OK, Plumber called and admitted he forgot to turn on the water. Knowing this I was able to put a wrench on the valve handle and turn it so it opened. The dishwasher was now functional. What made this difficult was that the dishwasher gave no indication of why it refused to run. The guys with the range returned later in the day. They were able to back the truth into the driveway and install the range. Good. On the way out I walked out to were the stones had been knocked off the wall earlier. Together we were able to put them back in place. The two guys were certainly apoligetic for what happened so all is forgiven.

I researched and priced a new microwave and choose Percy’s as I’ve purchased from them over a number of years and found them to be friendly and helpful. I also value their price match guarantee, which they honored on this microwave(a couple of dollars less expensive at on of the large chains). My only disappointment is that after talking to Percy’s to confirm price that the microwave was not in stock at the store requiring me to return in a few days to pick up. I would have been nice to have been told this when I talk to the sales woman.

I researched purchasing a new refrigerator for months. Finally went to Percy’s to purchase a certain brand with the specs I was looking for. Within a few minutes of talking to Meira about the model I wanted she pointed out that 3 manufactures made the same Refrigerator each at a different price point. Needless to say she saved me over $ 350. on a different brand but it was actually the same spec’ed refrigerator. Put them side by side you could tell they were made identically but with different nametags. I saved over $ 350. and it came with a factory installed ice maker to make it even a better deal. They matched everyone elses price point from any other store by checking online to make sure you are receiving the best deal possible. Simply Percy’s is the place to be in making any appliance purchase for sure. They even got my refrigerator delivered faster than anyone offered also. Best Price with a faster delivery and a very knowledgeable«product specialist» makes for a very pleasant purchasing experience indeed. I went shopping on tax free weekend for items for a new condo in Worcester I had bought and am fixing up. Good and bad here. Sorry to say the pricing for a TV or in general appliances were not too special. In that the website was«call for quote» I went in with an open mind. Washer Dryer got purchased elsewhere, better values daily at Sam’s club for a larger variety of TV’s. The good, I bought 2 queen sized memory foam mattresses and foundations for $ 299 each plus delivery. The salesperson was quick friendly and efficient. The delivery guys were also really great(that’s a hard find, they are keepers). The delivery coordinator not so much. Learning curve for the business, its tax free weekend, engage everybody assuming its not«tire kicking» «just looking» weekend. The delivery guys left such a great impression that I would shop here again.

I own a rental property and one of the tenants had a refrigerator die on a Friday night. I went to Sears Saturday morning, explained the problem UPFRONT to the sales rep, who then proceeded to show me some very expensive refrigerators. I had to go back and measure the space because I wasn’t sure which one would fit, so the sales rep told me that I could place the order over the phone. When I tried calling the order in he forgot to tell me that this was ONLY if I was using a Sears credit card(don’t have one, don’t want one). I went back in to the store to be told that they could not deliver any refrigerator ATALL the next week because the trucks were full — my tenant would have to wait 12 days for a refrigerator. Really? So I went to Percy’s, explained my problem, got offered a very nice floor model with full warranty at a very nice discount. They delivered the refrigerator to my tenant the next day — Sunday! This is a family owned store with a vested interest in making their customers happy. The reps are knowledgable and flexible. It’s my go to store for appliances.

My family has shopped here for years. Mom needed a new dryer. It was easy in and out. The price seemed fair. The furniture is rather tacky but their appliances are quality such as Maytag and Whirlpool. Our sales associate was most helpful.

I went shopping around for a new TV a few months back, I had received some advertisements from Percy’s so I figured I would give them a shot. The place wasn’t super busy but each rep felt the need not to address us. I tried two times to get the attention of two different sales people just to be ignored. The prices were not at all in line with what I considered competitive, they seem to price their items as if you are going to put them on store credit to begin with, so they jack up the price. The unfriendlyness of the sales staff and the out of touch prices convinced me to go else where. Shame because they are a local business and usually I try to support local businesses first before resorting to big box stores.

In an effort to support local I choose Percy’s for my recent appliance purchases and spent over $ 12K only to find they would not accept a return nor would they negotiate an exchange for my smallest purchase item received less than 7 days and still in box. It would have been most appreciated if the salesperson would have communicated their return policy prior to the sale and if management would have given some, or any, consideration to my return request. Sorry but you’ve lost a loyal customer after 15 years of support.
