Margaritas were delicious. The restaurant was dead and overpriced.

I ordered delivery from this restaurant. The gentleman advised me they only deliver within 10 blocks from his restaurant. He made an exception for me. I am absolutely grateful for. He traveled all the way to Maspeth for me and my family. Nelson is amazing. The food is also delicious. My kids love it and as do i. I can’t wait to have another meal from this restaurant. Hopefully next time my family can make a trip there. Thank you again for being amazing!

Considering its food, location, and service, this restaurant is pretty good. However, comparing to other Mexican places in this area, I think their price is higher, and their portion of food is smaller. The taste of food(ordered soup and quesadilla) is quite authentic though.

I have to preface by explaining that my phone died so I didn’t have a map on me: even though I used to live in Queens, I made the rookie mistake of assuming that I could walk from 58th and Queens Blvd in Woodside to the 63rd St station on Queens Blvd. On a late July afternoon. Huge mistake… But lucky for me, Taqueria La Hacienda was along this route, and since it was after 4pm, so were their ½ price lemon-lime frozen margueritas. Happy hour and a break from the heat was the draw for me; but the freshness of the drinks and the food got me to IMMEDIATELY go back with my friends and fiancé in tow(seriously; I’ve already been back twice). Pretty much everything here is tasty, the ingredients are authentic(as well as most of the execution) and the staff are above and beyond in their friendliness and generosity. Side note: I charged my phone while eating, so after a marguerita and a mojito, fish tacos and guacamole with tons of fresh cheese, I gave up on walking and ordered an Über.

Two stars for decent tasting food. Between a group of 4, ordered two burritos, and two fish tacos. 45 – 50 mins wait and there was no one else in the restaurant. Chips and salsa are extra around 4 – 5 $. worse than a Manhattan restaurant, and overpriced for no reason. In veggie burrito I asked if it comes with cheese, they said yes, and I told me to add extra. When the burrito came, maybe 2 vegetables in it and stuffed with beans. No cheese, asked for hot sauce, gave us a small like bowl which consisted of about 2 tablespoons of hot sauce between four of us. Never going back.

Pretty good carne asada tacos and chicken quesadilla. Closest place I had so far that resembles places out in LA. They need to work on their green sauce though.

3.5 stars. I love the low key family friendly ambience here. A lot of the Mexican spots on Roosevelt are much more dive bar than restaurant, while I felt right at home like I was back in San Diego here. A but kitschy, but cute. Decent freshly made Mexican. Skip the nachos, the cheese isn’t melted on and even with hot sauce and salsa added they were bland. Go for the guac and chips or chilaquiles instead. Burritos are decent and huge. I wish they grilled the tortilla a bit longer. Enchiladas are good and fresh, not the best ever, but certainly good quality. The tres leches was a bit mealy in texture but had good flavor. The churros were delicious! Free with checkin(but only if you spend $ 50). The prices here are a bit high, so it’s not tough to get to $ 50. Happy hour everyday from 4 – 8 but on margaritas and mojitos only.

I’ve lived in woodside for about a year now. I would always pass this rest. I called it the Car Wash Bc it’s right next door to the Car Wash. So one day me and my bestie decided to go in. It was $ 5 margaritas. And OMG were they delicious and had a nice kick to it. Then we shared the chicken fajitas. Amazing as well. Def going back.

As the other reviews mention, this place is really something else when it comes to the décor. Not outlandish, but not your typical Mexican restaurant. Has a great home feel to it though, yet ornamental enough to feel you’ve walked into another world. We began with some sangria and grapefruit Jarritos. Ordered the Hacienda nachos which looked amazing. Tasted great as well, with a faint kick. Then began our meal with two different entrees, which in my opinion kind of tasted similar though were still delicious nonetheless. My girlfriend ordered the Chilaquiles and I ordered the enchiladas Guadalajara. We both ordered steak and with green sauce. We wrapped up the dinner with some churros that came with a side of ice cream and what it tasted like strawberry syrup. In my opinion, that really sealed the deal for us. It was a perfect match of warm and crispy with cold and creamy. What a dessert to end the night. Overall the service was amazing, our waitress was extremely attentive, and stop by our table just the right amount of times, ensuring we were doing okay without nagging. Interestingly though, we were the only two in the restaurant from about 730 to 9. it felt great to have the whole place to ourselves, along with some candle light at other tables. Love the food, great service, and would definitely love to come back another night. I’m a big fan of Mexican food and this definitely seems worth another visit along with some more adventurous selections on my part.

A very generous 2, and almost certainly a 1 had we paid full freight for the meal. This tasteless(in multiple ways) spot sure has some lofty aspirations for a taqueria next to a gas station amidst body shops along Queens Blvd… They upsell and hover throughout the meal, which is served on fancy plates at inflated prices, because they apparently aren’t too successful at selling the interior AND exterior décor. They insult your ears by blasting both Pitbull AND explicit versions of top 40 garbage, ruining your too-long wait as you try to contort your head to view the TV awkwardly placed above a bar with no counter and obstructed by out-of-place décor. The waiter finally finished upselling us and rushed us out the door, despite no sign of any future patrons that evening, having the audacity to glare at the tip we left ASWEWERESTILLATTHETABLE*. Though mentioned nowhere on the voucher, they only let you use the Amazon Local deal on Mondays & Tuesdays, and harass you about details of the size of your party and ETA if you call, even though you’re the lone table when you arrive(given the Groupon frustration of others, I wasn’t surprised… doubt Unilocal deal purchasers had better luck). The tostadas app was weak, and served simultaneously with the lackluster Torta al pastor and Tacos ranchero entrees. Spare yourself the time, money, and disrespect and have a better, cheaper time and meal elsewhere. *Which was not a viable place to sit for anyone above 5’10″, the too-thick and too-low top making for a bruise-inducing meal.

This restaurant is a little gem hiding next to a gas station on Queens Blvd! We had the tacos rancheros(steak) and pollo quesadillas(chicken) for two and it was enough to feed three. Everything was fresh, filling, and authentic. Service was great as well — our waitress/hostess was sweet and attentive. Prices are very very reasonable, cheap if you consider the quality and quantity of food. Items typically range from $ 9 – 12 each. The décor really transports you back to a time when you are enjoying the simple pleasures of life, like food and family. Place is clean, even their bathrooms, and unique with a rustic and vintage feel. The Q60 bus also runs along Queens Blvd so if you’re craving for a cozy and delicious Mexican meal, take the bus here or park a few blocks south. And yes, they do accept credit cards!

PROS: Interior design/atmoshphere, Good Food/Drinks, service CONS: Parking, Ugly Gas Station outside windows. This place is adorable. The owner has decorated the outside and inside in a smart fashion. It’s interior design/décor captures a colonial Mexican/Southwestern atmosphere that has a very relaxed, casual cozy feel to it. I love the rustic wood furniture that is VERY eclectic(almost no chairs match, but each one has a special character of it’s own) The service was very attentive, friendly and polite(I appreciate being asked if I’m done with a drink even when it is obvious that I am) Me and my partner both ordered different types of tacos. They were executed fine, the meat was cooked properly, not dry. The Guacamole could use a little sea salt and perhaps a bit more lime, but was acceptable.(the experience would be better if they had a fresh salsa or pico de gallo with chips on each table when seated) We ordered fresh pineapple juice that was delicious. I will have to update later about Margaritas(I was a little ill so could not sample on this visit) The price was inexpensive. The music on the outside was more traditional Mexican and mariachi. The music inside was more contemporary Latin music(which is fine, but I prefer the mariachi. It just suites the décor better) Didn’t like the giant windows exposing the ugly gas station next door, it kind of took away from the atmosphere. I would definitely advise that they put up some attractive Mexican/Santa Fe tied up curtains on the sides of each window, to both hide the very concrete busy city area that surrounds as well as enhancing and complimenting the already beautiful rustic interior. Parking is on the street(metered) and at times can be limited. Overall a very relaxed enjoyable experience. I will definitely return again. Hopefully in the evening to sample both their drinks, and take a jab at some of their main entrees. Updates will follow

Great little authentic Mexican gem in Queens. I ordered the guacamole to start off with chips. It was very fresh and hit the spot. As a main entrée, had the enchiladas, they were delicious. Margaritas were strong and piña coladas were on point. Will definitely come back with friends. Prices were not bad either.

This place is pretty fantastic! I’ve ordered twice from there and I and my family have not been disappointed by any of the food! The only thing lacking is the timing of delivery, which takes an excruciatingly long time! But the food is so good, I’m not too bothered by it. I also love the décor of the place, and of the car out front! Next time I eat here I will actually go inside, I’m dying to see how it looks!

Nice atmosphere. Pretty clean too. I love that they have a salsa bar and your choices of hot sauce and sour cream. Your standard mexican tasting food but its great because it’s 24 hrs! Also reasonably priced!

$ 1 tacos! $ 1 tacos! This place only just opened around the holidays with much fanfare in the form of flashing lights and blasting music showcasing the wagon atop the establishment(seriously!). Finally went to check it out tonight(Sunday) at around 7:30. It didn’t seem busy at all. Inside has lots of fun decorations and seating is cafeteria style with big wooden tables and chairs. They were out of chicken so I was more or less limited to 3 types of pork. Ordered 2 carnitas and 2 pastor. Service was much slower than you’d expect for $ 1 tacos next to a gas station, took about 10 minutes for the order. The tacos are wrapped up plain with just the meat of your choice and then there’s a toppings bar by the register with little to go cups. Unfortunately it wasn’t well stocked, though maybe that’s just because it was a slow night and they didn’t want to waste. I didn’t get any, but they have plenty of Mexican beers including some I’ve never seen before, plus Heineken?(random) The staff seem like good people, very friendly and helpful. The girl at the register was taking phone orders so they also might deliver, not sure. The tacos themselves are actually really good. We were happy! Keep the toppings bar better stocked and I would bump them up to 4, even with the wait. They’re $ 1 tacos after all! Pretty tasty and satisfying dinner for ~$ 5.
