Neighborhood place that has been around for a while and while not quite running on fumes, is definitely resting on past laurels. Definitely popular with the locals, but a couple points there. First: Bountiful. If that’s not enough, let’s call the Second: The Power Of Force Of Habit. This is heavily Americanized Italian and a bit questionable at that, however, they have ranch! Service was slow and often absent for much of the time but they have ranch! Appetizer is poorly sliced bread with some minor seasonings and ranch! Which they have! I’ve been to a zillion places like this and know enough, by now, to play it safe and stick with pizza, but I did see on the other tables(this place is very popular with groups and no wonder, being that they have ranch! and all) a few entrees that did not strike me as particularly Italian. But not the ranch! Full, authentic, meticulously prepared bona vide ranch! Maybe you don’t want authentic and don’t want to stray and if that’s you(it definitely is much of the population here), then this type of place is right up your alley(and they also have ranch!). If you like Olive Garden(or ranch, which they have!), you will probably like this also. It wasn’t quite so much for me. Execution seemed largely phoned in and plating was atrocious. I can’t remember the last time I’ve seen so many dishes served so sloppily and haphazardly put together. If this was an expensive place and I was served some of the stuff I saw, I probably would take umbrage and offense and steamroll right on up out of there. As it was, I suffered until my tolerance was gone and I could no longer and then just picked, basically. On the plus, I will give them a nod for the iced tea, but definitely not for the garlic bread, which looked pretty gross and was far from toasted. Maybe they got confused and were aiming for Knoblauchbrot instead, but if so, that is the poorest rendition I’ve ever seen or even heard of. The place is huge and somewhat cathedral-like and if a big area for big groups, frequently with loud and screaming small children is your thing, then look no further. If you prefer flavors more bold and exciting than ketchup, ranch!, or weak Alfredo sauce, set your sights on Salt Lake, where restaurants like that both exist and flourish. One and out.

I would do 3 and a half if I could. In general the food is pretty good. The service has always been good too. It’s not gormet by any means, but a fun place to go with a big group or on a date. Tasty breadsticks, and like everyone else says, the ranch dressing is the best.

If Denny’s did Italian, the food would be slightly better than this, the service would be the same and the ambiance would be better. The upside is the mediocre food comes with a low price.

Great Italian food! I usually get the half ravioli/half spaghetti and it is just as good as I have had in Italy. Pizza is also very good. Nice staff and cool atmosphere.

We were in town on a trip and this place was packed when we drove by so we thought we would give them a try thinking if people are willing to wait, the food must be pretty good. Wow were we completely off base. This place is worse than even Olive Garden. To even call it Italian food is a joke. We almost left immediately when we were first served complimentary bread(Texas toast actually) with ranch dipping sauce. What? I ordered the veal parmigiana and when the waiter asked if I wanted pasta, fries(YESFRIES) or a baked potato with it, I again was ready to walk out. Not sure why I didn’t check Unilocal before we came here but we were on our way back from a movie and hunger got the best of us and we just followed the masses. Lesson learned. I will say the staff and our waiter we’re extremely helpful, pleasant and very friendly.

Have been there a few times and everytime I am disappointed. It isn’t terrible but there are so many other good places around. Don’t do it.

Been coming here sense we were kids. We have not been here for a while. Still like the food and the service is always good. Have no complaints. We will definitely come here again.

Eating here depressed me. The décor, the lighting, and especially the food made me feel like I had been committed to an old folks home. Save yourself and never go.

If you’re reminiscing and missing your school lunch from when you were a child, just stop by here. All the items(pizza, spaghetti, «broiled» chicken, salad and breadsticks) were less than satisfactory. The broiled chicken had grill marks, which lead me to believe it’s a frozen pre-cooked item. It was similar to jerky, dry and completely tasteless. The pizza for a place who serves«Italian» was awful. Plain and no flavor. The meat sauce tasted something similar to Chef Boyardee canned spaghetti-o’s blended & served over bland pasta. Truly sad :(I feel awful to have wasted money on this. As my husband and I were driving away, we both had trouble not feeling sick from the taste in our mouths following the spaghetti.

I will make this short and sweet. The food here reminds me of school lunch. Veggies out of a can, sauce out of a package and garlic bread that looks exactly like the stuff you buy from the freezer section at your grocery store. This service is acceptable. But that’s it. The prices are acceptable. There is plenty of parking. Every time I have been here the place is packed with people. I would never choose to eat here because its not my thing. I prefer my food to be fresh and flavorful which this is not. These are my opinions and obviously not those of others, because this place is always busy. I don’t understand why its busy but it is

The décor is extremely dated, it’s been the same since I was a kid, the service is usually wretched, and the food is mostly subpar. It really does seems like it’s frozen food. I like the pizza, it’s the only pizza I’ve ever had that is better reheated. The garlic bread is good as well, and whatever ranch dressing they use is tasty.

I love Robintino’s pizza! I think it is way better than most delivery pizza. The breadsticks are great, and I love their ranch. I have not tried a lot of the other items on the menu because I always want pizza, but it sure looks good when other people order it! Who doesn’t like pizza!!! Mmmm

Robintino’s ranch runs through my veins – I buy a pint of it every time I come. Tino’s is a staple in the Bountiful area and I’d recommend the #13 cenetta with lasagna. This place is delicious and DEFINITELY not slightly better than a frozen dinner. DELICIOUS.

The food here is nostalgic and tastes okay. The restaurant is really run down. It was dirty and the carpet was worn out. Our server was rude. She literally dropped the garlic bread on the table and left without a word. Although I wouldn’t say all of the servers behaved this way, this one server in particular ruined the experience for me. If we ever come here again, it will be take out.

If you like paying a lot for frozen TV dinners, come here! The lasagna was for sure Stouffers… not to mention the main dish was comparable to Chef Boyardee! Never ever ever again.

This restaurant tasted like everything came from the frozen food aisle at the supermarket. No thank you. They try to make up for it by giving you more garlic bread than any human should eat at one time. Service was fine though.

Wow, this place is no bueno! I regretfully ignored all of the bad reviews on Unilocal simply because we have found that north salt lake and bountiful are seriously lacking if not void of Italian restaurants. This place also happens to be near our house and the lot is almost always packed so we figured what the heck, perhaps it is one of those places that is such a local institution that people don’t even think to review it. I also started to make justifications as we walked in and noticed that precisely 98.3%(jk I I didn’t actually do the math) of the patronage were in their late 80s to early 90s, and thought«oh I see, old people don’t review things, much less know what a Unilocal is, other then how it relates to a the way a dog barks» so I assumed it must just be underrated… Sadly I must agree with another Unilocaler who stated that Denny’s carries more authentic Italian food! Their menu is tired and sad, only the real basic american stereotypical choices, nothing creative. Even the pizza toppings selection is basic an sad. The décor is dated and dirty, or table was sticky and it and our chairs were wobbly. The service was terrible and our waitress only stopped by to take our order, drop off our food and drop off our check. Another thing I hated was that they have you take your ticket up to the front to pay, oh don’t worry I love standing in line for 10 minutes like a douche carrying a set of twins in car seats. I’m thinking that the pizza is probably OK if you are in the mood for real standard american toppings, but the sauce on my wife Fettuccini tasted like flour water, and the sauce on my «chicken ala robintiono» was like ketchup mixed with a bit odd ranch dressing. Our waters tasted like dirty tap water and the steamed veggie sides tasted like day old canned garbage. I would never easy here again nor would I ever suggest it to anyone else, if I heard that a friend of mine liked it, in not sure we could be friends anymore…

FOODCOMA!!! And not one that is worth it. The restaurant is pretty big so it’s great for big groups. Went here on a work team lunch, so it was nice it was free! Lunch time and there was a good amount of people. You start with complimentary bread sticks and ranch. Not a combination I’ve ever come across but it was pretty good. I decided on the Chicken Alfredo and added sautéed mushrooms for $ 1.80. that’s a little pricey but I took advantage. You have a choice of soup, salad, or both and price goes up on each, depending on what you choose. I went with salad. All the pastas also come with a piece of garlic bread they bring out first. Bread — I prefer the breadsticks. This was just some butter on a regular piece of toast that wasn’t special or crispy. Salad — Iceburg lettuce isn’t my favorite. includes one slice of pepperoni, beets, and olives. I actually liked their ranch but the salad was just okay. Chicken Alfredo — I’m picky with pasta sauce. I don’t like when it’s too runny or if there’s too much and my dish had both. It was also lacking in flavor, very bland. The chicken was okay. The mushrooms didn’t seem fresh and weren’t really flavorful. It also came with a strawberry! That was probably my favorite part. Service was extremely slow. Our lunch was 1.5 hours even though we ordered within 5 minutes of being seated and ate fairly quickly. You get a generous amount of food but i’m not sure it’s worth it. Not sure if I would come back but if I did, I would probably try the pizza instead.

I agree with others that the service has gone downhill, but take out service is good. The food is not the best you will get, but it is consistent in quality and good value. My favorite is their house salad with ranch dressing and although I dislike thousand island dressing, my mom, sister, and grandma all swear it is the best anywhere.

The positives… Family friendly. There’s plenty of food choices, portions are big, and lots of space for large groups. The staff are friendly, prompt, and above all else provide good customer service. The dining area is clean, menu is priced well. The negatives… Not very authentic. The pastas aren’t as flavourful as other Italian restaurants, but the red sauce dishes, are better than the white. The breadsticks and garlic bread aren’t anything fancy, but they’re good enough as a side dish, and there’s plenty for everyone in the family. Would I recommend this place? Yes, for families wanting a nice affordable meal. No, for a guy(or girl) taking their date out for«fancy authentic Italian».
