European Wax Center

I was in Cleveland for a few weeks and needed a wax. I had heard good things about EWC so made an appointment. I saw Heather; she was very friendly, quick and made the whole process painless! I will be recommending her to friends and have already scheduled my next appointment with her!

Came to the European Wax Center for a Brazilian wax. Being new to the Cleveland area, I wasn’t sure what to expect considering I’ve had a fair number of Brazilian waxes and some have been pretty traumatizing. I can easily say however that my experience at the European Wax Center was absolutely amazing. Firstoff, the salon is beautiful, clean, and calming. Megan, my waxer, was warm and very hospitable. She definitely eased the mood by conversing with me from start to finish and she definitely knew what she was doing. Overall, the wax was quick and quite possibly one of the most painless Brazilians I’ve ever had. I will definitely be returning to a European Wax Center for my future waxes.

First, the waxing: the girls are very much hit-​or-​miss. Its totally possible yo find a great one, but they work, i swear, three hour days so making an appt with the one you like is a herculean task. The misses have left me bleeding (!!!), hairy (after going over the area not 2 – 3 times, but 7 – 8 times, hence the bleeding) and scrambling to find an emergency appt elsewhere to fix their mess (at, obviously, an additional full cost of a second wax). Mind you me, i have blond hair and have been waxing for the past 13 years, so theres almost no hair left to begin with.
Moving right along Id lile to point out the lack of customer service as well. Multiple times i was asked to wait 5 to 10 minutes in the waiting area or go next door to sbux and grab a coffee because the waxers do run late. However, the one time i arrived 5 mins late after calling and asking if they would be able to accomodate I was once again left in the lobby to wait 5 more mins and then declined my appt because of the 10 minute lateness policy. When i pointed out that ive BEEN here for a while the supervisor/​manager came to the waiting area where she, in full outside voice, discussed my lateness along with my brazilian in front of at least 5 other people, men included. Now, i dont care that it was made public knowledge how i like my lady bits groomed and that i was chastised by an 18 yo girl like im a naughty 1^st grader who arrived to class late. It bothers me that the only person who felt this was not so professional and apologised to me was my lovely waxer. Yearly package cancelled and never again will they get my business.

I went to European wax center this morning for my very first Brazilian wax.
Naturally, I was terrified. Coming across a number of Google horror stories, and countless traumatic tales from close friends, I expected the worst. –in fact, I expected all the uncomfort of the gyno mixed with excruciating pain.
So I grabbed the closest thing I could find to Vicodin (6ibuprofens), sucked it up, and walked in for my appointment.
The woman at the front desk was warm and welcoming. And shortly after being checked in, Megan came out to greet me and bring me back into her torture chamber.
But I can honestly tell you, it was the opposite.
You think sitting there, spread eagle, baring it all to a complete stranger would be awful. But Megan made me comfortable. She laughed and joked with me. She understood how low my pain tolerance was and she assured me I would be ok… And I was. Scale of 1 – 10 on the pain scale, it was a 5. Imagine my surprise!
I would recommend Megan to anyone and everyone. She’s highly professional and awesome at what she does. She uses hard wax, and helps with your breathing so the pain level is as low as possible.
So, ladies, don’t think twice, and put your razors down!
–I have already booked my next appointment. European wax center has made a waxer out of me!

Moving here from NY, and also a veteran to waxing, I wanted to find somewhere I could be a regular. I used to go to another EWC in NY, and loved it but of course not all waxers are created equal!
Read the reviews on here, and with a recommendation of Megan in hand, I went online and made an appointment. I have only gone once but I cannot recommend this place enough, and especially Megan, she is so wonderful and pleasant. The girls at the front desk were also very friendly, and I talked to them for about 5 – 10 minutes both; before and after my appointment.
I would return here again and again. 5 stars! :)

I spent three days calling. No one ever picked up. Finally, I left a message Thursday at 1:45pm and someone called me the next day at 9:45 am saying that was unacceptable behavior and it would be rectified. I called back and made the appointment for same day (Friday)for my friend and I. Life was good. 2 hours before the appointment, a girl called and said she had to cancel. I understand that people get sick, but it is your responsibility to make sure you are properly staffed. Apparently, only my appointment was canceled. Since I wasn’t offered to go after my friend, I called back and canceled her appointment too. I told the girl that we would go somewhere else. She didn’t care. I don’t either at this point. Avoid this location. Check out some of the others, they have fantastic products and customer service.

I have been here twice since it opened and I’m so glad to have found this salon. The special wax and technique that they use is really unique and honestly the most painless wax I have ever experienced. Megan was my waxer — she made me feel at home and was speedy and professional.
The girl at the front desk was very nice too. My only qualm was a bit of attitude from the person on the phone who made my reservation.
Overall a 5 star experience.

i love this place! the owner is super friendly. I’ve only ever gone for waxes, and always get Lana. She is the BEST!!! i won’t go anywhere else anymore, because she does the best job.

GREAT new place! I was in town from NY and desperately needed a wax, but nervous about trying somewhere new because as a veteran waxer, I have HIGH standards when it comes to waxers/facilities…I was MORE than pleasantly surprised!
First, the facility is brand new. It’s SUPER clean and polished. The vibe feels like an upscale salon, but the prices are super reasonable!
My waxer, Megan couldn’t have been nicer. She made me feel relaxed and comfortable. The wax itself was practically PAINLESS!
I highly recommend this place and will definitely return on my next trip to Cleveland. I hope the ones in NY are just as good!
