This store is the absolute worst. There is NEVER anyone to wait on you. You spend most of your time looking for a cashier to be open. The Chanel counter. Looks beautiful. I stood there for over 30 minutes. Ignored Jewelry. Yep. One girl. It’s Christmas for freaking sakes. You know there are men out there doing the last minute dash. But why would there be people to assist Step up your game L&T

If I could give the store a zero today I would. On the last weekend before the holidays there was no available assistant with product knowledge in the cosmetics area. One of the reasons this store will never be as successful as its sister store in Eastchester!

I went into today looking to buy some new makeup and was completely ignored. Maybe I don’t look like Lord & Taylor’s typical clientele, but I was fully prepared to spend good money there. I walked around the makeup department for at least 5 – 10 mins, browsing for the brand I was interested in and saw that every saleswoman working there was just standing around. They were talking to each other, doing their makeup, trying out the products they’re supposed to be selling and not even making eye contact with customers. I didn’t bother going up to any of them since I figured I’d just be met with attitude, since not a single one of them even realized I wanted to make a purchase. I won’t be returning to this location again. A word of advice: don’t profile your customers by assuming they don’t have enough money to spend at your«luxury» department store, especially when the money those customers spend makes up your paycheck. I’ll be bringing my business to the Sephora next door, they are much friendlier and have a better selection too.

beautiful store — way over priced for me — but it really is a nice store for those who are L&T shoppers.
