Since I moved to Metro West I have been using Peterson Oil. They have been fantastic from the original sign up process(monthly delivery) to the full system cleaning I had done. When the tech arrived he was extremely through and took the time to go over the parts of the oil burner and my system. As a new home owner it was nice and refreshing that the tech took the time to go over everything with me and explain to me what I should be looking for when it comes to problems. I have not had any issues with the customer service team members and my phone calls were returned very promptly.

We are on automatic delivery and this is the third time we have run out of oil. Last time they said the trucks were frozen and we were without oil for a day and night. This time we called on Thurs morning to let them know we were running low. We were scheduled for delivery on Friday but they never came. Now it’s a snowy Monday and we are out of oil again. House full of children and pets is cold!

We really liked Peterson when we first moved here, but unfortunately I can no longer recommend them based on their poor customer service. We are not on automatic delivery but rather call when our oil level is low. We called on Monday in anticipation of the snowstorm. We were told it would be impossible to get to us that day due to the impending storm(as we were on the phone with them, a Peterson truck drove by our house). We completely understood, placed our house on the delivery list for Wed and paid for the delivery. Our level is getting lower, and they didn’t come yesterday, so my husband called this morning to find out when to expect the delivery. The lady on the phone told him she«couldn’t make any promises,» and went on to say«it better be dug out or the delivery person won’t even bother.» Totally rude and uncalled for! We had dug it out in anticipation of the delivery. The truck came about half an hour later, which is super! However, as someone who has worked in customer service, I’m unwilling to continue to do business with a company who can’t be polite to their customers. I understand there was a storm and it was tough for us all(we have a handicapped senior citizen and autistic child at home, so it wasn’t fun for us either!), but there’s no need to be rude to your long standing, paying customers. Staff should be trained to be polite in all situations, especially in an industry where weather and emergency issues will always be present. Sorry to say, we will be going elsewhere with our business.

I have been going to peterson for my diesel fill-ups for years since it usually has the lowest price in the Greendale area. Its also full service! Recently I found out that my fuel cap was missing. I went down there and they couldn’t find it. I went into the back office and the lady said she would reimburse me. Emailed her the receipt and the check arrived shortly after. Great experience thank you. The only negative thing I have to say is on the pumps it says do not top off but the guys usually top off to make the closet dollar amount easy. These days most pay with credit cards it doesn’t really matter but if you want them not to top off then make sure you tell them. I do this to obtain my MPG info.
