I do not know what all these whiners are talking about, but as someone who grew up eating Aurelios in Richton Park, I have to say the quality carries from each location! The sauce is just phenomenal! Ok, they can skimp on sauce and it can be under cooked occasionally, SO as I have learned, ALWAYS request extra sauce and well done, then you are covered! I could eat this pizza every single day! Everyone I introduce to it loves it too! AND this particular location has a very pleasant staff(so far!)! Try it and if you have and went away unhappy, give it a second chance, because it is delicious!

Pretty awful. Pasta sauce is overly sweet, pizza sauce is way too salty. The pizza is crisp on the outside edges but the rest is soggy. Very expensive too for what we got. $ 120 for two pizzas, 2 orders of pasta a sandwich and a salad. Delivery was within the allotted time. This was the first and last time I will order from them even though another location was recommended by a friend. Try Dans in downers grove instead.

If I wrote this review two years ago I would give them 5 stars. I’m not sure what has changed but this Aurelio’s is not what it used to be. The sandwiches still taste great but the pizza by the slice could use some improvement. The customer service has gone down hill. I used to stop in on a regular basis for their great sandwich deals. The food used to be prepared quickly and the staff was friendly. I stopped in last night for two sandwiches. I ordered the sandwiches and waited at least 20 minutes. The staff did not seem happy and the seating area was almost empty. Overall– the food is great but the customer service could use some improvement.

Pizza is really good but $ 56 for only family size 2 topping and one large cheese thin crust is pretty ridiculous. I can get Lou Malnatis for cheaper and better service. Don’t order a salad, the one we ordered had rotten tomatoes and slimy cucumbers. Don’t complain or try to even reach out to corporate, they DONOT care and won’t get back. I ordered delivery and it was going to be 75 min. I told them I would just pick it up instead and they told me I couldn’t. What??? I can’t change my mind? Then they told me they already ran my card and I could pick it up but wouldn’t get the delivery charge back. Really, you can’t void the change and rerun the card? Total incompetence and the worst customer service I’ve experienced. I’d rather get Lou’s or Little Italian.

Let me start by saying Aurelio’s is my favorite pizza place around. That being said the location in downers next to the Tivoli will be getting all of my business rather then this location. Several occasions I’ve dealt with drivers being late, pizza being cold/cheese slid all over to one side. I don’t know what it is about this particular location(management?) But every time I order a pizza from here there is an issue. Sad but I’ll never order again.

I only gave them one star because I had to! Dinning in was a shit experience. Staff just doesn’t care! Tables were not clean and I couldn’t get anyone to wipe the table down. If there is a next time, I’ll carry out.

We called to order a pizza a few weeks ago and was told there would be an hour wait. After about an hour and 45 minutes, I placed a call back and asked what the problem was. he said that the driver had just gotten busy and was just leaving with our pizza and would be there within 15 minutes. He showed up 35 minutes later with the cold pizza. We tipped him because we assumed it wasn’t his fault. We had to reheated in the microwave and it look like it had been sitting in grease for sometime. I called back to speak to the manager and the young man who answer the phone so there was no manager but he could not authorize a refund because we had paid in cash and it was a $ 35 pizza. He took my name and number and promised that the manager would call me the next day to rectify this. I never heard back from them and we won’t be placing an order there again.

I’m with others on this place. The pizza is good, but the service… not so much. I’ll probably be back, but I won’t visit as much as I did at the one in LaGrange.

The pizza is excellent. The service compared to other places is superb. Will be back. I’m moving away and I wish I could take them with me. If you live at amli they deliver right to your apartment. A little pricey but definitely worth it.

I have only had the pizza at this place. They can be very hit or miss. At times the pizza is delivered fresh and hot… but there are times it’s not. The staff also has its ups and down. There has been some issues with the delivery guy but everyone can’t be perfect. We will order from here because when the pizza is good its REALLY good.

ok I didn’t dine here on purpose somebody else had ordered from them but they must have gotten rid of the former staff because the pizza was great, it came on time and no hassle from the staff this time. Subsequent attempt to buy also went off without a hitch

Don’t bother. I live near this place and had been wanting to try it. One snowy night I decided to order delivery. I had been craving a chicken parmesan sandwich for a long time. Tonight was the night. The description read a tasty sandwich with baked mozz and marinara sauce on a buttery brioche roll for $ 8.50. Sounds good, right? What I got was a small sandwich on a ciabatta bread with NO marinara and some wilted lettuce. It sucked. I also ordered the Chicken Caesar Salad — «tender pieces of chicken on top of our fabulous Caeser Salad» — for $ 12.95! I don’t know about you, but $ 12.95 for a Caesar salad is not cheap. But I was in the mood and willing to do it. Besides, I figured it was probably really good. I put in a special request that my chicken be cooked extra well done. An hour later, the delivery arrived. The sandwich was nothing close to what was described. To my shock, the Caesar salad was just chopped up Romaine lettuce with some sprinkles of parmesan cheese and croutons. The chicken was cold and still semi-pink(not well done like I had asked). And the dressing… packets of Ken’s Caesar dressing. It wasn’t even their own dressing. HUGEDISAPPOINTMENT. Will never order from here again.

I am downgrading my review due to service. The last three times we have ordered our pizzas have not been ready and we have had to wait 20 minutes. The pizzas are not complicated orders and phoning ahead is supposed to save time, which is why we don’t do delivery. The pizza is still great but come on guys. I know Friday nights are busy but you can do better. Nancy’s is not that much further to go.

Awful. This place is the worst. I ordered a small pepperoni and onion, thinking ‘keep it simple’ as their closing time was about 45 minutes away. I arrive and the cashier tells me they forgot to put toppings on the pizza. How does this happen?! You have one job and it was not busy. They make up for it by giving me the cheese pizza for free. Ok so, everything seems to even out and be fair… just had to wait a little longer. So now comes the good part right?! I finally get to eat!(I was also sharing with a couple friends that weren’t as hungry) I open the boxes to a absurd spice smell. Like I love hot food but it literally smelled they made it with a gallon of Tabasco. I notice these fools put red pepper all over both pizzas making it inedible. So morale of the story don’t mess up 3 different times and I won’t write a one star review. I ended up going to bed so hungry. Hate this place forever.

Used to order from here quite a bit. Was able to count on quality and a good pie. Not certain what happened but the consistency of their pizza has slipped in recent months. Not the same

We ordered some pizzas for a lunch party and overall the pizza was rated average. We’ve experienced better. I would probably give them 2.5 stars. They gain a star for offering gluten free pizza but lose a star for being knuckleheads. When I went to pick up the pizzas one employee was telling the other a story. This story included multiple swears — I don’t really care but they knew a customer was standing there. Common sense rules would apply. As for the price, it was about average.

This was a bitter sweet review. I had stopped eating at Aurelio’s for over a decade and gave a horrible review here(my comments still stand for the experience). I used to eat at the Downers Grove location while in high school(fantastic calabrese) and over the years, I stopped eating there once I graduated. I figured that they were run by the family(ala Lou Malnati’s, Home Run Inn) and not individually owned. I decided to stop here, just to get a feeling on how I would be treated. I was VERY well treated during initial«stop through’s» to get a menu. Because of the woman I spoke with, I was willing to give them a chance. I went in one day and asked the woman working there about the special. She was very polite. I then told her that I had not ate an Aurelio’s Pizza in over a decade and told her why. She was FLOORED when I told her what happened(if you want to see the story, check my Houses of the Horrible list). The more I told her, the more she was in total disbelief. She actually said she was sorry to hear about my experiences at the previous location, which is now owned by the people who own this location. While there are some seating, it’s pretty limited as far as pizza places go. I had a slice of pizza and it was just as I remembered it. I remember their pan is pretty solid but the thin crust is rock solid. Nice spread of spice and sauce. I also had some pasta and that tasted good. I’m looking forward to having a nice sausage, mushroom and onion cal! So far, so good. The owners of this location also own the Villa Park location now. The moral of this story is that good will can go a LONGWAY. For every person who might bring something to an owner’s attention, at least 3 times that many will just walk away and say nothing at all. 4 – 4 ½ stars. I might try the partial bake/made to order take home & see how well it freezes.

Aurelio’s is for Lovers… PIZZALOVERS! First off, I grew up on Aurelio’s Pizza. Their old Oakbrook Terrace location was within walking distance from my old house so at least twice a week from the ages of 13 to 20 I’d take a hike over and partake in some delicious P to the Eat to the ‘Za. Then my family and I moved to Naperville and the now 14 mile walk was not conducive to my schedule. I was sad to be so far from my beloved pizza pals, going through many a wicked pizza withdrawal but luckily, the pizza Gods shone down and the same owners opened up not one, but two locations near my pad. Since then I’ve been happily feasting on many a pie from their conveniently located Woodridge location. I always take my ‘za to go so I can enjoy my most favorite comfort/convenience food the way it was meant to be eaten– comfortably and conveniently curled up with my human lover on the couch while watching a flick. Pizza night Perfection. And to put the price issue to rest, did you ever see that Bernie Mac episode where Bernie decides that Bryana needs her own room after she walks in on him getting out of the bathtub? If you haven’t, get on that Tivo fo sho. It’s one of the greatest family comedies of all time. R.I.P. Bernie. Anyway, the contractor building Bryana’s new room and gives Bernie and Wanda some options on how the room can get done. There are 3 categories: Fast, Cheap, and Quality, but you can only have 2 of those things at any time. So if you want it done fast and cheap, it won’t be quality(in this scenario it means to avoid the fast pizza by the slice option), if you want it to be quality and cheap it’s going to take some more time, and lastly, if you want it to be quality and done in a reasonable amount of time in ratio to your hunger, it ain’t gonna be the cheapest. So there you have it, the prices here aren’t cheap but you get what you pay for and at Aurelio’s I know I’m paying for quality. «It’s not too expensive, you’re too cheap» is also an appropriate quote in this scenario. Quick tip: Big ups to that sweet and tangy sauce. I always order mine with extra on the side to dip.

Don’t know what the folks below are talking about. Look up Aurelio’s in any other city in the greater Chi-town area and they get good reviews. We went there yesterday for the first time… We ordered a pizza made-to-order. If you get a slice that’s been sitting under heat lamps from ANY chain/joint, expect a cheaper version! But, since we ordered a pizza to be made for us, ours was hot, delicious, and extremely flavorful. The crust tasted like asiago/parmesan had been sprinkled on it. I found it to have a hint of garlic and the sauce was perfect. Located next to the Tivoli theatre and we had an incredibly fun night walking around downtown DG, eating great pizza, and seeing a movie next door at the nostalgic theatre for UNDER $ 30. I also overheard the lady telling a customer that they have a rewards program. The only reason we went there was based on heavy recommendations from my husband’s new colleagues at work. I will absolutely return. P. s. this location does have seating(2 – 3 tables inside, 2 – 3 outside too) but is mostly a take-out, and delivery location.
