I could have a choice of a entire full course dinner and I’d turn it down any day of the week for my grinder from Regatta! So yup it’s regatta time and once again not disappointed! Thanks for still being true to who you are and what you’ve always done and stood for

Quick pick up of their classic sub: the regatta. They have ordering down to a science with many for options… Only negative, not a true NY deli.

Our office orders from here sometimes. We always have great food. Today I ordered the hummus/tabouli pocket. Absolutely divine. So healthy and fresh. Get the feta…

The regatta is famous for a reason. $ 5 for a bulky Italian sandwich. The best around. I’ve also tried the steak & cheese and the chicken Caesar wrap… both were delicious. Great place to grab a quick lunch on the go.

Ordered a few sandwiches today and as I was eating my seafood wrap I pulled a long hair out. They should be more careful when they make sandwiches. The hair was very noticeable and was wrapped well into the seafood. Yuck.

These people know how to make some serious deli food! I came here for he first time and the line was enormous, however moved so quickly I was astonished. They are known for their regatta club sandwich which is much like a typical Italian but this one is on steroids and tastes incredible. I however have explored other sandwiches and have yet to be disappointed, from something simple like a turkey wrap to a chicken cutlet with bacon and cheese sub, it never ceases to please. They have a ton of salads and deserts and drinks and chips. Their pasta salad is awesome, light not greasy or loaded with mayo, nice crisp crunches of what j think is celery is a great contrast to the pasta. Their rice pudding is homemade and delicious. Deserts I’ve seen… tiramisu, red velvet, chocolate mousse, chocolate extreme, carrot cake, choc. pudding rice pudding baklava and tapioca! Salads I’ve seen… Antipasto, tuna, Greek, plain fruit, stuffed cabbage, meat and meatless grape leaves potato, pasta Italian, pasta macaroni, aaaand Cuban Everything is super cheap to top it off! Gotta go there.

They make the best sandwiches in the world. I sometimes will go home rt 9 so I can stop and get one or two regatta subs. They’re thick rich and delicious. Anything they make is good. The Italian subs are pre made and ready to go. Best sub in the world.

There are lots of places around the city you can get an Italian grinder. There are more than a few that have them premade, ready to go when you walk in. But there is only one Regatta. I don’t know if they make other sandwiches well. I’ve been told by other people I know that they do. Someday, I may find out for myself. Maybe. Because when the line’s out the door, and you can walk up with $ 6, and have the guy hand you the best Italian sandwich in Worcester without having to wait, you kind of feel like royalty. «Wait on, plebians, whilst I dine on this king of sandwiches.»

Every couple months I end up there again and tell myself, hey could it happen again?, and it does. THEYWILLMESSYOURORDERUPEVERYTIME!!! and whats WORSE, they don’t EVENAPOLOGIZEWHENYOUDRIVEALLTHEWAYBACK. I understand everyone is humans and people make mistakes but this has happened to me over 10 times and not once have they apologized. Not to mention the service sucks from the beginning and all the old ladies talk down to you. The gentlemen behind the counter is the best of the bunch but he’s never said sorry to me either after I drive all the way back. What sucks Is i love mom and pops places like this, but clearly it makes sense why corporate America is taking over with pretentious people like them.

Regatta is my favorite sandwich shop around. Breads baked fresh everyday and is so soft and delicious. Sandwiches are large and filling the bread to meat and veggie ratio is off putting to most but it doesn’t matter when you eat half a sandwich and are full! The regatta club is an awesome deal 5 dollars for an Italian sandwich is great. You can order most sandwich staples here I normally go with the juicy steak and cheese or regatta club but all there sandwiches are great.

Love the Regatta club sandwich, and I’m not a huge fan of ‘Italian meat subs’ in general. Also love that they have the Regatta Clubs pre-made, so it is a very short wait(if that’s what you’re ordering).

The food here is ok, it is a very Worcester thing to serve Italian subs on large portions of Italian loaves, the thick variety not something you would ever find in another sub shop. Don’t get me wrong the food isn’t bad and would be very good if there was a lot less bread! It is cheap and just ok!

This place is awesome for a few reasons… I go here 2 times a week. Monday and Friday. The sandwiches are always great. Great food already means I’ll come back. But the best part is they enjoy what they’re doing. They enjoy bringing these delicious sandwiches to the public. I’d just also like to mention the workers. They take time to get to know us customers. If you go in frequently they learn your name, your usual sub. Everything. There’s nothing better than walking into a packed store and hearing(How are you doing, Anthony?). They’ve taken the time to learn people’s names and get more personal with them and that’s great for any business and should be done more often. I don’t want to buy my sandwich from a subway robot. I want to get it from someone who genuinely enjoys their work and makes the world a better place with awesome sandwiches. Regatta will always have my business.

Probably would give this place 2 ½ stars. Its ok, but severely overrated. The regatta Italian club is fine for the price, but not even close to the best Italian in the area. The bread to filling ratio is silly leaving you wanting more. The chicken fajita sandwich is pretty good, and I would say stick with a wrap or pita if you want a reasonable amount of bread. Recently I tried their chicken parm and it was one of the worst I’ve ever had, chicken was under-fried, bread totally overpowered the sauce, and the cheese was barely melted. Couldn’t even get through it. The service is not as bad as other people had said, they just want to put out sandwiches as quickly as possible. If you don’t know what you are doing it can be a bit intimidating. I suggest looking at Belsito’s or Napoli for a better sub.

The best! You can’t go wrong with a Regatta Deli sub. Lines are a little long but anywhere you see that… The food must be good.

If you want to be in a food coma for the rest of the day, come here! BEST food coma ever. The sandwiches are huge and at a great price, and the fillings are delicious. I am super-picky about meatballs and theirs are some of the best. And the bread. Oh my. An entire half of an Italian loaf for each sandwich. Crazy. This is my go-to when I don’t care about calories or the fact that I’ll need to be rolled home.

Italian sub was good but a little too much bread compared to fillings. Tuna melt was horrible. The cheese was not melted, one side of the bread was burnt and the other side was untoasted.

Worcester has Boston beat when it comes to low-key sandwich shops/delis. The debate in my office that remains unresolved is how Regatta compares to the Bushel ‘n Peck in Greendale– I have to give Regatta the slight edge. Office workers, police officers, construction workers, everyday people flock to this place at lunchtime. Chips and drinks are a la carte but the worst aspect of the place is that there is absolutely no waiting area if there are more than ten customers. Subs are served on a giant slab of fluffy, delicious bread and there are many veggie options, including an above average hummus pocket.
