I’ve lived in East Lake all my life. It’s a beautiful community with so much to offer. The lake is exactly 1 mile around, so you know exactly how many miles you are making when you walk/run around. They host pooch parades, Christmas Boat Parades, Toy Drives, Thanksgiving events. They have basketball courts, swimming pools, workout facilities, BBQ areas, and in the summer has snack bars. They have summer camps, water polo, etc. I love living here. Such a relaxing, peaceful community.

Lived here my whole life and I could never get tired of the lake’s soothing, peaceful« ‘aura’ it gives out. Not only can you swim, play boardgames, basketball, and volleyball, but also borrow duffyboats, row boats, and kayaks! The East Lake Committee is always doing a great job keeping our neighborhood sparkling clean and entertaining!

Go to the annual Holiday Boat Parade. The lights are beautiful and the event really builds a sense of community. Fun!

A really nice place to relax. This is a beautiful H.O.A. of approximately 2200 homes in Yorba Linda. The clubhouse is a great place for residents to grab a cup of coffee, sit by the fire, watch the sunset, or turn on the Laker game with some pals. This is strictly a PRIVATE community, and the privacy is enforced with a 7 day a week security gaurd working from 5am-1:30am on the property, checking East Lake ID cards, and working hard to make sure the community is kept private, to best service those 2200 homes paying association dues for all of the amenities. Residents can, (in no particular order) — take a 25 $ boating class, for residents age 25+, and this allows them to rent Duffy electric boats, that seat up to 10 people. — Sign up for fitness classes offered weekly,(zumba, pilates…) — Use the RCII gym facility with Junior-Olympic size lap pool –Sign up for the year-round Eagle Rays swim club, exclusive for residents, however residents may sponsor guests(family friends) for people outside the community to join the swim club. The club includes Pre-Swim, Swim Team, Masters adult team, and newly added water-polo club. — Basketball court, volleyball court on the clubhouse property,(tennis court less than a mile walk) –Purchase tickets for ELV hosted events… residents can buy tickets for events such as, Casino night, Bingo night, Comedy night, Jump into summer(ages 14 younger), Ghoulyfest(ages 14 younger), Pooch Parade, Holiday Lights Christmas Boat Parade(free), and occasional trips to pechanga/stateline. This is definitely a community to look into when searching for a home to purchase/lease in the Yorba Linda area.

Thinking about ELV really brings me back to middle school, when I had nowhere to go but the local community center(5 min walk away). But when I really reflect back, I have actually used the ELV facilities regularly throughout my childhood AND adult life whenever living at my parents’ place. Nuts… gotta love planned communities. Though pristine and somewhat boring, ELV has merits that people forget about. As a community member nowadays, you get: — a lake that measures exactly 1 mile around for jogging, and it’s not bad for an evening stroll/sit. people that you pass are friendly and wave hello. — a nice lake to walk around in the evenings — a(small) gym with weights, machines, & cardio — four(count ‘em, 4!) swimming pools, ranging from the kiddie pool & family pool to the adult pool & olympic swimming lanes pool. yes, i learned to swim at ELV’s family pool when i was 9. — use of paddle boats on the lake(admittedly, there’s not much lake to paddle on.) — cups of duck feed for the duckies on the lake. watch out, they actually do bite! *_* — venue for parties/occasions in the recreation center. Hmm.never thought I’d be singing the merits of my hometown, let alone praising the un-gated community I lived in. Such is life.
