Overall I thought it’s a good place, came here a few time with friends for sporting clays and trap shooting.

A few years back, this was a great place to enjoy a day of sporting clays. However, in the last year or so, it has gone severely down hill. I will never return. Let me explain why. My most recent visit was on Sunday, 1.3.16. It seemed that at least half of the sporting stations were closed, and of those that were working, many had issues. The worst part of experiwnce was how overcrowded tne place was. The range operator allowed far too many shooters onto the sporting clays range. Every station had a 15 or 20 minute wait. There were also a few groups of shooters driving around recklessly in carts from station to station, jumping ahead of people, looking for stations with the shortest wait time. It was an absolutely awful experience. I Will never return to this facility.

Never have had to wait to long to get on. Gun rentals. Grills to BBQ. Knowledgable and friendly staff. Could have a nice lounge to hangout in.

I’ve been going here every year for the last 6 years. I’ve done the skeet shooting but primarily I like to do the sporting clays. When doing the sporting clays, you visit different stations around a huge field. Each station has two launchers that project the clays at different angles, vectors and velocities. It is a lot of fun! I’ve gone with adult family, my 16 year old daughter and work friends, all a good time. You have the option of renting a 12 or 20 gauge(over and under or semi) or bringing your own. Also, golf carts can be rented which is recommended. I also recommend buying your own target shells as it will be cheaper. For a couple hours for a couple people doing sporting clays, renting their gun and a golf cart, paying for the clays that you use but bringing your own shells, expect to pay around $ 90– $ 100.

Some friends and I went to shoot here, while we were vising friends on the island. We showed up about 10AM, but we happened to be there when a huge group was there, so we had to wait about 2.5 hours before we could shoot. The staff in the pro shop wasn’t the most polite, so that’s –1 star. We had a wife and girlfriend in our group, who were somewhat petite, so luckily the staff was able to find a short LoP 20 gauge for them to use, while my buddy and I got a full-size 12 gauge. Their guns weren’t very well maintained, with their chokes being pretty much destroyed, and the ejectors on our 12g were sticky, as was the breach action. –1 star Their course was laid out pretty decently, the markers for the stations for clay disk were marked well enough, and the course lead through the woods, firing into the center of the field. They had a nice mix of rabbits, flyers, discs going away, and towards you. An average experience, and for being the only field to shoot clays, around where we were on the island, wasn’t so bad. They did end up charging us for more discs than they should have, since we kept a tally of broken discs, but their«+/-4%» broken calculation was way too conservative for what was broken. We should have had more clays discounted from what was charged.
