Platinum Salon & Spa

I used to be a client of Platinum for about 16 years; however, due to the rudeness of the front desk — I will not be back. Each time I call the salon they claim to want to provide «outstanding service», yet they are normally curt, unhelpful and recently have been condescending and mocking!
I made the mistake of booking my bridal party at the salon and had spent about an hour working with the stylists to get the correct bridesmaids with the correct stylists and in the correct order. The front desk took it upon themselves to change everyone’s order and their stylists. I was less than impressed with some of the hair results and most of the makeup. As were the bridesmaids. It’s quite upsetting when you have to go back to the house in order to attempt to fix what some of the «professionals» had done.
Candy used to be in the salon but appears to be an absentee owner anymore that allows her front desk staff to provide terrible service and leave a bad taste In Clients mouth about the salon.
I do not recommend the salon anymore.

Hands down the best massages in Westmoreland County. Top notch hair stylists and nail technicians. Had my first facial there, and I’m definitely hooked. The entire staff and décor is very welcoming. And did I mention the reasonable prices. Overall great experience, love this place!

I really love this place. I have gotten a massage here and loved it. The atmosphere is very calming and relaxing. I took my sister in law in for a mani and I got a pedicure, both were excellent. I get my hair done by Stacey and she is great. I come out looking MUCH better. She does just a great job really listening to what I want and then makes it look better than I would’ve thought possible.

I have been going here for a couple of years now, Julie L is the best stylist around!!! I just made the move from Greensburg to Pittsburgh and I will make the commute just to get my hair done by her. I always leave happy and feeling great. They have a nice selection of hair products you can purchase too.

Went to have gel polish done for the first time rather than at a basic regular nail salon throughout the greensburg area. Already had gel polish on, was charged $ 16 to have gel polish removed in addition to the $ 45 for the service. No water was used for my manicure, nails weren’t cleaned under, only cuticles were cut in a hurry because salon was closing soon. So my entire process was rushed, gel polish was at the end of the bottle nail tech did not care about that. The next day I cleaned my home four nails already chipped. The following day gel polish began to bubble up more nails chipped all but about two. Destroyed some of my nails, when gel polish isn’t done properly and peels on its own it causes the bail to become damaged. Overall for the amount of money paid (which I am all for supporting local small businesses) I was displeased not satisfied and my nails are basically destroyed and now nubs due to how the service was performed.
Next time, I will stick to going to a nail salon where the cost is cut in half and my nails are properly attended to and where my nails can sustain the shellac don’t bust and peel and have growth and are healthy and strong. Don’t recommend for gel polish at all. Unless you want to pay $ 61 for poorly done gel service, go to a basic nail salon or do it yourself.

I arrived the recommended 30 mins before my appointment… and sat in the waiting room since my attendent didn’t even start work till 12 noon which was my appt time… this is much more of a salon than a «spa» I was expecting a nice massage, maybe a steam room… at least a shower after the application of massage oils… not the case, I was expected to just put my clothes back on my very oily skin… the massage attendent did do a good job.

Was in Latrobe and wanted a spa day. This was a short drive away, so I got a massage and body treatment.
At first was concerned that the neighborhood looked a little sketchy, but the décor and ambiance inside were peaceful, lovely and relaxing. The entire staff was courteous and professional, and I got one of the best massages I ever had, from a nice young lady named Bree. Susan Albert did the salt scrub body treatment, and it was super relaxing, and afterward my skin was amazingly soft and smooth.
Very nice job, ladies!
