Very good Mexican food. Wasn’t crazy about the tacos but the quesadillas and wraps are excellent!

I never really got pupusas until I tried the lunch special here after jury duty at the court house. Pupusas in the past have always been too much overcooked/undercooked masa with underwhelming filling. At Talyta’s event the humble cheese pupusa is a sensation. The masa is perfectly blended, proportioned and cooked and the cheese they use is out of this world good. These little cakes of heaven have the perfect blend of richness, tang and warm corn taste. The fresh house made guac is the perfect accompaniment, so much so that I forgot to bother with the salsa roja that also comes with it. If you’re in the mood for the perfect pupusa in Worcester, Talyta’s needs to be on the top of your short list.

Couldn’t be more impressed by this restaurant. Great atmosphere, service and most of all food!!! The prices are also very affordable(less than $ 10) per person and it comes out fresh each time. Because it’s so good you might have to wait a bit for your food during the lunch rush but it’s worth it! Great to see some restaurants popping up downtown in Worcester so there is somewhere to go/something to do near to work.

So far I’ve only had the chicken chimichangas and the pupusas, and they are absolutely delicious. All the food I’ve seen from here looks good. The place is clean, and the staff is very friendly. Highly reccomend!

Finally a good Mexican place in Worcester. Haven’t had a bad meal here and the pork tacos are just incredible. Add to that homemade mexican style chorizo and a mix of salads, burritos, and pupusas like you might find in L.A. and you have a solid authentic mexican experience in downtown Worcester. Oh, and they even have Mana playing on pandora. The space is clean and everything appears to be homemade. The owner and staff go out of their way to treat you well and feed you the best mexican food I’ve had in years

Really good! Burritos are solid but I think the tacos are the star. The steak and pork tacos are amazing. Not much for atmosphere but it doesn’t matter. Food is that good.

Delicious quesadilla– fresh and flavorful ingredients. The chicken was spiced with excellent flavors. Will stop back during my lunch break! The people who work here are all very welcoming.

So friendly! Giant burritos! Delicious food! The horchata is also amazing. Also the hours on Unilocal are wrong… They’re open more often than it says :)

They place is great. Very good traditional food. You will find no Tex-Mex Americanized versions here. The tacos are wonderful. All homemade everything. I highly recommend this place for simple but great food.

Holy smokes! These pupusas blew my socks off! The place was clean, bright and modern. And it was priced good. Under $ 6 for a three pupusa combo plate.

I really, really wanted to love this place. I think Worcester needs it, and the reviews sounded great, so we got a groupon for it and headed over. The woman at the counter was extremely rude to me– saying that she would not honor the coupon because the owner wasn’t there. She then shoved it back at me. When I said I wanted to use it(it was for $ 10 off a $ 30 meal, so not insignificant for me) and could she call the owner to find out how, she said, in spanish(which I speak), «These awful people coming in here and asking for special favors». Finally, a young child that works there said she knew how to do it and could enter the information and the problem was solved. But I really didn’t appreciate the insult. The food was generally good but the guacamole was inedible completely– it must have been made with unripened avocados, had no lime or spices added– I will eat most things even close to good guac but ended up throwing it out. I hope the owner can give the front line staff some customer service training so other people will have a different experience.

Tried it for the first time recently and was impressed. Worcester hasn’t had such an authentic establishment like this since Rosamaria’s in the early ‘90s in Webster Square. I’m looking forward to trying more items from the menu.

Very authentic, great tasting salvadorian/mexican food. A go to place for me and my co-workers for lunch as it is right in the heart of Worcester’s rejuvenated Downtown. Servers are very nice and orders come out quick and hot.

This is a great place to grab a $ 9.00 burrito if you enjoy your burritos filled with rice and beans and nothing else. I gave this place 3 tries until I came to the conclusion I had to leave a review due to the poor food I had received three times in a row. They literally load their food with the secondary ingredients and skimp on the good stuff, for example, the good stuff being any kind of meat. I had a 9 – 1 ratio of rice and beans to meat in all of our food. My pork burritos came with tiny bacon-bit sized pieces of pork I could not even taste and had no sauce or flavor. The papousas were too doughy and cheesy, giving them a play-dough like consistency. Did I mention the awful burritos are $ 9.00?

Talyta’s Café is a welcome change to downtown Worcester. Located right in the city center, directly across from City Hall, there is plenty of parking all around and between that and the speedy turnaround time; Talyta’s is a really convenient place to grab a quick lunch. Beyond convenience, the ambience is also a welcomed addition to downtown Worcester. Most other restaurants in the area are outdated and somewhat uncomfortable, but not Talyta’s. Bright colors, upbeat music and very warm and cheerfully gracious counter help make Talyta’s an enjoyable midday escape. For under $ 6, I got a nice helping of 4 vegetable tacos that were delicious. The soft corn tortillas were very fresh, as were the diced lettuce, salsa fresca, and cilantro. It is rare to get such a bountiful helping of such fresh food, so fast and cheap. Most of the items I saw on the menu are under $ 8. The specials change daily and there is continuously new items being added. Not that there are many options for folks looking for authentic Mexican and Salvadorian food downtown Worcester — but in any case, I highly suggest Talyta’s Café for anyone looking for a good value without compromising atmosphere and quality.
