Big Mouth Pizza

After purchasing a voucher for $ 15 to order $ 30 worth of food from Big Mouth Pizza once before, I knew that they required you use the complete amount on one order. I was willing to work with this requirement and contacted Big Mouth to see if they would also deliver when using this voucher. A male cashier confirmed that delivery was possible as long as we could communicate the voucher number over the phone. Sweet. We decided on our order and called back.
Our original order included two dessert items listed on their menu, which we were quickly informed that they only had cheesecake. Additionally, a different staff member shared that the voucher must be printed and delivery is not an option when redeeming this offer. We had to reconvene. After deciding on our second order choices, totaling $ 30 of course, we spoke again to the female staff member who took our order and said that it would be ready in 45 minutes. Our order was an X-​large pizza with mushrooms, an order of mango habenero wings, a turkey club salad. and a cold Italian sub. 45 minutes? Maybe, but for pizza, I was surprised.
When we arrived, we were informed that they had run out of bread and had to make more for the sub. Also, the individual preparing the food asked if we wanted mayonnaise on the Italian (yuck). We said «no» although later found the sub dressed fully with mayonnaise, I will also mention that none of our other food items had been started at this point.
It had already been about an hour when she began to stretch our pizza dough. As we waited patiently, we were informed that our pizza had blown a hole in the oven, and she would need to start over. Also, (this was Tuesday), we were told that she would not have bacon again until Thursday, which I requested for the turkey club salad. WHO RUNS OUT OF BACON???
Finally, 45 minutes later (an hour and a half after we placed the order) our food is offered to us. We take our order to the cashier and THEY HAVE NO IDEA HOW TO REDEEM A Unilocal VOUCHER! We waited for about another 15 minutes as they checked out other customers arriving behind us, communicated that the manager was sleeping (9:00 pm) and could not be contacted, and repeated annoyingly that they had never seen a voucher like this before. I pulled up the customer service number for businesses on my phone and they were receptive to calling, but stayed on hold for the entire time that we were in the store. Finally, I was told that the manager would be in the next morning and the woman I had worked with with would speak with her directly about the situation and get back to me. I was given a 10% discount and had to pay the entire check of $ 28 something, on top of the $ 15 I had already spent on their voucher.
We get the food home, which is literally 5 minutes away from Big Mouth, and everything is cold from having to wait for sooooooooooo long. My turkey club salad, ordered to be lunch for the next day, was covered in dill pickles. Luckily I noticed early and was able to pick them off before their juices leaked into everything else on the salad.
Long story short, but I am still waiting to hear anything from the restaurant (next day),
despite having called in to check on the status of our situation. Apparently, the manager came and went without addressing the situation, and I’m still waiting to do anything until I hear from the restaurant if they were able to process the voucher and consequently, refund the amount that I had to pay to them.
UPDATE: Called and spoke to a manager who still had no idea how to process this deal.

Great pizza for a good price. Philly cheesesteak pizza is one of my favorites! Staff isn’t the most friendliest, but were not rude.

They really turned this place around, it used to be the grossest place in North York. I’m not even joking about that. But now I would actually eat there.
It’s just a local pizza shop, nothing mind-​blowing. I wouldn’t go out of my way to go there. But if you live in North York, or are visiting a friend and want to get a pizza, I would order from there.

Our go-​to place for take-​out pizza, and we’re pretty picky about pizza. Toppings are plentiful, crust is tasty

Don’t let their location fool you. Big Mouth pizza is very tasty. Big foldable slices, hot and freshly made!

I’d rather make a frozen pizza. Really. It’s basically a convenience store full of junk food that serves junk pizza. It wasn’t as good as the specialty pizza from Dominoes but who knows, Dominoes probably puts MSG or some other chemical additive to make their mass produced junk taste not bad.

I have to disagree with some of the other reviews. Big Mouth Pizza has been a constant in my life for over five years when I moved to North York. It is BETTER than Pizza Hut or Dominoes. Something about the homemade dough and flavor of toppings keeps us coming back. Our regular order is an extra large extra cheese pizza. You can’t go wrong. it always tastes so good. I always highly recommend this place to friends and family.

Pizza counter inside of a convenience store. 3 slices of cheese and 2 drinks set us back a mere $ 5. I agree with Mark M… not amazing, but still decent pizza. Also, newly remodeled and clean restrooms.

This is a local pizza place on George street. Stopped in to grab two slices of cheese. They were actually good. Nothing that’s wow but a step above dominos and pizza hut.
They also remodeled the place not too long ago and I really like what they done to the place. Worth a four star if they can improve the experience.
