Just bought a house in Westchester (coming out of the city) so I was looking for a locksmith to be a little more comprehensive than just changing locks. We wanted someone who work with us, assess our doors and locks and make recommendations taking into consideration the newer smart-​home technologies without compromising security. Also, I wanted to find the locksmith I could keep permanently in my phone book.

John installed a new, very secure deadbolt and strike plate on our front door, an automated deadbolt on the garage door and security-​door-​guard on both. We have an issue with a self-​closing door that was getting stuck instead of closing all-​the-​way. John assessed the issue, fixed it temporarily so it now shuts, and sourced the hard-​to-​find correct hinge the builder didn’t use in the first place. John made recommendations and helped research doorbell options, then installed the Ring doorbell.
Does all the right things– courteous, professional, doesn’t overcharge, etc. but most important: John is serious about his craft and takes pride in his work. Everything he’s done for us has been impeccable.

Spoke to John about how to get a spare key for my Chevy. He was super helpful, telling me exactly what I needed and the least expensive way to go about it. Even giving me a helpful tip to make sure I wouldn’t overpay. And he didn’t charge me a cent!
