They expect their back of house staff to show up to work when they are violently ill. That is disgusting and unhygienic.

The harvest salad was the bomb. Staff was FAST and very friendly. If you get a chance check them out.

We’re in town from North Carolina and HAD to get our Dewey’s fix! We miss the Edgar Allen Poe with added prosciuto!

Good pizza. Unusual combinations and quality ingredients. I would recommend skipping reheating leftovers the next day since the pizza tends to fall apart — but it is great when fresh. Our family favorite is the green lantern.

Great pies. Seasonal offerings keep the menu interesting. Also have seasonal beers. Pick two is nice option as an opportunity to try different combos. Staff at this location is always extremely friendly and service is good. The only challenge in Worthington is finding parking. For a great experience get a pizza to go and enjoy it across the street at house wine.

Was pretty excited walking in to Dewey’s. The place looks cool. Little bar right up front… you can see them making pizzas through the window. Nice. Looks like a nice patio too, for warmer weather! Decided to play the safe card… Pepperoni and Bacon. First time at any new pizza place and that is my typical go-to. A table nearby looked to have gotten a white pizza or something that looked and smelled amazing. The go-to we got wasn’t so great. Crust was good… like an Aunti Annes pretzel in a way. Sauce seemed too out of a can… kind of sweet, which clashes with the somewhat sweet crust in a bad way. Pepparoni was bland, and the bacon(what little was there) was something like I get out a bag of pre-crumbled stuff at the grocery store.

Barely Melted Cheese + Super Thin Crust = Floppy Pizza. We ordered a Killer Veggie and the cheese was just melted, not brown at all. Firstly, that means that the pizza slice didn’t come off the cardboard round they serve it on(cheap and wasteful, in my opinion!) easily – each slice stuck to the cardboard and was followed by long tentacles of cheese that refused to submit to my will! Since they don’t give you a spatula, good luck with that. Secondly, the barely melted cheese thing means the pizza is just a little bit gaggy going down. I know you know what I mean!!! Probably the barely melted cheese problem has to do with the thinness of the dough. If it hadn’t been rolled so thin, maybe it could have been in the oven longer, but as it was, the crust and underside were relatively brown. Cooking it longer would have resulted in a burnt crust probably. So the pizza is floppy and the toppings fall off. We still ate it all and it was okay. Decent coffee, excellent service, lots of parking nearby. Nice patio.

While I find this restaurant a bit tight and a bit loud, it’s also a great place to run into friends and neighbors, to have a nice cold beer while you wait for your table, to have your kids entertained watching the pizza makers start with a ball of dough and toss it into round deliciousness, and, oh yeah, to have great pizza! My favorite is the Edgar Allen Poe, with toppings of olives, garlic cloves, tomato bites, and feta cheese so good that I share little if it, even of the leftovers. My daughter and her friend ordered the classic cheese, and talked at length about how this crust beat all the others in town(and we have our share of pizza places in this small area). Overall I would give this place a high rating for the food, and for the service as well as the wait staff always appear well trained and ready to make your meal experience a good one.

First time to Dewey’s — had a decent visit, but wasn’t blown away by any means. I will say, we didn’t have a pizza, so maybe we’re just totally missing out, but did have a calzone and a salad. Both were very good and cheaper than the pizzas. There were no Happy Hour deals or drink specials from the bar. I just think it’s nice to offer some sort of special — especially for a weekday night before 7pm. They have a «team serving» process, but it still took a while for us to get our waters. Also, they have one TV, but it’s in a really odd location that nobody can really see. There’s a nice blank wall above the bar — maybe you could move it up there?

The house salad was excellent. The goat cheese, pine nuts and craisins were a great combination with their house balsamic. More like a dijon balsamic. Lightly coated. Perfect. The pizza was okay. We ordered the meatball and a Bronx Bomber. Waited quite a while for it. Not sure why it took so long to get to us — there were only a few customers there. It was warm“ish”, not hot at all. Friendly staff. I probably wouldn’t go back to this location, but would be willing to try Grandview if someone I was with really, really wanted to go. I would just order a salad.

Great place to eat for groups. Customer service is based on teams and this provides quality. Better than most pizza based restaurants. We would like more TVs but forces us to interact as a group. Pizza was spot on. Will come again.

Went to Dewey’s today for a staff lunch before painting at The Party Studio. It was a solid selection. One of my co-workers had called ahead to make a reservation. We were seated in a large table in the middle of the restaurant. We ended up having one more person than was originally anticipated, and the servers were quick to bring over another table and chairs for us, which was nice! We decided to split some pizzas and salads. Our server was extremely helpful — we were going to order 3 large but she told us that would probably be too much. I personally only tried the Edgar Allen Poe, but we also ordered the Dr. Dre, Southwest BBQ chicken, and veggie. We were able to split one of the pizzas into two varieties(the Edgar Allen Poe and Dr. Dre), which was convenient. As for the salads, we had the Greek, Caesar, and Harvest. I tried all of them, and they were very good! I wasn’t crazy about the dressing on the Greek salad, but it was still a good salad. Our servers were very good about keeping our glasses filled and replacing plates if necessary. Honestly, I’ve been hearing a lot of good things about Dewey’s for a long time(even when I lived in Cleveland and there was a Dewey’s up there). But compared to other pizza in the area, it was just okay in my book. Still, our customer service was really great, and the restaurant has a cool vibe to it — located in Olde Worthington, it’s in a really cool area, and it has ample seating yet feels small and quaint. Would I be opposed to going again? No. Would I suggest going back? Also probably not. Still, it’s not bad by any stretch of the imagination, and maybe worth a visit once in a while.

We went here after having fun at Highball and found it to be very nice. We were greeted and seated very quickly(I and a young child found it interesting to stare through the window watching them make the pizzas). Our server was incredibly nice and even the manager that night came by and checked to see if our food was alright. The salad I ordered was very good and while the crust on the pizza wasn’t as thin or crispy as I would’ve like the toppings were great. Seriously! Globs of good fresh mozzarella and nice chunks of sausage! Prices weren’t bad — rather standard for places like this(meaning a large pie starts around $ 22) AND they have boxes for taking home leftovers ;)

I really love this place. The atmosphere is so wonderful for a pizza place, first off. I mean it actually has a romantic tinge to it. The bar is small but also very quaint and the bartender(s) have always been friendly and warm. A plus about Deweys if you go right now, at night, the place lights up with the Christmas lights in Olde Worthington so it just adds to atmosphere. I love everything about their pizza, from crust to toppings. Last night I had the veggie and as usually, spot on! I also enjoyed their seasonal salad that had pumpkin seeds and figs and it was very tasty as well. It’s a wonderful place to go and have pizza and a pint. I highly recommend! The end.

I’ve known Dewey’s Pizza since my days in Cincinnati as an undergrad. Their pizza is always top quality, but their service at this location is especially notable. We were seated and taken care of quickly for our drink orders. The special sounded delicious(fig jam, gorgonzola, carmelized onions, and prosciutto!) but I wasn’t feeling a whole pizza, so I asked if they could make that into a calzone, and YES they could! Not only did our waiter continue to check up on us, but there was another staff member(manager maybe?) who checked in once or twice to make sure our food was superb and our service was top of the line. Great experience all around. Delicious pizza. Oh, and get the house-made ranch dressing. It’s amazing!

I ordered the Candied Walnut and Grape side salad it was fresh and was very big for being a side salad. I also had a pepperoni and«mushroom mix» pie. The pizza was very good. The pepperoni was a little spicy but had a good flavor. The service may have been the best part of the meal! Our server was very attentive and knowledgable. I recommend this place and will be back soon!

Creative salads, unique pizzas, and outstanding customer service merit a firm 5 stars from me. When our large Killer Veggie pizza was delivered we were informed that they were in the process of making us ANOTHER pizza, free of charge, as the current one had a few holes. They wanted to provide us with the«holey» one to satiate our hunger but insisted on also delivering a perfect product. Honestly, the holes were not a problem at all and did not diminish my enjoyment of the pizza. However I am appreciative of the management and their commitment to good quality. We’ll now be eating pizza for the next week and enjoying every second!

I saw this place being built 6 weeks ago while driving on High Street and read up on the reviews of the other store, which were really good, and knew I had to try it. So I convinced my girlfriend to bypass going once again to one of our typical pizza haunts and went down on a Saturday afternoon about 2pm on a Buckeye bye week to get some pizza. The place was nearly deserted with only one or two other tables in use. Not sure why it was so dead, perhaps it was because of when we came in or maybe it’s because the Buckeyes weren’t playing but it’s a bit disconcernting to see a restaurant nearly empty, makes you wonder about their food. Anyways, we ordered two small pizzas, one Meatball and one Ryan’s Inferno(buffalo chicken). The waiter suggested we save a bit of money and just get a large and do half-half which would also get us more pizza. I was really appreciative of him letting us know that rather than just placing the orders as it’s always better to get more pizza for less money! After about 10 – 15 minutes a HUGE pizza came out that looked delicious. The meatballs on the pizza were large and tasty, very good quality meat and the cheese was great tasting. It may look like from the picture I posted that the cheese wasn’t plentiful enough but it actually was great and plentiful. The other side of the pizza was Ryan’s Inferno, a buffalo chicken whitesauce pizza. I was a bit skeptical seeing as it had celery on it but lo and behold they did a wonderful job with it. The celery was added after the pizza cooked so it was not hot and it was diced very small and didn’t overwhelm the taste of the pizza. The sauce was just a hint of garlic and the chicken was of mild-slightly medium heat, not really all that spicy so most people will be ok with it. I went back and forth which side I liked best, leaning slightly towards the more traditional meatball but after eating the leftovers the next day I really think they were both fantastic. All in all this place was very good, a great gourmet pizza experience. It’s not the traditional meat and sauce, huge pizza place but rather a more unique dining experience. I’ve not had a lot of gourmet type pizza and sometimes think it can be a bit pretentious and/or «weird» but this place suits me just fine, I think they could make you a traditional pizza or a more exotic creation either one and it’d be delicious. Highly recommended that everyone who is a pizza fan get down here and try this place out. The only thing that worries me is the utter lack of business on a bright and beautiful Saturday afternoon but then this place is new so maybe it just needs time to build a user base. Check it out, you won’t be disappointed!
