The hands down best pizza on the planet! Have loved this place and the family for years. Everything is fresh and delicious. Biggest problem is that you eat too much!

Pizza City is the Capital of Pizzatropolis. It’s an independent nation. You probably never heard of it. Listen, getting good pizza in the suburbs can sometimes be a discouraging undertaking. Hard-working americans are subjected to the ordering from the likes of Papa John’s, Domino’s, Pizza Hut, or even(gasp) Little Caesars. I’m here to tell you that if you live locally, you don’t have to put yourself and your family through that experience. If you’ve consistently been eating pizza from national chains, I would like to offer you this virtual hug and words of encouragement: «It gets better.» Pizza City is family-owned, and they treat just about every customer like a family friend. They get excited to meet & feed their new friends. Sometimes you’ll see Tony’s very italian grandmother pittering around, looking like Sophie from Golden Girls, just as cute as she wants to be. I haven’t even talked about the pizza and the rest of the food. It’s wonderful. It goes with your mouth like teenagers and snapchat. Like college students and cheap beer. If there was crime here like in New York, the Ninja Turtles would relocate so they could have the pizza. If someone you know lives locally and they pick up their phone to call a chain pizza place, immediately slap their phone out of their hand. Even if their screen cracks, they will thank you once they’ve tasted Pizza City.

Local place. You can taste the freshness in the pizza. Friendly people — while this was my first time, you can tell the owner knew his regulars by name. I’m not adventurous with my food but the cheese pizza was delicious. The crust, cheese and sauce were great. Definitely coming back. Prices are very very reasonable.

My husband and myself stopped in for lunch. It was later in the afternoon and Tony’s mom was there and eating there with her and Tony there he said felt like 1965 all over again. The food is ALWAYSFRESH&HOT, no matter what you choose. His food is so good several area schools offer it as a lunch option for students. Always an enjoyable meal, good conversation, and good company. You need to try what they offer, no place better on the planet.

Having my go to pizza place makes me feel like a mom for real! As a kid our pizza place was«New Station» in Brookhaven. I remember my mom would always have their number scribbled on an index card under a magnet on the frig! Whenever it was time to order, I’d grab that index card and head over to the rotary phone(we had a really cute baby blue one … Eventually we got a cordless) and called to place our order! Now as a mom with my own house, refrigerator, box of index cards and iPhone … Tony’s has become our go to pizza spot! Their sausage pizza is my fave and their delivery is super fast!!!

Ordered food to be delivered and they say 40 mins and it takes a 1 ½ for delivery. They forget some food and go back and it’s ice cold when they get back. My daughters food was burnt and not even what she ordered on it. Tonys use to be great but has gone down hill. What a shame use 2 love this place.

Unilocal, you failed me. I don’t know what planet these reviewers are living on but this pizza is pretty okay, maybe even not very good. It’s entirely too thick and doughy with very little topping. I was seeking that mythical Northern Suburbs decent pizza place and was HUGELY let down once again. For the record, it tastes pretty good and the service was great. But my god, this is not exceptional pizza.

I’m not from the area and wanted to get some lunch. Cheap, fast, and great food! The service alone is enough to come back.

Just moved to Wyndmoor, from the other side of Cheltenham, own my own little restaurant in Glenside, and am so happy to have found this wonderful little family owned business, with pizza that reminds me of the pizza I used to get when I was a teenager. Hardly anyone makes pizza dough like this anymore. don’t need to order pizza from anywhere else!

Great local pizza place in Wyndmoor, and their pizza has gotten significantly better in the past 18 months. Excellent crust, and delicious sauce. All made by Tony himself.

I LOVE this place! They have the BEST pizzas around, hands down! The dough is hand tossed and the recipe is passed down straight from the Italian grandmother’s family. I heart it. They have a fabulous selection of delicious pizzas, but I keep going back for bacon/sausage pizzas. They are usually ready within 20 minutes. They do deliver, but it’s usually easy enough to pick up. The staff is extremely friendly. It is really easy to become a regular!

Nice ppl don’t serve slices really good pizza!!! I was parked in Rocco’s lot while my husband and a few of the children were getting water ice I went with 2 of the other children to get slices. They don’t sell slices bummer so I decided to get a whole pie one of the best decisions I’ve made. The owner suspected I may have a hard time crossing the street so he made his son help me across the street with my kids and the pizza awesome customer service!!!

Tony and his crew have my confidence vote. I know that if I order a pizza, it’s going to be exactly what I expected. While delivery can take a little longer than I want, when it arrives, it’s still hot and delicious. There is plenty of cheese and not the cheap rubbery or greasy kind. The sauce is the way I like it, with a little tang.(is that a word?). They don’t skimp on the toppings, unlike other shops, so I like experimenting with combinations without feeling like I am wasting money. The chicken club is a great combo to try, BTW. Delivery staff is the best too!

What’s not to love at Tony’s Pizza City. Friendly service, great food, great pizza and the best fries! I love their fries and pizza. They know you by name and always say hi. Tony and whoever else is working there is always polite, friendly, and engaging. They don’t say, what would you like to order or how can I help you. They say Hi! how are you today? and what can I get for you today? Its evident they care who their customers are and like to do more than just serve you food. Its why they are always busy and people are always coming back. That and great food! If you do takeout its a normal wait time about 20 mins(except those rainy weekend nights when they are super busy because no one wants to go out, its maybe 30 minutes) This I do not mind because the pizza is not pre-made or cooked halfway and then finished off for the orders. Everything is tossed and made to order. It’s why it tastes so fresh. Delivery can be a little longer, but its worth it. Especially on that rainy weekend night when you don’t feel like cooking! They are a small shop with probably only 1 delivery guy so expect a 45 min time frame for delivery. Maybe an hr on that busy weekend. If you know then its not a big deal. If i’m that hungry and want Tonys then I’ll go get it myself. I just think the wait is a testament to how good it is because obviously everyone else knows or you wouldn’t have to wait that long. The Crust: is thin and loaded with cheese and a tasty sauce. Its a little crunchy but not too thin where its crispy crunchy. Just a little bit so it has another texture. It has enough thickness to it though that you also get a little chewy in the outer rim area. It’s also a little light and fluffy tasting, not heavy. I don’t know how to really put it into words, but you should try it out. The red sauce is tangy, little sweet, garlic, basil in the right combination. Not too much of anything. The sauce is what makes or breaks a pizza in my opinion. I rank Tonys up there there with Sam’s pizza on 26th and the Boardwalk in North Wildwood. If you have not tried Tony’s yet, call him and get a pizza! Don’t forget to order fries. They are better than McDonalds!!!

K Pizza City is awesome. Tony’s been running this place for at least 25 years(because I remember going here as a real little kid) and his cheesesteaks and pizza are SOLID. I try to get over there every time I go home to Philly, it’s worth it. Definitely a neighborhood place, so after you’ve been in a few times, he’ll know you by name. :)
