I recommend this shop for people who are residents of Westchester for who wants to try SCUBA through their PADI Discover SCUBA Program and I’ve really enjoyed and my PADI instructor Brain was the best. And during the course the instructor will get you into scuba gear and introduce you to the basics of scuba diving, including breathing underwater. The gear you wear is Mask, Fins, Tank, BCD, Regulator, Compass, Computer and Weights and the water is 80 Degrees so no need for a wetsuit and all you need is bathing suit and a towel for this course And it cost $ 125.00.If your not sure about diving, but want to give it a try? Then this place is for you.

When I go scuba diving in the Caribbean I always stop 2 weeks before my trip to check out the newest in gear and to get my own gear looked at for quality control. They have great customer service and always provide the newest in dive gear. I really like this place, Its located next to the office world furniture store and they have nice parking on site.

I did my open water dive certification with Scuba N.Y. The staff and instructors are passionate and knowledgable about diving which makes the class and the actual open water dives fun. You are prepared and you know all your skills to be an open water diver. You feel safe and confident in your skills when taking classes with Scuba N.Y. I have taken my advanced as well as my dry suit certification with them and I have had the time of my life. All the staff at Scuba NY make you feel like a true Diver no matter your level of certification. I highly recommend Scuba NY if you’re thinking of becoming a diver or if you’re already a diver. This store knows diving and does its best to help every customer. THANKYOUSCUBA N.Y.

Just moved up to Westchester from NJ(yeah about time). I needed to have my atomic regs services and found this shop on Unilocal.Could not have been happier. Friendly helpful staff that know their stuff. The service was fast(regulators) back in a week. Quality products and a lot to choose from. I picked up a goPro extension pole with a light to keep my hands out of all the mouths I always get to close to. I highly recommend this shop for all your dive needs Andy B

Scuba New York has the friendliest and most knowledgable staff in the area. I took my scuba certification classes here. My instructor Rob was amazing. I learned so much from him and am very excited to going scuba diving on my upcoming vacation! I highly recommend Scuba NY for your certification! Also, they have a good selection of equipment in the store, so even if you don’t need a certification you should stop in for your scuba gear. This is my go to scuba shop.

I’ve been a customer with this shop for years and really couldn’t say enough good things. I’ve had three daughters do their certifications through the shop, bought equipment, had equipment serviced, and have always found the recommendations fair and correct. Importantly,(1) they have their own pool — which is a big plus when doing a certification course,(2) they have some of the brands that I care about that some others in this part of the world don’t carry(such as Scubapro),(3) unlike other shops I have dealt with over the years, they will not just recommend the most expensive but what will work best for the diver. The two one star comments seem to be inexplicable given my experiences. Recommendation: go in and try it and see for yourself.

I just completed the first stage of my Open Water certification course; the open water tests will be completed in April. I highly recommend this facility for the knowledge, professionalism, and friendliness of the staff and the selection of equipment on site. My instructor was Bob Tupper and he was excellent!

I signed my daughter(15 yr) for their open water course and the class was excellent. Everyone, from the owner to the class instructors, was knowledgeable and very personable. Also their equipment is top notch and closely aligned in price to scuba equipment sold on line. Great shop and highly recommended!

I was having some issues with my mask and snorkel that I had purchased at another store so I came here to try on some masks. I was greeted as I walked in the door. The salesman was helping another customer so I decided to take a look at the masks on my own. Someone came over to help me and told me to try on the masks and pick out the ones that fit the best. I spent some time doing this and eventually the salesman came back over. He just basically picked one out from the 5 that I had selected without any explanation as to why I should get that mask over the others. The mask fit well so I didn’t really complain about it. I also picked up a snorkel with a purge valve. As I was paying, I asked about their equipment rental. I needed to finish my open water dives and renting the equipment from here would be closer and much more affordable for me. He told me that the rental package was $ 65. To make a long story short, I’m completing my open water dives this weekend at Dutch Springs and called up Scuba New York to rent the equipment. I was rudely informed that they don’t provide rentals to students that are not completing the open water dives through their facility even though I can provide proof that I am completing my open water dives with a certified professional. So you changed your story… don’t be so rude about it! I called another dive shop and they had no problem with me renting their equipment. Needless to say, I will not be coming back here.
