hell of a bread pudding. I really wish I could have taken her home with me so that I could enjoy this delicious treat everyday of my life.

This restaurant makes great sandwiches, has great views of Pikes Peak, and is on Hwy 24 just 20 min from Colorado Springs. I was impressed by the quality of my Southwestern sandwich, a delightful combination of rotisserie chicken, bacon, avocado, pepper jack cheese, etc. I also had a chocolate malt, which was surprisingly well-made. The only drawback was the wait-time. The sandwiches took between 15 – 20 minutes to come out. This wasn’t a big deal for us(we were on vacation) but I can see how a wait like this during non-peak hours on a weekday could become a little tiresome. Overall, great sandwiches and charm with a beautiful location.

Stopped in for breakfast on the weekend and enjoyed my veggie breakfast sandwich. My hubby ordered the breakfast burrito, and it was massive! He loved it. I would have liked the sandwich more if it came with fresh avocados rather than spread. The chili sauce on the burrito is a tomato /green chili mix — has a twang. Serve yourself coffee and water and bus your own table. Prices are a bit high. Overall — pleasant experience and will stop by again on our morning fishing excursions.

As of today, I have had every one of the grilled sandwiches. I have yet to be disappointed! While all were great, my favorites are the Grilled Italian, the Rueben and the Grilled Hawaiian. Fresh food, amazing staff and great atmosphere make Joanie’s my favorite lunch spot in Woodland Park.

Good breakfast and lunch. Incredible view of Pikes Peak. Places to eat outside on nice days. I had a breakfast sandwich on a fresh bagel — fantastic! I also tried a chicken pesto on ciabatta sandwich at lunch. It was also very good.

Joanie’s is a quaint deli with a small hometown feel. You order at the counter and grab your food at the deli counter when it’s ready. Staff is friendly, food is delicious and restaurant and bathrooms were clean. The tables and chairs are packed in for maximum seating so I could imagine it being a tight squeeze at lunch time. I got a Cobb salad — which was MASSIVE — for about $ 12. Everything was good and I’d definitely recommend this family-friendly joint for breakfast or lunch. FYI They are on summer hours now and are only open from 7am — 4pm.

Boring bland sandwiches. Indifferent staff. And then it seems as though they don’t use sugar in their chocolate chip cookies. They tasted like a flour patty with some chocolate chips… I wish big dawgs was still around!

Joanie’s is amazing. The people are real and caring. They care about you having a good meal. They are meant as a breakfast and lunch café, just like many other places in Woodland Park. In the winter time they close earlier because they can’t afford to be open due to lack of guests. The food is great! There are a few items I personally don’t care for, but it’s not because it isn’t made right. My favorites are the Jalapeño Bacon Croissants and they are made fresh. I order them right out of the oven all the time. I love their country potatoes and I have them smother them in country gravy, so yum. The Spicy Roast Beef Melt is to die for and I love that I can order a half sandwich! My husband loves the Chicken Cordon Blue Melt and their Peanut Butter Cookies! I wish they could expand their kitchen to incorporate more flat top grill space. I love the Veggie Melt they had for a while, but there just isn’t room to cook so many different things. There is one person who is a little slow at taking orders but has the most amazing personality and she always wants to make sure she has your order perfect! Joanie’s is a good deli/café. They are amazing supporters of the community. They are selfless people who really care. The dishwasher is amazing too :-)

Would give this place 5 stars if they didn’t close so early. I actually want to eat here more but it’s close by the time I get off work, and doesn’t stay open any later on the weekends so I often miss my chance. Love the sandwiches. The prices are a bit high, but the sandwiches are quality. The Chicken Pesto is my favorite, no wait the Chicken Bacon Gouda is, unless of course I’m in the mood for the Cordon Bleu Melt, oh but I do love the Turkey Melt. Never mind, it’s too hard to decide which is best.

Love this place! Wish it was in Parker! Chain maybe? Found it on Unilocal. We are driving home from a few days in the mountains. Stopped in for a late lunch. It’s raining but still a great view of Pike’s Peak, hubby had the signature Turkey Melt that he loved and I had a cheese quiche and salad greens that was fluffy and yummy! Resisted pastries but sweet bread was being pulled from the oven! Friendly prompt service. Cosy neighborhood feel.

Two words, Boars Head. That got them to the first star. The vanilla shake got them to the second star. The view of pikes peak on the patio and the fact I can sit out here with my dog finished up the review. Great chef salad too.

They’re food is fresh and their staff is friendly. Yummy soup, sandwiches, sides and dessert. Bit on the expensive side though. For ½ pesto sandwich with cup of chili and full pesto sandwich with kettle chips, no drinks it was 20.26. Also the bread was a bit soggy, maybe due to too much sauce, who wants soggy bread? :(Maybe next time I’ll try a salad.

One year later and Joanie’s is still kicking it. This adorable little deli resides outside of Colorado Springs up in the mountains. It may not be the fastest place but it’s a welcome sight if you’re driving through. Who wants fast food while you’re on your way to the healthy mountains, right? The owner is always working on the food behind the counter. She always seems to be in a white top — must be her signature look. Hearty bread. Fresh meats. Yummy deserts makes Joanie’s a great place to stop for a quick bite.
