Food was amazing. Apps were really good too. Everything ordered was amazing. Wish I remembered all the names of the things we ordered… Would definitely return though nice place in the area. Also service was good too, never had to wait to get the waiter and was pleasantly surprised when I ordered the Sapporo beer and I got a huge one like 22 oz. really liked that.

I went here for the lunch special. One time I had the wok basil chicken and another time I had Mongolian chicken. Both were good. The portions of miso soup and salad were large. The suishi is larger than most suishi restaurants. The prices are reasonable. The servers were very friendly.

Fantastic! Stopped in for lunch. From the sign outside I wasn’t expecting much but was pleasantly surprised. Clean and cozy inside.
Great lunch options. Our service was fantastic, food was tasty (sushi and general Tso chicken)
Really glad I gave this place a chance!
I eat here now about twice a week. The staff is so professional and nice. The order is always perfect. Love this place !!

I am extremely picky when it comes to my food, but I am going to be fair with this review. I ordered my food online and then went to pick it up. The order was waiting for me when I got there and it was 100 percent accurate. Not only that, but when I entered, I was greeted very warmly by the entire staff.
I ordered the two roll special with brown rice: vegetable roll and a tuna roll. I also ordered the miso soup and the Thai red snapper. I was impressed with everything but the soup and the tuna roll.
My disclaimer is my pickiness, so take this review with a grain of salt in terms of the negatives. I’ve only had miso soup one other time and liked it because the tofu literally melted in my mouth. That didn’t happen here. I did like the soup broth, but I was not a fan of what else was in the soup. I also did not really like the tuna roll. Again, no fault of the establishment. It may just me not liking it. I loved the vegetable roll, which I never had. I also forgot to mention the banana roll I had for dessert. It came with a chocolate sauce, strawberry sauce and a strawberry.
I did keep the red snapper with sauce and rice for left overs. I have not eaten that yet, but I sampled the fish and it also tasted very good. That will be dinner later! Oh and pricewise, that was two meals and dessert for $ 27.00!
I will definitely eat here again, and will continue to update as I experiment with their menu!

XO has the best sushi around. Everything is so fresh and amazing here. I have tried several things hot&sour soup, spicy kani roll, salmon avocado roll, tuna roll, spicy salmon roll, california roll and kani salad which is a must try if you come here. The servers are really nice here and they even brought out a complimentary appetizer both times I came here for lunch. The lunch specials are very reasonable. I am not into those all-you-can-eat half price sushi places, quality for sushi is more important to me than quantity. They also have gluten free soy sauce (no extra charge) which is important for me. Definitely recommend coming here for high quality japanese food.

Boy was I surprised. We’ve been to this location many, many times over the past years and we were never excited about the décor, service and especially the food. On a recommendation from a close and very knowledgeable friend we decided to try the new XO Sushi restaurant, and we’re we incredibly surprised. The newly renovated location was just fabulous. They start you off with a complimentary Tuna appetizer that was fabulous. The fried dumplings are not to be missed. All the specialty rolls were just as great. The service was impressive as the staff was intent on us enjoying the experience. An experience it was. Can’t wait to go back. Finally a place to eat in the neighborhood. Love it. Thanks Bob…

Ordered chicken teriyaki lunch special w miso soup and side order of pork fried dumplings for pickup. Waited extra 15min when I got there. Chicken teriyaki was not warm but cold. Was also very dry and bland. Chicken miso soup was pure salt. Dumplings were good. I don’t think it was worth the $ 16 I paid for lunch special and appetizer. Not coming back sorry.

Overall very courteous and friendly staff. Always go out of their way to please you. Very professional on the phone. For the most part food is good. But I wish they would increase their flavor options. I can tell they seem to use the same flavors for all the main dishes. Which is the brown sauce. Not bad but can get boring. I eat here on avg 1x a week. Food seems fresh and they are never too busy where u are waiting for too long.

My husband and I eat here at least once a week for the past two months. We have had amazing dinners each time. Our favorites include the Tuna Taco, which we order every time. We haven’t had a bad roll yet. The service is amazing and the owner is on top of every aspect of the restaurant. We have introduced XO to many of our friends who also have become regulars. So nice to finally have a local sushi spot that is consistent.

Stopped in yesterday to pick up some rolls for a family get together. The staff could not have been nicer. I ordered 10 rolls and the presentation was absolutely beautiful. I wish I had taken a picture but as soon as I put the platter down and took the cover off, people were digging in. They arranged on a platter with a flower. The sushi was delicious. They even included a free appetizer. The prices were very reasonable. I am looking forward to going back and having dinner in the restaurant. They definitely have a few new fans! Thanks.

Tried a few days ago for the first time
My wife and I are big fans of Asian food, love the other restaurants around 5 towns.
This one unfortunately is really poor.
Poor food– low quality and for the first time in years I can say that it was really bad.
Ordered fried rice noodles and miso soup. Almost didn’t touch both.
The service was fast and good
The food was terrible

Tried XO Sushi last night, I got scallion pancakes for an appetizer and then the Maki Combination for my entrée. The scallion pancakes were very delicious and the sushi was fresher than any other sushi I’ve tried in the area. I was surprised why this place wasn’t crowded as everything was very delicious. They even gave us a free tuna appetizer before the scallion pancakes which was also delicious.

This place is amazing. I had a few appetizers, (fried calamari and pork dumplings) not oily at all and taste awesome. Their sushi is very good, fresh and smooth. It’s a small restaurant and the atmosphere is perfect for a dinner date, but it can still accommodate a decent sized party. If you’re in the area, give this place a shot. You won’t regret it.

Stop looking, come here.
The sushi is wonderful, and there is a large selection. Not in the mood for sushi? They got noodles, filet mignon, rice, teriyaki, and anything to satisfy you except your Big Mac/French fry combo from McDonald’s. The quality of their food does not disappoint.
Don’t forget to try their ice cream. It’s amazing as well.

FINALLY! Woodmere has opened a Japanese place worth eating at! I came here on my 4 PM dinner break! (I know that’s when older people normally eat early bird specials but it’s when my job gives us dinner when we work a night so I have to take it).
I had the vegetable gyoza, miso soup, scallion pancakes and the avocado peanut roll. I ate everything and now I’m pretty full but on good food so I’m not complaining. The miso soup was delicious, it had more of a salty taste but I love salt so I had no problem with that. The vegetable gyoza was fried to perfection and tasted so delicious as I dipped it into the accompanying sauce and ate each tasty piece. The avocado peanut roll was fresh, so wonderful, more avocado with a perfect center of crushed peanuts rolled perfectly inside of a seaweed and rice roll. One of the best pieces of vegetarian sushi I have ever tasted. The scallion pancakes were fried & crisp to perfection.
The service was great, professional, and very fast. The presentation of the food was wonderful. I’m so happy there’s a good place to eat sushi in woodmere! Five towns residents IMO this is one of the places to eat!
