Charlies Sports Bar

We met some friends over at Charlie’s for some drinks. It’s about a 7 minute walk from the train which isn’t too bad. I don’t think the place has food, but there’s a decent looking pizza place next door that you can bring slices in from what I saw. Prices are reasonable here and the staff and patrons alike are friendly and entertaining. The space is great too which would be ideal to catch a game. Will definitely be back here.

BRENDA. BRENDA…OH BRENDA! She is utterly magnificent. A gorgeous blonde I have had the absolute pleasure to encounter. She will treat you more than right. She has the humor and the eyes to pour you THE proper shot. A cozy, homely and quite a refreshing type of bar. Anyone who loves to enjoy a drink with a good chat must come here. It was a truly amazing experience after a long and cold night.

This place is great! Bridie the barmaid was so nice and the beer is 3 for $ 10. My wife had $ 5 captain and cokes. It’s a great deal. They have TV’s everywhere with baseball and soccer games on. They told me they have all NFL games in the fall. I will be back there soon!!!

A nice open floor plan allows the customers to not have the bowling alley lane feeling when hanging out for a pint or two, as some of the Queens NY bars are designed with. Full bar if that is your pleasure, nice selection of draft beers and a most bodacious Guinness if I do say so myself.
Here’s a weird confession: I have Never Ordered, or thought to Order food here. With the amount of times I have been here (15ish and counting) I had never looked at a menu nor even had an inkling to do so. I have witnessed a few slices from next door enter good ‘olé Charlies, which may solve my yes/​no food dilemma.
Juke Box allows the user to select just about any genre, but with the remote firmly in Bridie’s grasp the cute little Irish bar in Sunnyside suddenly becomes Roseland’s or L’Amour Brooklyn.
There is not a whole heck more to speak of, but I would recommend, or more specifically Insist anyone on the area who wants to shoot a few games of pool, chuck a frew darts and listen to some tunes, to give Charlies a go.
