Marcello’s Pizza

Have been here many times for lunch and of all the places in town they are the best hands down. The folks working are pleasant and polite. The food was delicious. Pizza has great flavor, wings are alright, and sub sandwiches are fantastic. Overall a great place.

Tried out the pizza place for the first time. I called in an order for pickup. The person answering the phone didn’t seem to know the computer system too well and it took some time to order a large plain, veggie and pepperoni — items that you would have thought easy to order. I forgot to order breadsticks so I called back. I was surprised to find that they cost $ 6 for an order of plain breadsticks, but maybe they would be spectacular or something.
I was about 10 minutes late for pickup. My fault but the pizza boxes just didn’t seem that hot when I got there. I asked for napkins and got pointed to the one at a time dispenser, kind of dumb when they could handed me a stack for 10 people.
When i put the pizza in my truck there was a strange smell. It wasn’t pizza, it turned out to be the pizza boxes. Kind of like wet socks. The pizza flavor was ok but all 3 of them had raw dough in the middle. Disappointing — hence the 2 stars. The breadsticks were a bit of a joke. An order of 6 dried out torpedoes of bread with a cup of sauce. Overpriced because the quality was so low. 2 orders cost more than a large cheese pizza! I’ll pass on going there again.

I am so glad that the restaurant is Marcello’s again. Past negative reviews, most likely were for the short time that it was Giambanco Bros. Now that the restaurant is back in the right hands, the food is back to being great! The pizza is the best in the area, in my opinion. The wings are good, too. The staff is very friendly.

Love this pizza. They are not stingy with the toppings or cheese. Subs are good too. The manager is really great and friendly. They deliver where most places will not. Yummy food.

Changed hands now called Giambancos thought that I would give it a second try Marcello’s used to be .just okay. Ordered an italian sub and sausage parmesan sub. Italian sub was light on the meat and parmesan sub was made up of little sausage pellets… Disgusting.

Service is not good for dine in purposes. Pizza is probably the worst out of any of the pizza restaurants in Wrightsville. Would not recommend.

I found Marcello’s Pizza very bland. The sauce was especially blah. Nice amount of cheese & toppings, tho.
