Great place for a cheap breakfast. The owner and the waitress are friendly. There’s no hoopla at this place, just plain good cheap breakfast.

One of the very last, neighborhood, family dinners left in Gotham. Right on the cusp of Astoria, Woodside & East Elmhurst and just shy of Jackson Heights. The prices are refreshingly & nostalgically honest, paired equally with all the food served — excellently, deliciously prepared, fresh. The setting is modest & humble, just like everything else about the place. Quiet most of the time. The service is fast and always welcoming. Love the place. Wish I lived closer to it. Cash only. Closed on Sundays. Old-school in every way. Hope they stick around as long as possible. =)

I love this place and I adore Romero. Anything I ask for, I get, even if it is as odd as a side order of pickles. Great food, great people, and much needed in this neighborhood. Go!

Love this local diner. I go there with my two daughters, chef owner Romeo is Great, he has this unbiased charisma with all his customers. Silver dollar pancakes are exquisite, so is his scrambled eggs and burgers. Unpretentious and local joint for classic American fare. Reasonable but Cash only.

Cute local diner. No frills, just a local diner. I live very close and go often enough that the owner/chef knows me and the family. Service is good, they have about ten tables and one waitress. Theres also counter service. Very fast delivery, but limited hours open. I have only been for breakfast, but I know they close early for dinner. highly recommend.

Hi Diana.
Maybe, do you have the Phone number ?
Do you know if the restaurant still exists?
Thank you.

I mentioned this place to my roommate yesterday who said he’s also been here, we both agreed this place is pretty awesome for a local Queens café/grill. It’s still new but it’s authenticity makes it feel like it’s been in the neighborhood forever. The food is simple, good, and right in line with what you’d expect. I’ve only had coffee and breakfast here and noticed it’s been served up faster than the local bagel shop. The portions are satisfying, and there is only one kind of coffee but it’s good. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone I considered even slightly pretentious or hip, they’ll hate it.

Normal greasy spoon with no particular charm or ambience. Service was ok, food was ok, coffee refills slow. Greasiest floor ever.

About the only thing that makes the Globe stand out from the pack is its proximity to my house. So, considering my slothlike nature, it is safe to say that this place has been, and will most likely continue to be, my most frequented destination. Everything here is basically average. Which is not bad. The service can leave alot to be desired, but all in all, it’s not the worst place you can hang your hat for a meal.
