I had to change my review from a 5 to a 1. I went in here early last year after a while, and the food quality had dramatically changed for the worse. I was surprised by the waiter not caring about our complaints. There were ants crawling around on our table as well, in addition to the A/C not working and the water tasting very funny. I wouldn’t eat here again.

Came here late in the afternoon, about 4:30PM, expected buffet to be kind of dry, it was, but upon seating us the manager went ahead and refreshed the offerings. That was great. Hot, fresh flavors make a big difference. Fresh nan was excellent. The swordfish was awesome. This place can’t be compared to super upscale Indian restaurants in NYC, this place isn’t trying to be Junoon, instead it’s a down to earth, home made meal, kind of place. As someone from South Asia, this place serves exactly what I’m looking — good food, just like home. And the prices are reasonable too.

This place is under a new franchise, Mumbai something I can’t remember the full name. Our waiter was super friendly and helpful. I normally get turned off when waitstaff warn me about the spice level but I’m glad he did because when I asked for spicy Chicken Tikka Masala, he suggested the mild and even the mild was pretty spicy. He said Southern Indian food is very spicy, now I know! On to the meal, the crispy bread that comes with the meal is yummy, the tamarind and mint dipping sauces are so delicious. The garlic and butter naan was scrumptious though a tad bit salty. We started with samosas that were crispy and well seasoned. My chicken tikka masala was delicious, my friends had saag paneer and were very happy with their dishes. We also had some mango lassis that were refreshing and gulab jamun for dessert. Everything was wonderful. There was a private party on the other side of the restaurant and we got treated to lots of music which was fun. I brought my leftovers home and my husband tore up my chicken tikka masala and raved about it. I will definitely be back!

This is the best Indian restaurant in the Westchester area. I’ve been here twice so far, once for the lunch buffet and once for dinner. At the recent dinner, the chicken 65 appetizer was crispy yet spicy(in the Indian sense). The tikka masala was creamy without being overwhelming. According to my South Indian friend, the biryani here is the best he’s had in the US. I’ll throw my vote in with him, though this is the first time I’ve had biryani. Good food is good food. The buffet is a great deal with a nice range of offerings. But it’s been a while, and time clouds my brain and all I remember is that I enjoyed it.

I stopped in there yesterday for some take out, after hearing its under new management and the food was good. I ordered palak paneer and gobi(spiced/fried cauliflower), along w/garlic nan… they gifted me with free rice pudding. Both the Palak Paneer and the Gobi were very tasty, although they could have added a bit more heat(I think they made it mild on purpose). Nan was good, but a bit chewy. Rice pudding had too many cardomon pods, and was a bit too watery for my taste. Menu is interesting, and varied… They do need to do more to give some ambiance to the room, as it is kinda blah… and very dark. While I waited for my food, both the Manager Sunil and another man I didn’t get the name of were very friendly and offered me a free small mango lassi — delicious! They said they were new management and were trying hard to build up the business. Will have buffet friday/sat/sun with increasing prices and offerings as the days progress. Food was good — so will go for dine-in next time. but go later, as the place was empty at 4pm!

This is by far the most amazing Indian restaurant I have ever been to in my life. The food is amazing and service is wonderful. The food is made fresh and clearly prepared with perfection in mind. I highly recommend the butter chicken! Sunil, the manager is very nice. If you come ask for him!

Great food, Great service! I love Indian food, this is one of my favorite restaurants. They have a lot of delicious vegetarian options! They are very helpful when it comes to helping a customer pick out a dish. I have been here a few times and have always received great service! We recently went there and Sunil was our waiter, he was great! He checked in on us & made sure everything was alright with our food. Stop by & check this place out!!!

Stopped in this evening and received excellent service and delicious food. This franchise is under relatively new management and the manager Sunil was very helpful and attentive. My grandmother had never really eaten Indian food before and loved her vegetable korma, which was prepared mildly for her. I savored my saag paneer. Both the poori and nan bread were tasty. I recommend this restaurant especially if you haven’t yet tried Indian food. I hope to go back soon.

Came here on a groupon. The food was not good at all, we did not finish it, and had not desires to take the rest home. I went on a weekend and the place was almost empty. The service was OK. I will not be going back(with or without a groupon)

Purchased Groupon to try this place out, and being a local I wasn’t expecting much. The groupon value made it worth it only for the food. Chicken Tikka and Goat Gosh were good. Taste was fresh and flavorful. Garlic naan was good and the chicken fry was also a nice choice for appetizer. Now for the service. horrible. Waiter stopped me halfway through placing my order to go seat people who just walked in, he never came back, and I have to place my order again with another guy who didnt seem too knowledgeable about the menu. When my girl asked them for what wine they had, he simply brought out 2 bottles and said pick one. We were served an order that was suppose to be for the table seated behind us. after we were just staring at it for 5 minutes, the waiter came back and gave it to the correct table. After we recieved our order, we were never checked back with, and had to flag down our guy for the check and a take-out container which we had to pack up our leftovers ourselves. Probably will not return.

I received a response from this business that makes it clear they do not understand that ever sending unsolicited commercial email at all is unacceptable — requiring those they’ve spammed to jump through crazy hoops(obtaining and using a «password» in order to unsubscribe etc.) is even worse. Spamming is just another example of the terrible service referred to in other reviews of this restaurant.

We happened upon this place in Yonkers one Sunday and decided to try it(since Riverdale has NO good Indian food… BOO!). They had a big party going on in their private room, so service was a little tied up with that group and a little slow. I forgive them because the party was all Indians, and out of the 5 or so tables in our dining room, more than half were Indians… so I took that as a good sign. We really liked everything we got, including tandoori chicken, dosa masala, a lamb dish, and naan. Even our kids who are not used to Indian food liked it(but found it a bit spicy). For me, the spice level was perfect. The menu basically had Manhattan prices, but they do have a lunch buffet which we think we will try next time to get more for our money. Check it out! (I will repeat from a previous review — calling all Indians in Riverdale vicinity — we need you! Come open a restaurant! Thanks)

Went here twice: Once for a party and take out. The party hall has many downsides. It’s ugly, the décor looks outdated. Yellow paint with maroon? Come on now. No A/C. No waiter service, no refills on water. Really slow service. Appetizers were spicy, the samosas and Chicken 65 really spicy. The food was good overall though when it came to dinner. Now for take out, the Chicken biryani was salty and over spiced. The manager did make up for the bad food by giving us another order, so I got the Chicken Tikka masala with naan– which was really delicious. The waiters don’t really listen to your order. Also, I recently found out this restaurant will have a full alcohol service at the bar. I’m sure many Halal going people will be irked and feel uncomfortable since they advertise as using«halal» meat for all preparations.

My husband I went to Paradise Biryani Pointe because it’s close to where we live and we had a hankering for Indian food but didn’t want to drive too far. We ordered Paneer 65 which we loved. Spicy and delicious! We also ordered Chicken Biryani, which we probably won’t order again — it was good, but not great. And we ordered Chicken Tikka which was just as good as what we get in Curry Hill, just not as cheaply. I would go back again just for the Paneer 65. I hope this place stays in business because it’s good for what it is. I haven’t gone for the buffet yet, but hope to soon. I would say just try it once and if you don’t like it, don’t come back. But if you like spicy food and paneer, I think you’ll like the Paneer 65.

Food is basic Indian fare; both the butter chicken and chicken tikka masala were spiced nicely and the garlic naan was good, but it’s the service and atmosphere here which will keep us away. With only three tables of diners in the entier place, and at least three employees working the floor we still saw our waitstaff only once or twice during our meal. Asking for things like extra rice and refills of drinks was nearly unheard of. Two employees stayed at the front desk during our entire visit, one of them being our waiter who only checked on us late meal. We’d hoped to order coffee and try desert but that was out of the question considering we’d likely have to wait an hour just to give the order. The atmosphere is somewhat cold, very bright; A single paper napkin is wrapped around the utensils and it’s going to take you a while just for the chance to ask for an extra napkin. Music is not loud enough to hear above the clanging of the staff wrapping additional silverware in an awkward dark corner of the dining room. Lights are very bright with no ambience at all. Everything about our dining experience seemed to push us away. We were looking forward to having a new spot in Yonkers for Indian cuisine but with all the other choices for Indian in the area, it would take a lot to draw us back here; mainly new owners. :-(

Paradise Biryani Pointe is a small chain of Indian restaurants that is expanding into our area. I have been to the one in Norwalk, CT and soon one is opening closer to where i live in the Hartford area. We were down on Central Ave and it happened to be lunch time and this popped up on the Unilocal radar. Easy to find, big parking lot, very large place. We were here for the buffet, and it was bigger than average. We were the first people in the door, shortly after noon. The food was all very fresh, the hot stuff was hot and the cold stuff was cold. Lots of vegetarian options. Shortly after we sat down they brought us a basket of naan bread. I think the buffet on Sunday for lunch was $ 13.95, a reasonable price but not cheap. The food was all very good, not too spicy but lots of flavor. The usual things were on the buffet, saag paneer, chana masala, dal, chutney, raita, i cant remember everything it was a lot of options for both veg and meats. rice pudding was good, and they had chai on the buffet which is nice. Overall, I like this place. It feels like a big banquet hall which isn’t super fancy, but I think super fancy Indian restaurants aren’t my thing. It is good to know we have an option like this when we are in the area and looking for a delicious meal.
