I honestly do not know how this place got such good reviews. In the first place, the wait staff is awful. Yes, they’re nice, but they don’t come to refill your drinks and it takes them FOREVER to take order, bring food etc. Everyone seemed very confused and when out food finally came, they brought my dish about ten minutes before the rest of my family. Our trip there took a little over two hours… Because we had to wait so long! Also, they had multiple people helping us(which probably added to the confusion) one of which was a young woman wearing short shorts and a bare midriff top which was so unprofessional! Besides the service being bad, the food was terrible! The BBQ pork was super dry despite being recommended as one of «their best dishes» by the waitress. The fried rice was weird too. The egg rolls were sickeningly greasy. The poor food combined with the terrible service is enough to keep me away!

If you like great tasting fresh food from a clean establishment this is Not a place to go! Cold, old, freezer fresh, tastless, stale and dirty are just a few of the words that come to mind when I think of this place. Don’t waste money on this poor excuse for a restaurant.

I absolutely love this restaurant! George is so fun! This is one of yakima’s secrets! The side salad is amazing! The fried oysters yummmmm and the teriyaki New York steak are my recommendations. My mouth is watering right now just thinking about keokis.

Looking for a great family restaurant? This place is a good place to visit. The entire staff is great, especially the chef and owner. I recomment the pork chow mein btw. One hidden secret about this place is its homemade salad dressing. This dressing, I feel, can give other big name brands a good fight.

This is the worst food I have EVER had in my life. It is completely void of flavor. As the food cools it tastes like grease. If I could get my money back and be able to return the food, I would certainly take it back. DISGUSTING… dang it, I am angry that I wasted $ 10 on this garbage, literally. I did not order seafood, but that it what was in my so called pork chow mien, it was so nasty. I have to brush my teeth to get that terrible experience from my mouth.

This is one of Yakima’s little secrets… Very darling place, impeccable service & a bar where you can surround the head chef and watch your meal being made! Surprisingly I was told by several different people to try the steak that it was the best they had in town, and it was not a dissapointment! He’ll prepare it exactly to your liking, I had mine with ginger and garlic and ate every bite which is surprising to me. Plus they make very good and inexpensive cocktails. I go there at least once a month, usually by myself but thats how I roll…

When I was little, my parents were friends of the owners here, and we probably came here a couple times a month the entire time we lived in Yakima. At that time, I didn’t like Asian food, but I could stomach this place, and I really liked their house salad dressing. Little has changed, except that I developed a taste for the food when I was in college. The current owner, as I understand it, was the cook when we lived here, but everything else is the same — the menu, the dressing, the décor, right down to the plates, there’s nothing new. That might make it look a little retro on first glance(but that’s cool now, isn’t it?). The menu is largely Japanese, with a bit of Polynesian influence, and it’s still well done. They often work at the open grill in the middle of the restaurant, which I like. I loved it when I was a kid, because the cook was good with a knife and a bit of a showman. Now, I just like being able to watch the guy who handles my food. It’s largely a family-run restaurant so the staff has an interest in keeping you happy and it shows. The food is quite good, top to bottom, and if the owner is cooking I have to recommend the teriyaki steak. It’s outstanding. The restaurant is a little tough to find, it’s tucked into a corner of an old shopping center, off the road and in a hole. My only complaint is their limited hours. I visit Yakima frequently for work, and I’d love to stop here more often, but most of the time when I stop here it’s closed. But, if you manage to catch them when they are open, it’s well worth the stop.
