Outstanding place for TexMex if you are a vegetarian. They are able to make you an excellent vegetarian fajita dinner. Great drink selection as well.

Was pleasantly surprised. The enchiladas were good. Some of my favorite in the area. Our service was excellent, very quick. The restaurant was very nice looking in the inside. The salsa was some of the best I’ve had. Will be revisiting.

I used Unilocal to find a place to take my 3 boys to dinner during our first stay in Houston, TX. Outstanding service, delicious food and we WILL be back again soon.

From the service to the food, everything here was just ok. There are better Mexican restaurants out there, but it was fine in a pinch. Margaritas were weak and overpriced, in my opinion. On a high note, they make their tortillas in-house and their beans were good.

My colleagues and I come here often for lunch. They’re quick and friendly. The lunch menu is a good value. There are certainly better Mexican restaurants, but the convenient location, efficiency of service, free ice cream, and decent prices keep us coming back. Try the fiesta burrito. Oh, did I mention free ice cream?

I had the chicken soup and a skinny margarita. The margarita was okay, but tasted watery so maybe next time I’ll order the real deal. The soup is so flavorful. The chicken and potatoes and carrots in it were great. It was also served with several garnishes to add in. They have a few games that cost $.50 to play, so have some change if you have little ones. My kids also loved the free ice cream cones as a finale to out evening.

The food and drinks are a little better than mediocre but there’s never a wait, great atmosphere, and perfect service. Just consistency you can’t get with many other restaurants.

The chips and what I believe to be Newman’s Own salsa were the best part of the meal. The queso was literally just a small dish of plain melted(Velveeta?) cheese and the enchiladas were simply corn tortillas with some sort of bland red sauce. Nothing had seasoning and the chicken was, judging by the texture, probably shipped frozen and then heated on a stove or in a microwave. At least the service was fairly quick? Although it should be if all you’re doing is microwaving chicken and cheese.

Would have given this place 4 stars but the service was lacking. The staff must have had a late night fiesta! The food was absolutely delicious! I uploaded a few pictures of how great it looks. The margaritas are way overpriced though.

Fairly cheap, the place is really pretty inside, and they give you free ice cream… The service wasn’t all that good, though everyone’s a Spanish speaker so that’s a plus! There was a tiny confusion and they kept speaking Spanish to me and my friend, she doesn’t speak Spanish at all so it was a bit awkward. Definitely not the best Mexican food out there but it’s not too bad. Will I be coming back? Maybe… Not sure.

This spot deserves a review, as it’s out of the way and not-so-discoverable. Great spot to bring kids, but if you dislike them rugrats running around all over the place, then head to the adult area. basically it’s a bar area that’s almost like another restaurant attached to the main dining section. The spot serves two crowds, but at the center is either a band or performer playing music. My kid loved the quesadilla. I tried one and thought the tortilla could be improved. However, my Chicken Enchilada was decent. Although food service was friendly, it’s a bit on the slow side.

Not recommended! The food here is not good. We ordered the fajitas with chicken and beef. The beef was chewy and the chicken was rubbery. I’m used to tender, juicy & flavorful fajitas and that was not what was served. The atmosphere was okay and the service was so-so. We’re definitely not eating at Cilantro’s again!

Although folks weren’t rude, the staff was and has never been very friendly since I’ve been here 5 years. Today the granddaughter wanted a balloon from the resident clown. He did not speak with my Junebug and hurriedly made a dog handed it to her and walked off. I will not return to this place again.

I ordered to go on one of the days this week were the weather was horrible. The man who answered the to go hotline was very nice, he took my order and had great customer service. Chicken enchiladas with queso on top, refrained beans, and Spanish rice completed my order. Everything was very hot and tasted good when I finally got it home. I also asked for a side of rice for my son and they had it in my bag as well. I will be back,

Monetarily worth going? Yes, their food was pretty good and not too pricey. Can improvements be made? Yes. The flour tortilla chips we first received with our queso order were under cooked. We asked for another batch and they were much better. Queso was very good. The flour tortilla I got with my soft taco had too much lard added to the mix when the dough was prepared. Flour tortillas are supposed to be white and fluffy. Their tortillas are flat and slightly see through or yellowish due to the dough preparation. The chicken in the flautas and the soft taco was great, really good flavor and juicy. The margaritas were nice, strong, and cheap during Happy Hour(the plain one, flavorings are extra) The free soft serve ice cream is way too icy. Service was great. Ambiance was great. Restrooms were clean.

When we go eat Mexican cuisine, we typically go here. I visit about 2 – 3 times a month and love the food, atmosphere, and margaritas. Good restaurant for the whole family. and live music on the weekends! only complaint. parking can be a challenge sometimes.

Summary: Order the guacamole! This used to be Rico’s. Now it’s Cilantro’s. I’ve been there several times since they changed ownership and names. A lot of things are the same. Even a lot of the same employees still work there. The food is definitely good. Last time, I picked up a to-go order. The guy who brought out the packed food also took the payment. He smiled and said he’d made the guacamole himself. He’s been there a good while — since back when the place was called Rico’s.(A slightly older guy with a mustache who is up at the front a lot. A few times when we’ve had problems with our to-go orders, he always sorts everything out and makes sure we leave satisfied — and apologizes even though it’s not his fault.) Anyway, when I tasted the guacamole, I have to say it might just well be the best I’ve had. I hope this dude makes the guacamole the next time, too. I have been to Cilantro’s when the service was less than stellar. Not terrible or rude, just way too slow. But it’s not always that way. I recommend this place.

This has been my lunch break stop three times recently. They are very quick on getting the fajitas ready; whether I am picking up for the five ladies at the office or eating in with company. You can pick refried beans, charro beans, or black beans — cilantro rice or Mexican rice — and from cheese drizzled fajita meat to meat covered in jalapenos. The black beans went very well with the flavor of the cilantro rice, and the peppers gave my fajitas a spicy kick. Our server and other workers all had smiles on their faces while they made sure our waters never hit empty. We came in as lunch was winding down, but our welcome was cut a bit short when they started cleaning our table off after we asked for a to go box — but before they brought one out! I am always surprised at how. unconvincing Mexican food is in the Tomball/Spring area, but the fajitas had nice choices and it is close to work. The ladies at my office will return — and I will be the one to suggest it.
