I made an appointment for l last minute blowdry earlier today. My stylist was older, blonde and foreign. She had a bad attitude right off the bat. I informed her that I, too, am a hairstylist and needed a blowout to last me the week. With an attitude, she started my blowdry. Did not ask me how I wanted my hair to look, or if I wanted her to use product. I asked her to put some product in, as I like volume at the root and throughout with lots of movement and bounce on my ends. Rolling her eyes, she slopped a mound of moose on the top of my hair and proceeded to blowdry my hair straight, as if I was going for the flat ironed look. I kindly reminded her how I liked my hair, and huffing and puffing, she continued. I reminded her AGAIN. she then turned off the blowdryer, and told me my hair only could be straight. This cannot be, I have curly hair, and hair will form however you manipulate it to form. She was just lazy. She got louder and louder with me, as I remained calm and polite. She told me she didn’t care that I was a new client and didn’t care to loose a client like me. Thank god, the manager CINDY stepped in and took over. She was amazing, listened to what I wanted, and executed my blowdry with a smile on her face. I highly recommend Cindy. But do not recommend Xanadu as a whole. Their shampoo stations were dirty and not up to date, and the staff(besides Cindy) was not friendly, or welcoming. Save your money or request Cindy when you book your appointment.

If I could, I would give no stars to this salon. My hair was up to my lower back. I tell the salonist to cut 2 inches off the ends and to give me a deep V haircut. Instead she cuts 6 inches and when I tell her it’s shorter than I wanted she says«your hair was too bloody long anyways haha you should be happy I cut it». My hair was uneven and looked nothing like the haircut I wanted. I even showed her a picture of what I wanted before she cut it. So I call back the next day and demand someone else fix my hair when I go in next week. When I go in, they wet my hair, cut it, and let me leave with my hair wet and a bill for $ 16. Apparently I still have to pay even though they messed up my hair. The lady took her bill back and I left. I recommend no one go there.

Needed a quick hair cut while shopping so I walked in. The sign read“walk-in $ 16.99″. Inside I was told of prices: cut +shampoo= $ 20, cut+shampoo +blowout =$ 40. I chose shampoo and cut since I didn’t have much time. There was no wait. Ivana was the person who cut my hair. She was nice except she kind of wanted to persuade me into not getting layers. However I left her a good tip since she explained that store doesn’t want hairstylists to dry customers hair. If they opt out of the«style«option. Which didn’t make sense because a blow out is different from letting someone leave with their hair wet in the middle of winter. So although the cut was cheap make sure you ask about drying you hair. But you get what you pay for.

I cannot review this is a salon because I have not had anything done to my hair here. The only thing I can review is their selection of products. They have many great brands in one place that are not easy to find. The prices, in my opinion, are the same as they would be elsewhere.
