The cafeteria cheese steaks were horrible. Lines are horrible. The layout is wildly inefficient, with the lines winding in front of the kitchen door, causing a traffic jam of hungry, annoyed customers and kitchen staff. The breakfast was ok. I recommend bringing sandwiches and snacks from outside the park.

Okay, so maybe not the most efficient way to eat, but other than buying your own food, this is the least expensive place to eat in Yosemite. It’s set up cafeteria style, but it means long lines as everything is pretty much cooked to order. You order a burger, and the same guy slaps a burger down. You order a pasta and they dump the pasta into boiling water to cook while you shuffle forward. So just be patient — the food I got was actually pretty decent. The burger was cooked perfectly and the bacon was crisp. Was it hand formed from a cow that died humanely? Um, probably not. The vegan marinara sauce was tasty and went well with the perfectly al dente spaghetti. Did it come from a jar? Maybe. But who cares, if you want fancy food, go to the other restaurants around that cost twice as much. It was off season, so perhaps they weren’t staffed as well, but you could tell the people worked hard and everyone had a smile on their face.

Poor food handling, touching raw products(seafood & red meat) with cooked products with out changing gloves, bread rolls shows signs of mould. Would recommend against eating there.

This is definitely a place you eat in desperation and for convenience. When you are in Yosemite and you are so hungry and everything is closed and nothing is nearby– you will eat here and enjoy their below par food.
