Renaissance was my second stop to look for a wedding dress & I’m so glad we went here. Such a great experience all around. Enjoyed it so much that I bought a dress! They are a full service shop, so my party and I didn’t have to do anything but sit back and relax and give our opinions. The Sales Associate (Abbie) working with me was extremely attentive to everything we had to say and would choose dresses that she thought fit our critiques. In the middle of my appointment, one of the store owners (Jon) stopped in to see how everyone was and even gave his opinions (which we loved!). We were all stuck on one aspect of the dress and were trying to picture how we could alter it, and Jon walked in and saw exactly what we were talking about and with a few tucks and pulls, voila! The dress was perfect and more than what I could have ever hoped for. All within and below my budget! I can’t wait to go back for my fitting & I can’t wait to walk down the aisle in my BEAUTIFUL dress from Renaissance Bridals!

Just came from my fitting, I walked in just wanting to look around not fit, but Deborah, the consultant asked me what kind of dress I liked and what kind I was looking for, she asked me about the venue and from that was able to get the styles, color and fabric with the right amount of bling I needed! She spent an hour with me even though I had not made an appointment and she made me feel at ease! I narrowed my selection to 3 dresses quit easily. Planning to take me girls with me back there in two days to select THE DRESS! Amazing experience.

Steer clear, high pressure sales, cut tags out of dresses so you don’t know designer, no pictures allowed — my fiancé found a dress here she absolutely loved — bought it elsewhere due to Beth… Alison was amazing. She was ready to buy the dress because of Alison, but Beth sailed in and made sure that didn’t happen — no clue how sales service works…

Went to Renaissance bridal… what a beautiful experience !! Was warmly welcomed and felt that they really cared about all that were there! John, the owner, was very accommodating and really listened to what the bride to be had in mind! Paula, really was a great help, she really made the whole experience of finding a bridal gown very special! Finding out that Renaissance bridal has been around for about 25 years I can see why! Great experience

Beautiful shop with great customer service. Gowns were a little pricey but the service made it worth it.

I worked with Deborah to find my wedding dress. She is wonderful! My dress was perfect and I received so many compliments on its unique style and beautiful fit. I live in Washington, DC but I’m from York (and purchased my prom dress at Renaissance 15 years ago!) so after several recommendations from other brides, I had to check out their selection. So glad I did, and that Deborah was able to envision the lacy, sexy, vintage gown that I wore for our classic California winery wedding. Thank you!

I am a bride who did not purchase my dress at Renaissance. When I went there to purchase a veil, I was nervous about how I might be treated given that fact. I must say, I was pleasantly surprised! The customer service was excellent. My assistant, Paula, was kind, friendly and helpful. She did not make me feel «less than» for only purchasing a veil/​the fact that I hadn’t purchased my dress there. In fact, she gave a lot of effort and time to help me find a veil to go with my dress from a picture (which was not an easy task). She did not make me feel rushed, nor did she pressure me into making a purchase. She simply gave me advice and matched my excitement. I truly appreciated her time and personal attention. I would recommend going here during a dress or accessory search!

My bridal party & I had a great experience here. We were greeted promptly & asked if we’d like a drink (mimosas, coffee, etc). The woman helping me at my appointment asked me for my price range (and never showed me anything outside of it!), photos and descriptions of what I like, and asked about me, my fiancée, and where the wedding was at; she genuinely seemed to care and paid attention to what I was saying. They have a really big selection of gowns (atleast in my range of under $ 1500) and accessories. I even came back a few hours after my appointment to try on a dress a 2^nd time and they were able to accommodate me. Everyone was very accomidating, friendly, and professional.

I had an appointment scheduled for two months for my bridesmaids, who all traveled from out of town (including me!). We traveled from ALL over the state and one from out of state. The morning of the appointment I received a call informing me they sold the dress my bridesmaids were supposed to try on! An hour and a half before my appointment, how unprofessional! I was planning on buying my veil, accessories and 6 bridesmaids dresses. What a disappointment with Renaissance! Thankfully, I was able to take my bridal party to Blondie’s last minute and they were fantastic!

While I loved the gown, bridesmaid dresses, and shoes I got from here, I wish I could have found them somewhere else. Every time I went in to the store they made me feel like the could care less that I was there and kept forgetting who I was even when I made appointments. They were not helpful at all through the entire process.
When my group purchased the bridesmaid dresses, they said they would send me a swatch of the material that I could use for matching purposes with florists, bakery etc. They said it would come in about two weeks. One month later, nothing. I called and they re-​ordered it and then it took another three weeks to come in the mail.
The alterations also left much to be desired. One bridesmaid paid $ 45 to have her dress taken in, and it was still hanging off her on the wedding day. My junior bridesmaid paid $ 60 to have straps put on her dress and we ended up fixing them at home because not only were they poorly sewn in, but one strap was longer than the other!
To put the icing on the cake, the shoes that I spent $ 90 on did not make it through the rehearsal. The heel caps came off and the nails pushed down through the heels. I had to take it to a local shoe repair shop to have them fixed the morning of my wedding because when we called Renaissance they would do nothing about it. They gave us the number of the manufacturer and when we called the manufacturer they said they don’t deal with the public and the bridal shop would have to replace or reimburse the shoes. Nothing like getting the run around!
I have been to other bridal shops in the area (for example Lila’s) and received much better service. For example, Lila’s managed to make me feel special even when I was just a bridesmaid in a friends wedding. They are kind, helpful, and do an incredible job on alterations. I wish I would have found my dress there instead.
Bottom line: If you want your wedding dress experience to be special, stress– free, and you don’t want to be treated like a second class citizen, do not shop at Renaissance.
