This place is very good! The pies are cut in a very strange way and can sometimes be very sloppy to eat — we almost never went back a 2nd time because of that but I’m glad we did. They’re regular pies are good(not amazing) but their toppings make it them the best pies around — I love their pies w/Sausage & Onion… Their clam pies are very good too. a little dry but very different and tasty — the crust on these pies are usually an inch or more so I wish they would be a little more generous with the clams but otherwise this place is a place that will make you crave your favorite topped pie.

This place is overrated! I’m a pizza connoisseur, particularly around thin crust pizzas and I heard rave reviews about Frank Pepe’s. The pizza came out and wasn’t cooked evenly: one side was well done, the other side not so much. The roasted red peppers were not peeled. And this is after reading a whole spiel about how great the peppers are and their homemade! The cheese was greasy there was tons of oil all over the pizza. I’ve been to John’s on Bleecker, Grimaldi’s, Patsy’s & il Bacio etc. I want to add that we came during lunch time and it wasn’t so busy, so they had ample chance to make a superb pizza.

Pepe’s consistently delivers a quality product and experience. The pizza occupies the line between traditional and artisanal, ie. special but without pretentions. If you like clams even a little you have to try that pie.

WoW they have a fabulous Pepperoni pizza, MUSTTRY! It was different, but zesty &OHHH so good! Margherita was also quite good, we ordered it with easy sauce & extra cheese which was good for us but the Basil was a bit fried & I think they should add it in last or for only last five minutes cause I couldn’t taste it. Lots has to do with their killer hot coal ovens which makes a very nice pie!

love pepe’s pizza. been here plenty of times and it never disappoints. my husband and I both enjoy the classic cheese the most. sometimes a classic is just done right and is simply perfection. the service is great as well and the overall atmosphere is just nice, simple, and casual.

I’d always heard good things about Pepe’s from friends but I hadn’t gotten a chance to try it until recently. It was ABSOLUTELYAMAZING! I’m new to the New Haven style Pizza but it was some of the best(of any style) that I’ve ever had. If I’m ever back in New York(or New Haven) I know where I’m going.

If you want good brick oven pizza… come here!!! The pies are made when ordered so expect to wait once you’re seated. But the wait is well worth it! Keep in mind they don’t serve by the slice. We ordered a small margarita which feeds two people just fine. It has 8 small slices. The crust was thin but not too thin. The sauce was tasty and did not overwhelm the rest of the toppings. The place is very old school. Lots of subway tile and the best part is a big pile of coal on the floor of the open kitchen. There menu includes pizza, salads and beverages! That it! And it’s delicious!!! Pros: Great family place. Delicious pizza. Great prices. Cons: Tends to get loud. Don’t sell slices. Limited menu. I definitely recommend and would be coming back!

The clam pizza is pretty tasty, if you eat it there. The first time I ate here the clam pizza was fresh and clams weren’t chewy at all. Service was lacking especially in water refills, and our second pie, nothing fancy was brought out later than the clam by at least 5 min. The second time, a week later, we did take out of a clam pizza and the experience was totally different. Clams were chewy, pizza didn’t feel very hot when I picked it up and the girl at the counter rolled her eyes at me when I asked for my change. Sorry but I’m not going to leave a tip for a pick up service that left me hanging around since no one was at the counter. Note: if you take out a large pizza their boxes aren’t big enough so there will be overlapping slices and they cut it into rectangle slices.

Guys, I hate Pizza. That’s my number one confession. I hate Pizza, I hate Italian food… And before you send me terrible messages as to why… Let me explain: When I was a young girl, in my country(Venezuela), I grew up around many Italian people. My family made Italian food EVERYSINGLEDAY. And guess what happened? I began to dislike it… I ate pizza on the weekends and pasta with seafood, beef, chicken, tuna… GOD I DONTWANTANYMOREPASTA!!! But!!! BUTT!!! Frank Pepe, I gotta let you know that your damn pizza, is the best I’ve had since I was a little kid. The clam pizza really touched me deep inside… Thank you for letting me know how great pizza can really be! Now for the rest of you guys, COMETHEHELLHEREANDEATTHATSHIAT!

After visiting this particular location over 10 times over the past 2 years, I feel like the pizza just isn’t that good. There is no question that the pizza doesn’t even come close to the original but the original mozzarella and the margarita we ordered today just weren’t good. The pies were pretty thick and fairly tasteless. Service is great but it ends there. The soda was even watered down which was strange. Unfortunately I don’t know if we will be coming back.

This place is 4 star food with 2 star service. We came here twice for lunch. The first time we asked which size pie is good for 2 people and the woman replied with a medium pie. The medium pie is huge(16 inches)! It might be good for 2 people with huge appetites. The second time we learned our lesson and went with the small which was perfect for 2 people. The small is 12 inches. Both times we had the spinach, mushroom, and gorgonzola pizza. Both times the pizza arrived very hot but quickly cooled down because of the air. That is fine as long as it arrives very hot. I hate it when food arrives cold. The servers move very slowly and never refilled our waters. It was unpleasant eating salty pizza when you are thirsty. All honesty, I think the place can be converted to fast casual and do away with the servers. The way the servers behave I don’t think they want to be there anyway.

This pizza is the best pizza in Westchester no doubt about it! I consider myself to be plain vanilla type of girl however most of their toppings are just great. The bacon is incredible, the onions and peppers delicious, their plain cheese lightly baked is impeccable! I’ve had the New Haven and Fairfield Frank Pepes and maybe New Havens tastes a little better other than that they all have the same decadence. I’m very happy to live so close for the convenience of picking up since they do not deliver. The service is not great there. I’ve done the whole sit down and eat here thing it was blah. As of picking up; The kids working the front are just kids. They just want to get you in and out the doors. I mean my sole purpose is getting good fresh pizza so I don’t care about the lack of service. The pizza gets a 4 star not the service in this case.

What can I say… It’s Pepe’s! Growing up in Connecticut Pepe’s was so familiar to us. I’ve waited in line in New Haven and loved it when they expanded to other locations. When they opened in Yonkers I was so excited. People here don’t realize what a goldmine they have. Pepe’s is an institution and so many people still don’t know who they are. The look, feel and food is almost as good as the original, but can never be the same. The place is newer and feels it. But who cares? The crust is that same chewy, charred, crispy masterpiece, and the sauce is as good as always.

Frank Pepe’s is just great pizza. Toppings are the freshest that I have had, especially the pepperoni(very thick and spicy). Tonight we got pizzas for take out; toppings included pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, and peppers. All very fresh and flavorful. A nice thin crust, great sauce, and oddly shaped slices add to the charm of Frank Pepe’s. The parking situation is very tricky at the Yonkers location. It’s a very small and odd shaped lot. Pepe’s is almost always packed, which adds to the parking dilemma. But trust me, the pizza is worth the hassle. I am really hoping that they open a Pepe’s location in South Jersey where I live; we could use a pizza place of their caliber down there! I highly recommend Frank Pepe’s!!!

A little disappointed. Came into town on business and remembered the white clam pizza at Pepe’s in New Haven. There the clams were finely chopped into small pieces with just enough oil as to not make the pie soggy but perfectly crisp to the point where you didn’t want to put it down. I was hoping for the same at the Pepe’s in Yonkers but it didn’t happen. The clams were very large, though there were plenty of them. The pie was soggy from a combination of too much oil and being a little undercooked. The white clam experience I was waiting for all day was completely shot down after a few small pieces. Next time I have the desire for white clam pizza from Pepe’s, i will be taking the trip to the original in New Haven and you may want to do the same. The wait staff were very nice and attentive, which is always a plus with any restaurant. Again, if you have the burning desire for a Frank Pepe’s white clam pizza, don’t settle, head to New Haven.

Friendly people. The pizza is very delicious. I highly recommend the white clams and pepperoni pizza. There original cheese pizza is just as good as the other pizza. The Yonkers location is very convenient. Hope they open up more around westchester or NY.

To my Connecticut Frank Pepe compadres, Yonkers Pepe’s is always way saltier than all the other CT Pepe’s. Maybe it’s the Yonkers water? Maybe it’s the clams they use? Whatever it is I hope they figure it out bc every time I eat the Yonkers Pepe, we are so parched afterwards. Doesn’t happen at the Pepe’s in New Haven, Fairfield, Mohegan, etc. I love their clam garlic pizza. It’s always great! Clams are fresh. If they don’t have any fresh clams, the shrimp is a great substitute. To ownership, 1) figure out why Yonkers is always saltier… 2) please open a Pepe’s in NJ or NYC. We need you here.

I’ve been here many times now and I have yet to have a bad experience. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. I’m about half and half as far as takeout and eating inside the restaurant. For takeout, I preheat my oven and throw a pie in for a couple of minutes. This makes the crust a little crispier and, in my opinion, slightly better. The pizza is great in the restaurant also, but I prefer takeout just for the added crispiness. My favorite thing about their pizza is the sauce. It has a really fresh tomato flavor, and I’ve yet to come across anyone who has a similar sauce. I’ve tried the white clam, the margherita, the spinich, mushroom and gorgonzola, the original with mushroom, and just a plain old original with mozzarella. The clam is pretty decent, but in my opinion there are some places in the city that do a better job with the clam. However, hands down, the plain original with mozzarella is my favorite plain pizza, these guys nail it and that’s where the 5 star review comes from. If I had a good week and I want to reward myself, my ideal meal from here is a large original with mozzarella, a pitcher of Peroni and some fresh grated parmesan mix cheese.

Love the margherita pizza here. Service is quick although I got the anxious impatient vibe from the server when she had to wait for my partner to decide on a beverage. The place was busy but not packed, there were several booths and tables open. Drinks and pizza came out in a timely manner, we ordered margherita with extra cheese and pepperoni. Nothing to complain about there! We got the medium and between to fatties and a 2 year old we killed the whole pie! Hehe in my defense they are very thin slices Only thing that was a tad off putting was when the server came to ask us if we would like a soda refill and it went something like this; «would you like a refill?(We say yes) «and the check?» As she nods her head. The rushed tone and the way I took it sounded more like a statement than a question made me feel like I was being rushed out. I get it, we were almost done with our pie but she could have brought us the refill and then asked us if there was anything else… which then would have prompted us to request the bill… isn’t that how it goes? Lol I ended up helping my son finish his slice so we can go. Maybe she wanted to turn the table? Although I counted 2 booths and 2 tables open. Hmm don’t know. Hmm. Boo. That was all.
